21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bitcoin Boom to $100K Will Destroy Altcoins on: May 08, 2019, 07:39:08 AM
Not only it will not destroy altcoins it will on contrary make them super expensive as well. People who have seen very few rises and falls like this who are noob on the subject of bitcoin never seen what happens to altcoins back in the day so they assume this is the norm when bitcoin goes up. The real deal is when bitcoin goes up the altcoins lose value in bitcoin but they stay around the same on dollar value and after a while when bitcoin stays high and doesn't move they go up as well.

For example, if bitcoin becomes 100 thousand ethereum will be still around 150 dollar value but the bitcoin value will fall, then when bitcoin stays at 100 thousand for a month or two then ethereum will start to back to what it used to be in bitcoin value which will result with a big increase in dollar value of etheruem. It is always like that, altcoins "follow" bitcoin but bitcoin needs to stay high for a while.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Classic or Ethereum? on: May 07, 2019, 05:30:03 PM
Ethereum classic basically is what ethereum used to be when it first started and right now has absolutely nothing that could show people or help people to actually get proffered over ethereum. Ethereum on the other hand could so much with its blockchain, it could do ICO stuff, dapp stuff, data service type of stuff and many more. That is why when there is a versus amons ethereum classic and ethereum there is absolutely no way of the classic winning that. However the real deal is why hasn't classic died yet? Why is it not under 1 satoshi? Why is it still around if it is so useless and has no purpose ?

Well, that is a real good question that I have no answer to and would like to know more about. What are the ethereum classic holders think when they are investing into it? That would shed so much light on all other useless coins seeing attention as well.
23  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Happy accidents on: May 07, 2019, 09:09:29 AM
I think I only had one which was betting on max when I thought it was on one satoshi and it wasn't even that big of a deal at the time. I was betting on martingale and lost so much that I couldn't double so I had to bet a bit more than the last bet instead of double of the last bet and luckily I won that one and had a lot of money and instead of going back to initial bet I doubled it again and bet the max and won that too which made me back into profit.

Now, as the wagers go it was around 0.34 so it wasn't that little but at the time 0.34 didn't worth much, it was like 100 bucks or so and considering most of it was already my capital and my profit was only couple bucks I can't say I ever won a lot of money by accident, I only "recouped" the money I lost by accident which is still decent.

Just because someone doxxed themselves doesn't mean they will have to do an honest work neither. I mean it is still more trustable than many other places out there because at the very least we know who he is but dude already made a house sale as well which was definitely done properly and even got on newspapers so I assume dude is for real.

The issue is he is not focusing his attention to bitcointalk, he probably already has a local fame for raffles after he sold a whole house so he is getting attention from somewhere else anyway which makes him get this business over that ticket sale hump and maybe slowly but he is still selling tickets to those who know him from his local fame. Not everyone who starts a topic on bitcointalk relies on bitcointalk as much as we assume.
25  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 06, 2019, 09:22:47 PM
I think rockets have to force a game 7 in order to have a chance and in order to force that game 7 they have to get this game, they are at home, they came out of a win and they are ready to roll, if they can't win this game and it becomes 3-1 I bet the series will end either 4-1 at warriors for sure or it will be at best 4-2 on game 6.

So, this is game is literally make or break for rockets, they have to do whatever they can to win this game, there is no ifs or buts there is no "questionable foul calls" or anything, no matter what they have to keep pushing the game to their max and win it. Some games are like that, life or death, you think pj tucker will continue being this good next season? You think Chris Paul is not getting super old for playoffs next season? You think you can build the same system and destroy everyone next year? This is the last chance, make it or you are not seeing any rings for a decade at least.
26  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the bear market over? Important Weekly close! on: May 06, 2019, 08:26:24 PM
It is obvious that the "bear market" was already over for a long time, even if we were not in bull market we were certainly not in a bear market for sure. People think that "low price equals bear market" but that is not the case, bear market is when price goes down and for months we have been trying to break that 4200 number over and over again which means we were not in bear market to say the least.

Nevertheless, the good news is we are not possibly in a bull market, we can't say it for sure right now but we can say that it is certainly looking like the start of an early bull run. That is the difference we have been seeing in the past month which is why I think it is really important that all bitcoin holders should wait out this period without selling and see if we will have a big bull run or not instead of capitalizing their profits right away.
27  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to choose the best exchange service and save your time? on: May 06, 2019, 05:55:07 PM
It is not as easy as just choosing an exchange and trade and that is it! You have to consider many things like national laws of trading overseas, national laws of KYC and information and meanwhile still being able to do it in a right time frame that the price doesn't change.

You can take advantage of the arbitrage numbers here and there if you have multiple bank accounts in many countries and already opened a lot of exchange accounts and shared all your KYC information, if you did that already than this is for you but if you have not it is not going to help you as much as you think it would. I had a friend who had bank accounts in china and of course in our country and he did arbitrage all the time which helped him made profits out of nothing, this would be perfect for people like him.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Asset multiples at highest since two previous global crashes on: May 05, 2019, 04:59:21 PM
It is no secret that stock market is swelling up a bit once again. Moreover, the discussion should not be if it will fall because this is stock market and it falls all the time but the discussion should be how far it will fall.

