Premiere at WDMS, breaking 1 J/T.

Small correction, it's not 1 J/T but 1X J/T as in anywhere between 10 and 19.

X=(0,1,..,9)

4  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EXODUS + criptointercambio.com = SCAM (hold funds 350 000$) on: May 11, 2023, 11:35:50 AM
The only reason CIC would ask for KYC is due to high likelihood of funds being connected to something illegal:

I don't think Dogecoin will go back to the #30 or #40 spot on Coinmarketcap anytime soon, I don't think we will see 25 sat Dogecoin like we did for the past year. A few hours ago, Snoop Dogg even posted a tweet regarding Dogecoin,

https://twitter.com/SnoopDogg/status/1358141965930426368

Basically its not Snoop Dogg but "Snoop Doge", hence who knows what the stable price of Doge will be. I think we might trade in the 75-125 sat area for the next little while. So I hope Phil still has some coin and maybe he should hodl them.

This post really didn't age well Cheesy
I sold all my DOGE. I will buy in when next dip happens.

7  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s9 antminer and m21 s whatsminer cooling on a no windows room on: February 01, 2021, 12:23:33 PM
Without actually forcing hot air out, we talking (1250w*4)+ (3200w), which will require a very huge air-con system, which is a bad idea IMO.

Use a Y duct with an incline duct fan, and rest assured that the AC hole won't be large enough, the standard hole saw we use here is 6.5cm, you will need to widen it by a lot.

You are totally correct for default OCs, but he underclocks them really hard, it could be viable to use AC with a single hole (let's say 10cm2) and small industrial fan.

For default OC or even overclocking above that, I would recommend some really good industrial fan with high m3/h flow and good pressure. Avoiding AC is preferred as it adds additional cost to it as well.
8  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: s9 antminer and m21 s whatsminer cooling on a no windows room on: January 31, 2021, 09:48:11 PM
Depending on OC that you are using a single hole and good fan should be fine. I'd advise against using AC but you COULD if you have no other options.

The power of AC should be equal to power used (=heat produced) by miners.
9  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17pro issue on: January 31, 2021, 09:19:27 PM
I'd try the usual fixes from this thread. Chain2 is dead or dying 100%.

I've had exactly the same problem for a few times on my S17 Pro,  simple plug off and waiting for few mins before turning it back on fixed it, if it didn't, then I'd just put my miner on it's side or no top of it and it would work fine.

Not sure if you bought it or you had that unit for longer time and it just started happening. Could be different problems causing it.
10  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: SSH Unlock & Signature Check Removal Tool Antminer S17/T17/S15 No Installation! on: January 31, 2021, 04:58:51 PM
Noted on that very website you just linked:

After some of the more recent updates, Bitmain© has decided to lock us miners out of our own hardware. We have released instructions to restore SSH to allow us to take back our miners and modify them as we deem fit with our firmware!

Bitmain locked newer units and those are no longer able to be unlocked with the program asic.to was providing so they removed it altogether to avoid confusion. Title of this thread hasn't been changed at all afaik.

Just do the SD card flash if you want to change firmware or unlock SSH.

I did okay on the doge. But I have an issue on my trezor the doge wallet is frozen which means I could have sold more coins and now I can't.

I managed to up my binance.us levels and went to send more doge to them and it is stuck.

Not sure how many more I would have sold at 4-5 cents that got stuck but at least  4 or 5 thousand usd worth (100,000 coins )

there is a thread on reddit

https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/l7qzbj/trezor_admins_is_there_an_issue_with_the_trezor/

Was trezor the problem or was it the doge network?

100% Trezor problem. Similar thing happened on Exodus wallet. They disabled exchanges for Doge, but they did not disable deposits/withdrawals (like binance did at certain point). I managed to withdraw it from Exodus and trade it.

I just add EU prices (Used my countrys most used shops and forums for info)

-1080ti = 450€ (Used)
-5700/xt = 400-500€ (Used)
-3060ti = 509€ / Can be order but no date for delivery (Used same price)
-3070 = 709€ / Long delivery, 829€ / Next day. (Used same price)
-3080 = 969€ / Can be order but no date for delivery (Used same price)
-6800 = 829€ / Can be order but no date for delivery,  949€ / Next day (Used same price)
-580 8GB = 200€ (Used), 260€ (NEW)

In my country these computer forums have rules that you cant ask for more than you paid. At least for the just released cards.

Not sure why older cards are getting that expensive elsewhere. My country is one of the worst when it comes to VAT and therefore prices of GPU as well.

