Where exactly are you located as I am coming to Italy during the end of September and I might be interested in card if we can avoid shipping costs.
562  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 14, 2019, 02:00:55 AM
Bitmain just released 64 Th at 2200 watts shipped in 3 days after payment. Once again, Bitmain is on a major cash grab. Diff jumps are going vertical. By today's metrics this offering gets you ROI by halvening. But...no way that holds. These will be 16 months minimum ROI. Bitmain is at it again. wait for newbs to go broke, then by their gear. That's what I've done the last three cycles. NEVER buy these hype/cycle peaks. People laughed when I predicted that you could buy S9I 14 th for $200.00. I bought 100's of them from $369.00 down to $225.00. My new prediction....wait and buy S17's for $500.00 new in the box post halvening. You heard it here first. $10,000,00 BTC will be the new $3,000.00 BTC.

Where exactly did you see them releasing that? I've been checking both English and Chinese page every hour for a few days now and nothing is indicating that that your statement is true, as the only S17e 64TH/s that is available now is shipping 21-31 December(3293$) and last available(before that previously noted date) was 21-30 November(2683$).
563  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Antminer S9 profit after the halving? on: September 12, 2019, 01:58:02 AM
Well, S17 and (soon to be) S17e are already turning S9 into unprofitable machines. But it mostly depends on models (price of electricity and of course price of BTC) as some are already highly unprofitable and some are close to zero profitability with average electricity cost of 0.1$ per kWh and price of BTC around 10,200$.

Also, no one can predict the future but it is very likely that the difficulty trend will continue to rise slowly. And when halving comes, it will make a lot of miners truly unprofitable(if price does not rise). So difficulty for short period might get lower as big farms may stop mining.

But for your electricity, it might be profitable for quite some time as your electricity truly is cheap.

Also, this is just my opinion and not in any way financial advice!
564  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] (TX) 7 1080TI's 1 Corsair 1600W PSU on: September 11, 2019, 07:54:21 PM
Do you sell that motherboard(Z270-A PRO) from picture?
And also, can you see how much would be the shipping cost to Novi Sad, Serbia?
565  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 11:43:44 AM
I ordered the cheaper one(S17e) as it comes earlier... And it's cheaper Roll Eyes

I found the reason for higher price for December's unit.
It seems as they added something called: "Product Reference Price" and "Actual Transaction Price".

You can read more about it on their page: https://shop.bitmain.com/product/detail?pid=00020190909102622337qeAMQsXc06DB
in tab called "Notes".
566  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 11:06:27 AM
I wasn't too wrong about prices but I am actually pretty confused with their listings:

Quote
Antminer S17e
Shipping date: 1-10, Nov. 2019
Price:$2784.00

Antminer S17e
Shipping date: 21-31, Dec. 2019
Price:$3293.00

WHAT?!
567  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain to release S17E 64TH on: September 09, 2019, 02:11:02 AM
Maybe bitmain is ready to do battle and price it low...

I was literally thinking the same, and for some reason, I think that the price for first batch will be somewhere between 3000$-3100$ however, second and third batches in my head are between 2800$ and 2950$. But we shall see how it turns out in around 9 hours.

Do you accept escrows from Bitcointalk forum or only purchases on ebay?
Also, is 55USD shipping correct for worldwide?(Just checking as I am located in Serbia and shipping costs tend to be too big from USA)
569  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: BITMAIN.COM Everything Discounted 25 % on: September 09, 2019, 01:35:07 AM
This was a huge gesture by OP! Hats off

I did not see a reply where the end user received the miner? Not enough time?

still in the air. last pm i got was 2 days ago that he was on the way to ship it. never got a tracking yet though. so at this point, glad I used escrow.
so even with escrow he is yet to send.

he said he was on the way to send it on Thursday:

just got off. on the way to send

I am willing to give him 2 more days. mainly because I would know way in advance of it arriving if he actually sent it or at least I should. I have accounts with fedex, ups and dhl where I get notifications via text of any package en route to or delivered to my address.

he was active today at noon.

edit: and if he doesnt send, I will thankfully get my btc back - well most of it, will still be out two transaction fees and the escrow fee - but I gladly pay those vs losing 100% of  what I paid which was .057343 btc of which I will get close to .054 back

It seemed way too good to be true from the beginning but I am still interested to know how will this deal end. Please notify us of any changes!

