61  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17/S17 malfunction: cases, solutions, remedies, RMA history on: November 28, 2020, 05:31:40 PM
I think Zeusbtc have a branch in Poland, not sure if it's just a workshop where they only repair your miners or they actually do sell stuff, it might be worth looking into it, perhaps you or mikxxy should get in touch with them, if you don't get an answer I'll reach out to someone from Zeusbtc.

I'd wager that it's only repair shop in Poland, as their website sells everything over WhatsApp orders and they seem to have their warehouse in China (Hong Kong?). If you have someone from Poland branch, feel free to give me his contact or ask him if they have any warehouses in Europe.

Otherwise, I will try to contact their support to see if I can get in contact with someone from Poland.

[...]

Sadly, as of 2020 I cannot seem to find any reliable resellers here in Europe for parts. I had to order anything I need from Bitmain when they had it in stock and from some resellers I found on random websites and in random telegram chats. Shipping anything was more expensive than the parts I was ordering. It was NOT worth it. Any broken hardware that I have right now will be RMA-ed as that is the best cost-effective move I can do right now. Others might know more or have better luck, but this is my experience.

For example, I have Innosilicon T2TZ with burnt PSU and fully operational hashboards (tested on other unit). Ordering new PSU would cost 110 USD and shipping for it would be 130 USD. While I bought the whole unit (used at that time) for 500 euro.

[...]

eFuse line seems to be normal thing during auto-tune and sometimes during reboot of miner. I've noticed on a lot of different WORKING units which were running Vnish firmware.

As for pool connection failed, I'd advise to try different network as yours might be blocking some ports like devfee pool ones and that would make the unit stop mining (I've experienced this first hand with my home network on thierry4wd's firmware, even though the unit works fine on the network which I use for miners only).

If that is not the case, then mikey's advice to check pool settings and asicboost should be the things to look at.

Electricity is at $.155/kw.

Avalon 720's

I even have a new Whatminer M3 that was not profitable to run by the time I got it.

Are those (Avalon 720s) the one on 16nm of around 900W with 6TH/s?

If yes, they are quite old and I'd rather sell that one to someone who has free or almost free electricity.

I'd do same with M3 as well, not sure how much you waited for those units, but they were quite profitable back in their days IIRC.

Nowadays, they are as useful as usb bitcoin miners. Cheesy

This is a new one, I've never seen any unit drop all hashboards at exact same chip (44).

Have you tried custom firmware or newest firmware from Bitmain? Could you try changing PSU? Could you try disconnecting one of the boards and running 1 or 2 hashboards only?

Evo Vam i thread njihov a DarkStar_ im odrzava kampanju a on je medju DT1.

1. When and why did you become interested in cryptocurrencies?
precisely in 2016 when the family's economic situation was very difficult, and I didn't have a job. and I have to take care of my two younger siblings, at that time I told a friend who contributed to my life about my situation at that time. at that time he explained about crypto and invited me to work on a bounty project. slowly I followed various projects and at that time I got my first salary at that time enough to eat, and I am very grateful. and I get more and more active in doing each job, and a little bit buying altcoins, in early 2017 I was depressed because our parents' house was going to be foreclosed, at that time I could only pray. to be precise, my prayer was granted at that time maybe because of the prayers of my parents. at that time bitcoin and other altcoins went up fantastically. and at that time I could prove that I could pay all my parents' debts and finance my own marriage. And until now I have always believed that behind adversity there must be a way, and God will always help us.

Though, what else happened and at that timeCheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Yes, users will get reimbursed in full - all 100%! Save the date, we will reimburse all the remaining funds on Wednesday, December 16, 2020!
If Bitcoin continues to rise, it will be difficult for them to fulfill this commitment and it will be very costly.
What are they trying to gain from refunds? The reputation gained due to the hack will be difficult to restore and a lot of users are satisfied with the part that was paid.

It will be a good opportunity to see how bitcoin can change quickly and make gains.
I would profoundly disagree with everything you just said.

If Bitcoin rise, it will be same for them (if not easier) to fulfill refunds as they are generating Bitcoin every day. Price per BTC does not matter as they had time to buy when BTC was much lower.

They trying to be "professional" and fulfill what they said when they started reimbursing I do not even know what kind of question that is (italic).

Their reputation has been hurt, not reimbursing everyone for 100% would hurt it even more. I do not know what you mean by this (bolded), it might be the biggest non-sense I've read recently.

And I am not sure what do you even want to say with last sentence and how is that connected to Nicehash reimbursement program.