I feel like it will fall only a bit and not as much as people think it will fall. That is why this increase is not that big of a deal since if you consider inflation as well that we had over the course of previous 2 years it was only normal that prices would go up even higher. Even if it falls a bit than it will have a room to grow even bigger (some stocks go down, money goes to other stocks that go up).

Nonetheless, if I am wrong and if the prices and market cap is too much than we are going to see another big 2008 like drop that could help get bitcoins name out there.
29  Economy / Economics / Re: IMF and World Bank explore crypto merits with blockchain project on: May 05, 2019, 03:34:38 PM
Blockchain is not something that is bad for the banks, bitcoin is. Banks and these huge operations could use blockchain to get themselves to the next stage and become better at what they do by using it and could decrease the costs of transactions and even lower speed to an instant if they could do the blockchain development properly.

Nonetheless, when bitcoin is the topic that is literally a currency that could devalue all currencies in the world and that is exactly what China is afraid of. That is why they are using blockchain and "learning" what it can do, they do not want bitcoin to take all the credit and become standalone currency and they want to use blockchain for their currencies to make it equal fighting chance for themselves. It won't be helpful though because it will only postpone the inevitable death of fiat currencies.
30  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't let the holiday catch you - if you are a day trader. on: May 04, 2019, 08:50:14 PM
Let me tell you how serious traders can get. I have a friend who does day trading every single day, it doesn't matter which day it is he literally trades every single day 365 days a year no matter what. He was still trading on his phone during new year celebrations, we were all out we were all having fun getting drunk and partying which he was definitely doing as well, but he was also trading at the same time. His father in law got a little sick, not too serious but just a bit and he went to hospital for visiting and they were going to be there for a lot of hours so he took his laptop with him plugged it in and kept trading there with him. He couldn't see his family for months because they live a bit far from him so he gets to see them only couple times a year but when they came to his house he was still trading with his phone.

Trading is a serious business, every single second matters.
31  Economy / Speculation / Re: China mining decision May 7 on: May 04, 2019, 05:19:12 PM
Chinese mining is not as big of a deal as people make it out to be. People make it look like it is similar to when china banned ICO and than following that ICO went down so when they ban mining the same will happen. They are not the same thing, first of all ICO did get banned in China around the same time ICO started to lose its appeal so it got lower all around the world not just China and that is why we can't say ICO dropped because of the Chinese ban.

On the plus side right now bitcoin prices are going up which means that bitcoin mining will get much more attention whereas ICO was dropping in attention globally, so we are going to see China doing something against the current hype which will have much less affects on the price as well. I feel like nothing at all will happen.
32  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another uptrend has shaped up trying to break $5600 again on: May 03, 2019, 05:38:56 PM
I can't believe the fact that bitcoin is going up no matter what. We have been really going up and not looking back for the past month, anytime price goes down a bit everyone starts to panic and think this is the "correction" that we will see but anytime we go down even a bit we go higher and higher. We are above $5700 as of right now and I believe even if we fall a bit (not $4500 like some claim but to $5200 levels again) then we will go back up even higher and even reach 6 thousand dollars finally.

Each of those thousand levels is a big breaking point for bitcoin and anytime we break those we are probably never going back to previous one for a long time unless another bear run unleashes by some bitcoin rich person selling thousands of bitcoin all at the same time.
33  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price will reach $100 000 on: May 03, 2019, 04:44:27 PM
If we are going to talk about why it should be 100k today than it wouldn't make any sense since it is at the price where people said it should be because market decides what the price of bitcoin should be. If you think it should be 100k soon than that is prediction and we can never really know what will happen to price of bitcoin anytime soon neither.

Nonetheless, if you are talking about bitcoin being 100k "one day" that its just simply linear inflation where everything goes up in a long enough time and it should be going to 100k one day because of the inflation. Look at prices of everything in the world, there are a ton of stuff that went up x20 in price over the years so bitcoin going up x20 after certain amount of time is only expected of it, we just don't know how quickly or slowly it will be.
34  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Freebitcoin bot - What do you think about this tool? on: May 03, 2019, 03:47:59 PM
He literally just has a bot that autobets for you and that's it. It could potentially help you lose much faster but that is about it.

It uses different shapes of martingale as well, I watched the last video with 3.33 odds and it just keeps losing until it wins and takes him to profit, that is all it does, martingale is basically the same but instead of 3.33 its regular 50% odds like always.

Basically if you lose 20 times in a row there is absolutely no way you have enough money to try for the 21st time and in a long enough time there is a big chance you hit that 20 loss in a row. There was some math done about it and if you play 5 thousand hands there is 20% chance you hit 20 losses in a row so its not like unheard of rare thing neither and that is why this bot would never work.
35  Economy / Gambling / Re: LamboForBitcoin.com *Win A Lamborghini Huracan With The Ultimate BTC Draw* on: May 03, 2019, 03:16:14 PM
This is getting super funny, I am pretty sure they are either scamming someone out of this forum because nobody here would pay even for 1 ticket and there are a lot of idiots everywhere in the world or they are lying about how much they sold. They could literally just sell a thousand dollar worth of tickets and claim its all sold and the lambo was given to someone who they are related to and call it a day. It is insane to think that someone got over 300 thousand dollars in couple of days and can't even operate a business properly.