571  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain introduces the Antminer S17 Pro, Antminer S17, and the Antminer T17 on: September 06, 2019, 02:23:08 AM
Going to try to break down math better for turbo vs normal.

Your stats will help.  Down time vs turbo gain.

Since I do not see that you did the math, I took it upon myself to do it.

S17 Pro 50TH/s in "Normal" mode has a speed of 51.5TH/s.
In "Turbo" mode I do not remember what speed it had but let's take the best case scenario and say it was 62TH/s.

I will skip the cost of electricity in my calculation but I will write it down here so if anyone is interested.
51.5TH/s in Normal mode is around 2kW and 62TH/s in Turbo mode is 2800W(as per Bitmain's specifications).

Mothly cost of electricity would be:
145$ in Normal mode and 200$ in Turbo mode.(I pay around 0.1 USD per kWh).

I had the unit(working properly in Turbo mode) from begining of May until end of June, so I'll use 2 whole months for my calculation.

Downtime for shipping and return of the product was exactly 7 days.
And cost of shipping was 300$(from Serbia to Netherlands) by DHL.

While the machine was working(in Turbo mode) it earned ~0.087BTC which is around 925$ currently.
If it was in Normal mode it would have earned ~0.072BTC+7days(~0.0084BTC)= ~0.0805BTC which is around 860$ currently.

2 Months difference + 7 days of downtime on Turbo (925-860)= 65$
Monthly reward difference (462-384)= 78$
(300-65)/78=3.01

So, for my unit to start earning more than if it was in Normal mode all the time, I need to have it on Turbo for at least 3 more months without it breaking again.

Hope this will help someone make a better judgment whether to use Turbo mode or not. But I will be staying on Normal mode from now on.

Also, if anyone is interested, Bitmain just announced on Twitter that they are releasing Antminer S17e and Antminer T17e.

Both units have shipping dates from 1st to 10th of November 2019. And both prices are TBD.

Antminer S17e has a speed of 64TH/s with power efficiency of 45.00+10% J/TH (same as S17 Pro on Turbo mode).

Antminer T17e has a speed of 53TH/s with power efficiency of 55.00+10% J/TH (same as T17).

This seems like a move to counter Whatsminer's M20S and M21S.

Additionally, here are future batches which I love to see Bitmain disclosing:

1st Batch:
Selling Time: 09 September 2019, 19:00 GMT+8
Delivery Time: 01- 10 November 2019

2nd Batch:
Selling Time: 10 September 2019, 19:00 GMT+8
Delivery Time: 11-20 November 2019

3rd Batch:
Selling Time: 11 September 2019, 19:00 GMT+8
Delivery Time: 21-30 November 2019

As stated in subject, I would like to buy a few Antminers and in addition to that, I am looking for one Whatsminer 20S.

Please send the price offers via PM.
575  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Antminer S9 Volt Rocket Ship firmware mod! ~ALL S9 MODELS INCLUDING S9i S9j~ on: August 25, 2019, 08:03:08 PM
Was the s17 firmware cracked yet like the s15?

I am constantly searching on forums for a custom firmware or at least firmware crack for S17/S17 Pro but I am unable to find it from reliable source so I guess no one has cracked it yet...
576  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: August 25, 2019, 07:58:22 PM
I was looking forward to your answer(even though I wasn't checking the forums this week)....

I totally agree with you and I liked your calculation, it saves me a lot of time, so thank you for that!

Pozdrav ljudi. Da li ima neko da prodaje BTC za eure?
Potrebno mi je oko 0.5 BTC. Nalazim se u Novom Sadu.

Ja uglavnom prodajem jednom decku u bg uzima mi 3% .

578  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: August 20, 2019, 03:42:50 PM
That is the same question that has been bugging me for quite some time... In my opinion it looks like summer is the worst time for ordering and end of winter and beginning of spring is the best. So I am going to wait for at least January.
579  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Whatsminer M20 is announced and available for pre-order on: August 18, 2019, 01:47:10 PM
