Last time we polled the community to determine the accepted definition of "successful double spend," the results were as follows: 35 voters is not the community determining the definition. i can get 35 people to determine that superman is real and that kryptonite can be bought for $12 at a 7-11 You're still ignoring what the community defines as double spending just to twist this around and give your argument more credibility. When your comment isn't what I'm talking about and you know it.

Double spending has already happened and will continue to do so the 51% attack feared by many is just a larger scale also many people theorize Gash has 51%+ currently anyway. My question is when will the 51%/double spending problem be fixed? Why aren't p2p pools implemented better to mitigate this? When will the devs make an effort to fix this obvious flaw? It's common knowledge that double spending has happened and if there is really any naive people I'll build up some sources and put some links here.

There have been many unwanted events in the crypto space such as murders, pedophilia and scams. There are many members of the Bitcoin community that have made a good effort to uncover the truth acting as detectives and even solving some cases, such as the case of Bruce Wagner and the Thailand connection. The CPD aims to be a collective of Crypto detectives in the like working to make the community a better place. Detectives will be recruited and a police department will be formed and we will take down the people that have been destroying the community. The CPD will clean up what has been a plague and if you think you can help leave a reply here or pm me.

Hi, is this a mob? Or more of a posse?
This is a coalition of individuals that will be working to solve crimes and bring justice. How will "bringing justice" actually work, what can possibly be done once the "Crypto Police Department" decides a criminal should face charges? One of the main reasons some crimes haven't been brought to justice is because of a lack of irrefutable proof like in the MTGox "Hack'.The first priority of the CPD will be solving crimes/finding this proof and then acting on it, refraining from accusing the wrong person. Once the proof is gathered an action phase will be initiated, this can mean many different things depending on the crime. For example the case of MTGox were hundreds of millions were stolen, in many criminal laws an actions such as that permits The offender to be put under custody. Agents/Bounty hunters/local government police of committed crime(depending on factors such as corruption) will be instructed to find these individuals and put them under custody stolen property will be recovered etc.

Do you have any experience running a TV channel?
What kind of programming have you planned?
What's your preliminary schedule?
What makes this different than Youtube?
How will you be generating revenue?
Do you have a retinue of advertisers ready to sign on?
BitNetworkTV is not a traditional tv channel because it can be viewed on any device and allowing viewers to chose what they want to view, similar to Netflix. We have many unique programs to the Network planned one being a reality television show, this service is different to youtube in that it offers a much higher caliber of entertainment with every video being top quality and a lot being uniquely made for the Network. Like most Networks BitNetworkTV will be generating revenue through things like ad revenue, promotion deals and product placement etc. Yes we currently have advertisers and also a $100,000 promotion deal being worked on that can be disclosed in full detail once they are complete and our Investment phase has started.

Hello Bitcointalk I'm the creator of MemeIsland an island micronation state (think sealand but bigger) that is the first nation to make crypto currency its legal tender. MemeIsland will be opening to registration soon to everyone accross the internet recruiting will be done through websites such as reddit and 4chan. The idea of the micronation is to see if your everyday reddit/4chan "neckbeards" can run a succesful society. It will be streamed 24/7 and it will be the only true reality TV show. Ask me anything.

I'm getting very mad reading some responses on this forum and the reddit ama with people trying to give him advice on how to manage his finances. I'm fairly young and a lot of adults such as teachers act very condensing. How annoyed would you be if some idiot that can't even understand the flaw in fiat money felt they knew more about finances just because they were older? It gets very frustrating dealing with people that think their superior just because of their age. Don't act like a condensing cunt to someone just because of your pre determined generalized notions you have about them.

I don't know what you are on about in the first post. Click the link: https://bitcoin.org/bin/0.9.1/There are both ZIP and exe files. The zip file you can extract to any directory and run. It includes both the 32 and 64 bit binaries. The exe files are an installer, when you run it, you will be given options to install the program in windows like you would for any other program. Many installers exist, such as NSIS and Installshield. Program authors use these to distribute their programs to non-technical users. An installer creates the start menu icons and uninstall options that you would expect from a program installed in Windows. Yes I was basically asking if turning the zip file into an exe (installer) would need any changes to the coding of the coin, or could I go ahead and just manually merge the files?

I don't know how it was done; however their are package installer programs (free ones) you can use to do this, or to just unpack files.. even winzip has a convert to .exe function
are you trying to do this to your own coin or application ?
I'm looking for the answer for 2 reasons. To see if I can create my own bitcoin wallet installer from the old client and also to do this change to my own wallet application. But would a simple zip programs convert to .exe merge all the files together properly and able to run? How would you recommend me to do this change from zip to exe properly?