Phil, I remember you being owed by Nicehash, you might find this interesting:

In new blog post, they stated that they plan on reimbursing everyone before end of year.

I for life of me couldn't find where we talked about it like a year ago or so, so I am posting it here. Feel free to delete it or move it if this is not appropriate thread.

72  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: November 15, 2020, 08:29:18 PM
not sure this should be here. may need to be moved to another section.  but it is good info.

It is affected by difficulty and hashrate directly. If we stay on same global hashrate with small difficulty increase, it will mean that we will be getting less blocks per day therefore higher fees. If hashrate drops a bit after diff increase, that will be even more noticeable in avg fees.
73  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: It is 2020 time for a new diff thread. on: November 15, 2020, 03:36:46 PM
These times are perfect for consolidating small inputs.

Last weekend was even better but this one works too. There has been a lot of blocks that haven't filled.

74  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: issue on hoshboard s9i on: November 13, 2020, 09:30:57 PM
They are not open for me either. But when I try in incognito, it works fine. Not sure what is going on with that website.

If you underclocked it, maybe it is now working perfectly fine on 9.5 TH/s but you made it restart unless your hashrate is under X amount (14263.45 - not sure why this number).

Check options like "Stop mining if under X" or "Restart miner if under X", that is a similar feature to Vnish's one I think.
75  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17/S17 malfunction: cases, solutions, remedies, RMA history on: November 13, 2020, 05:12:04 PM
Depends on what unit we are talking about. J1, J2 and J3 were used on old S9 model as far as I know. I didn't see them on any of S/T 17 miners.

Can you provide more info about your unit and your problem?
76  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: T17/S17 malfunction: cases, solutions, remedies, RMA history on: November 13, 2020, 04:43:30 PM
Hi guys
Which hashboard is hashboard 1 (chain 0)?
Closes to the PSU for example.
Maybe @mikeywith can help me?  Grin

Physical location does not matter. Check data connection cables.

IIRC order is:
0  3
1  2

They are marked on control board, you will have no trouble finding this out by yourself. If you have troubles, then send a picture of control board, and I will circle it for you.
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Innosilicon A10 Pro+ on: November 12, 2020, 05:26:51 PM
If it was official, it would have probably been sold by Innosilicon directly as well as announced by them. When you see new gear (better gear) popping up at resellers but no news from manufacturer, consider it as 99% scam.
78  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Exaggerated Fee on blockchain ($134) on: November 10, 2020, 01:30:40 PM
The problem is that estimation is not correct. This has been discussed over and over. Those algorithm always overestimate fees...

The mempool was cleared last night, anyone could get a confirmation with 1 sat byte and every estimator was suggestions 200 fees, even electrum.

I am well aware that their estimation is overestimated and way too high. I saw the mempool last night, it was a dream come true for consolidating transactions.

Exodus currently puts "recommended fee" at 79 sats/byte even though current mempool average is ~40 sats/byte but that is because in last 20mins we had 6 blocks (they were found in 10 mins tho). Last few hour average was actually around 80sats/byte which I guess is why they take that number even though that fee is currently too high (overestimated) as you can get into next block with much much lower fee.

That is why I said, I'd like them to explain how they get those descriptions and how they choose their "recommended fee".

Sadly, I haven't checked recommended fee for exodus last night so I cannot say how good of recommended fee they had at that time.

EDIT: 2 minutes after this post, estimated fee dropped to 76 sats/byte which I assume was due to algorithm taking last few blocks into account. If that algorithm changes it's recommended fee (average of transaction fee during X amount of time) every 10 mins that would be okay. If X is 24h then it's not really useful, however if X is 4h than it is much better but still not perfect.
79  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Exaggerated Fee on blockchain ($134) on: November 10, 2020, 12:54:46 PM
It would be cool to see a wallet that somehow showed the mempool before sending.

This would be a great feature. Although, an easier one would be like Exodus did:

I'd like them to explain how they choose their description for fees. Or maybe they should show a graph or something. That would be much more useful for newbies.

They could even add explanation of description for custom fees in their FAQ.

I'll send them feedback, they might consider it.
80  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Antminer Z15 with PS making $30 a day $4500 on: November 09, 2020, 11:50:00 AM
I am really interested in this miner but price is unreal and OP is newbie (in every meaning of that word).

He probably doesn't know about Zcash halving:
https://www.nicehash.com/countdown/ZEC-halving-2020-11-17-12:00

He might regret not selling it to offordscott as prices will probably drop drastically soon.
Also, Bitmain can release a new batch of it at any time or even release a newer version (Z17 when?).

If I were the OP, I would either stop selling it and mine with it or sell it within next week.