1080 Ti was between 250 and 320 euros before bull run and now they are between 280 and 350 (not really a big jump).

Although, all newer cards are skyrocketing in price and it's really hard to even find them on sale.

On another note, Doge is down to 0.028 which is around 65% down from ATH of two days ago. A bit sad tbh, but I am happy that I cashed out near the top. All the profit is going back into BTC holdings.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto and btc Don't need Fiat for one Reason on: January 31, 2021, 03:24:47 PM
Becouse to create crypto or btc you need electricity.

Just to correct you:
To create NEW bitcoin blocks you need electricity and there is already around 18.6 million of BTC in circulation while there is only 2.4 more million to be mined before we hit a hard cap of 21 million.

There doesn't have to be anything backing the BTC. It's fundamentals are enough; the way it works is already better than anything else we previously had as currency.

Also, I am not sure you understand how traditional currency (fiat) is made, what is it based on and backed by either.

As this is in Bitcoin part of forum. I won't comment about PoW and PoS difference and other altcoins which you also mentioned and referred to as "crypto".
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer S9 does not seem to be running right. on: January 31, 2021, 03:05:31 PM
As noted above, by both phil and mikey, you are using the worst pool possible for asics. I'd personally go with viabtc or slushpool.

Mikey also gave you good options for custom firmware. I prefer asic.to since I've been using them for quite a few years, but others are good options as well.

As for last board, I am not sure if you were overclocking it too much or cooling was insufficient but that does look like dead or dying hashboard. You could try changing positions of hashboards to see if that helps and also visually inspecting the problematic hashboard to see if there are any fallen heatsinks but those might not help.

On newer antminers (like X17) it was useful to try rotating miner by 90 degree (putting it on the side) as possible temporary solution but that might not work in your case, worth a try tho.

I wanted to recommend you something more as well but I forgot now, will edit this message when I remember.
15  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: Whatsminer M3X version 2.0 mining at 8 TH/s! on: January 30, 2021, 08:34:56 AM
Posting Kernel Logs and some pictures would be helpful. There is not much we can tell you to try unless we know what the problem might be.
16  Bitcoin / Mining support / Re: S17 Pro Help, Miners Keep Restarting on: January 29, 2021, 08:43:07 PM
Just to keep things updated, the problem seems to be a laptop that was causing a conflict with these 6 miners. Took the laptop offline and it has been perfect for 48 hours. What was causing the conflict I am not sure yet! I changed IP addresses and moved their locations in the mine. By chance this laptop came on at the right time and it started happening. It was luck to catch it like that, now to find out why.

I am not sure how could that be a problem. Were you using too much bandwidth on your laptop so some machines were dropping hash on dev fee and then they would restart? Or did your laptop just idle?
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: January 29, 2021, 01:46:57 PM
Well, you certainly did good Phil, I didn't have chance to hit 0.08 on exchanges. I cashed out 50% of my Doge a week ago at 400% gain and then I cashed another 40% between 0.06 and 0.07 at around 2500% gains. So I am very happy. Will leave rest of 10% just in case it moons.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer S17e's strange problem on: January 27, 2021, 11:56:39 PM
You would have to upgrade it to a custom firmware, like Thierry's one I linked previously.

But if you do that, please revert back to original one before sending it to Bitmain as it is not covered under warranty.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Antminer S17e's strange problem on: January 27, 2021, 11:35:44 AM
Okay, I checked a tax concern from customs and they said if it will be a warranty repair with no costs, there won't be any additional taxes. If I have to pay for shipping, I have to pay VAT only contributing those shipping costs.

A shipment will be sent from Finland. I am not aware of do I have to pay for shipping costs back and forth. Or is it included for warranty?

I will of course ask this from the shop which are responsible for this warranty.

I think this is very intricate if you have problems with antminers.

EDIT:

I asked details about shipping costs.

Code:
The return costs from repair center to you is paid by BITMAIN.

I think what I have to pay is for shipping to China.

Is it that 50 to 100USD what you mentioned?

Yes, Bitmain always pays the shipping to you, but you have to pay shipping to them.

No, 50-100USD is for repair. I am not sure how much shipping would cost. But I wouldn't count on less than 200 USD for that weight.
20  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to avoid Bitcoin scams? on: January 27, 2021, 10:16:00 AM
To answer your question in title:

- You read about other people's experiences - how they got scammed - how they avoided getting scammed - etc
- You do not trust anyone
- Always check before doing business with any company - read reviews about websites or companies you plan to order something from
- NEVER give your private key to anyone
- If you ever get contacted by anyone you do not know via private messages, talk with them and see how they operate (as they are most likely a scammer)