Normally, even a trash collector would have enough knowledge about running a business to just simply listen to your customers, if everyone is saying the same thing they must be asking for something that would help you get better if you listen to them. Since these guys don't, either they are scammers (obvious choice) or they are reaaaallly bad at this.
36  Economy / Gambling / Re: BLOCKCHAIN. The Future of Online Casinos? ✅ on: May 02, 2019, 06:07:21 PM
I have a question, are they based on the Provably Fair or do they simply use some kind of Artificial Intelligence technology that is currently being developed for the games? I say this because I want to know what method they use on the site, since many friends have told me they prefer artificial intelligence systems, because they are more likely to win in the game.

Artificial intelligence systems have long been on many sites including gambling. However, it should be remembered that the percentage of winning is set for the sites with games and it never decreases. This is strictly followed by a special authority that issues the game certificate of the site.
So true. Although artificial intelligence has been widely applied at various gambling sites the percentage of victory is not arbitrary because there is a special organization to regulate the percentage of winnings and gambling sites must follow these rules because otherwise the site might be considered illegal gambling. If this is violated maybe the gamblers will not believe the site.
I doubt any artificial intelligence system could beat any casino neither because its literally a simple win or lose scenario and the house edge keeps the gambler from winning, hence this is not like dota where you can teach the artificial intelligence to play and learn and beat them by luck, you have to really just try your best to not lose all your money and that is it.

AI is something that is basically equal to "machine learning" at this stage and not something that can think for itself, it just learns and not thinks, that is why gambling is not really an option. Of course it can play a billion hands of poker and learn how poker is played but it is definitely not going to be great against any game with house edge at all, it needs to be something that has humans on the other side and not another machine.
37  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does Roger Ver control the Bitcoin price? on: May 02, 2019, 03:40:59 PM
Nobody could control bitcoin prices, they can influence it, they can change it but no matter what they do it will be short period of time.

Look at Craig wright, he sold thousands of bitcoin to drop the price, we are back up again. Which means they can influence it and even change it but can't control it, its in everyones' hands to actually control the bitcoin price.

It is a p2p system and one person  can have only so much power, without any centralized work there would be no one person that can control it, that is why people love bitcoin, it is out of everyones' reach as well as in everyones' hand at the same time. If you think about it bitcoin even has a bit of communism in it as well, like its equal chances for everyone but never more than others for one person.
38  Economy / Speculation / Re: What can people expect from BTC in 2019? What influences prices? on: May 02, 2019, 09:10:44 AM
I think the biggest influence will be the big players if we play our cards right. Remember just a few years ago when bitcoin was the "money laundering, hitman hiring, darnket money" and now we are talking about how SEC needs to decide on the ETF and the big banks and payment processors building their own blockchain ?

Well, that improvement helped bitcoin get to main stage and if we can actually move from "will SEC allow the etf" to "all banks allow people to buy bitcoin from their account directly" and so forth and we can move to a place where bitcoin is something quite common with those big companies than we will make the big next leap as well. It just depends on how bitcoin reacts to them accepting it as much as them actually accepting, we need to play nice for a while.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any Use Cases For Dogecoin? on: May 02, 2019, 08:43:38 AM
I was recently tipped a decent amount of Dogecoin on Tipestry for posting about a bunch of different cryptos. Should I convert the Dogecoin to BTC or ETH? Does Dogecoin have a future? I'm thinking about keeping it on Tipestry for a while and then transferring it out to my ledger (assuming I don't convert it to BTC/ETH)
Dogecoin don't really have any use case and it's just a coin created for fun, though the reason why the coin is never going to stop being in existence is because it is having the glory that bitcoin have of being one of the first coin that came into existence in the crypto world and has a lot of trading volumes because whales are already familiar with the coin and also use the coin to make a lot of money for themselves by causing a bull run in the price of the coin and then dump when it has gotten to a targeted price they desire.

There are plenty of gambling sites which are accepting dogecoins. This is one of the marketplace where we can make use of dogecoins to buy/sell everything : https://www.suchlist.com
40  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Poloniex will become great again! on: May 02, 2019, 07:23:47 AM
I think it is all about them really going out with an exit and removing all the bad parts and continue their ways. Now when you are going to have an exit (specially an exit during binances early days to kingdom) its going to take a lot of your time, you think business runs with just the workers or just the boss ?

When the boss is dealing with an exit to Circle (which is owned by another big bank I forgot) that means nobody really checks the workers and those workers do not really work too hard because they know that they are being sold to some other company and that is always bad for motivation. That is why for a while poloniex didn't worked properly and they dropped a couple of steps but now that they have been sold for a while they are recouping that loss time very quickly.
