61  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / For those who don't know on: December 02, 2020, 11:57:06 AM
For those who don't know, Ethereum Classic have upgraded it's algo from Ethash to ETChash, still running on dagger hashimoto though but it's been modified, now gpu with 4 gig RAM can keep mining ETC without fearing of DAG issue. Even if you have old gpu with 3gig ram you can mine ETC

etchash is the modified dagger hashimoto used by ethereum classic. it is comparable in it's behaviour to ethereum foundation's ethash but allows for a long-term viability of gpu-mining with cards that have low memory (3gb, 4gb, 6gb) available. this repository contains an overview of the specification, and tries to point to existing implementations of clients, pools, miners, and other tooling relevant for etchash.

62  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uniswap on: December 01, 2020, 08:33:04 AM
did you guys try trading on it? i heard fees are insane. how much gas i pay for lets say 100$?
im fomo with bunch of shitcoins there as they grow insanely, i wanna catch some profit there before coins dump...
I don't do trading on uniswap because I never like the decentralized idea in crypto space today, you can buy bitcoin or other coins on uniswap but if you are trying to buy tokens you need to be extremely careful, there are many cloned tokens on the exchange, high fee is still present too, making centralized exchanges the better choice
63  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO scams vs DeFi scams on: December 01, 2020, 08:28:11 AM
If we talk about new projects i think as far as DeFi projects are concerned if we pay good attention we can figure out the low quality or fake scammy projects but among ico projects it was not easy to identify fake projects.
Regarding hacking and stealing i agree that most of these events look suspicious and may be done by some insider or employee if the team itself is not involved.
How can you identify a fake DeFi projects compared to ICO projects? ICO projects have fake teams and DeFi projects have the same thing, some ICO projects have real team members and they still scam investors, isn't the same thing happening around DeFi projects? Even if you have some good experience you should know that everyone won't be like you, newbies are the most ones falling for scams in crypto space
64  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty rewards on: November 30, 2020, 10:02:36 AM

What projects should do, is define a reasonable bounty pool, and expect reasonable results.
Exactly why would they even promise something that they don't even have or couldn't deliver?

We've discussed this many times before, it's easier for new projects team to settle bounty hunters with their native token as it costs nothing until the token add some values later, those projects that introduce USDT payment or ETH are well funded already probably by private investors or from the team themselves, stop hoping for all projects to start doing the same
I am just stating the fact that we shouldn't blame the hunters for the projects downfall because it is also the projects fault.
Besides those who even reach their minimum goal should have enough funds to ensure their projects movement.
I'm not surprised, even in our daily lives you can easily get blamed for something you know nothing about, you can offer help to people and still get blamed in the end, those projects are built by humans like us so we shouldn't expect all of them to be trustful or have good conscience, the fastest way to get out of dirt when their tokens goes diving is blaming bounty hunters.
65  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Airdrops or "Scam-drops"? on: November 30, 2020, 09:55:48 AM
Airdrop should be hundred percent free because it's a way of finding new supporters for the project so giving out free tokens will attract people and they will want to know more about the new project, it actually works but it's just that nowadays too many unqualified developers are creating their crap projects and using stuffs like airdrops and bounties to create awareness for their crap projects, you will only have problem identifying the good projects if you don't know how to do good research.
66  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Been cheated again on: November 30, 2020, 09:51:58 AM

SCAM

Bounty hunters got cheated again, actually is this ever going to stop? Do you guys remember OLPORTAL? Bounty hunters are asked to drop ETH address to get tokens and they end up forcing bounty hunters to go and download OLCF wallet and import recovery seed to receive tokens, how did they cheat? Their shit OLCF wallet only accepts Recovery seed only, leaving out those with private keys, you can only import if you are using mycelium or others like it but for those using multi wallet like Coinomi we are out of luck, the team just ignore others like that.
If you aren't prepared for results like this you should stop promoting bounties because out of 10 new projects only up to 3 projects have sincere team members that cares about their promoters and also their very own reputation, this is just how things works in crypto space, unfortunately it's not going to stop happening
67  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE on: November 29, 2020, 08:11:25 AM
As we all know this is the age of making money online. We are all making money somehow.
I make money from airdrops.  not much is happening these days with AIRdrops. But nothing has been earned from it yet.
I want you guys to tell me how to make money.
PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE
Airdrops are less rewarding this days because most high quality projects don't bother to introduce airdrops anymore unlike in 2016 and 2017, the only high quality Airdrop that happens this year is Origin protocol, I made over 150$ from this airdrop alone, a better option to airdrop is bounties but this bounty thing has way too many problems too, you won't always get paid most times and there are too many scam projects planning to use bounty hunters
68  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Your Trading Capital on: November 29, 2020, 08:06:10 AM
The mistakes many people made when trading is using all their deposited asset, that's not how trading works, for you to understand how crypto trading works you need to go in with small percentage of the whole deposited amount, start with 1% or 2% of your max tokens or coins and also try to develop the habit of withdrawing your profits as they come because centralized exchanges can get hacked at any time
69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Portfolio before and after the pandemic on: November 28, 2020, 09:26:46 AM
My portfolio maintained it's value in the pandemic time because I was only into Bitcoin and USDT at the time, I have other savings that keep me alive through out the pandemic period, never tough my portfolio for the pandemic issue, I'm glad I hold onto my bitcoin because this year bitcoin remains the most profitable digital asset.
70  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't venture into something you aren't completely sure about. on: November 28, 2020, 09:23:21 AM
Staking is more viable option than mining but not all POS coin are good, some losses value while you are already staking them, you can't sell until the staking period is over since your coins will be in locked state, the best coin I can stake on binance right now is USDT or BUSD, or maybe even decide to lend them out?
71  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Seeking for knowledge on: November 27, 2020, 10:38:11 AM
Guy if you are looking to store large amount of money and you can't afford to buy hard wallet then you need to check yourself very well, because something is open source does not mean it can't be hacked. Please do not use mobile wallet to store your funds because they are highly vulnerable
As for me I don't see much difference in hardware wallets and other wallets that are open source, hardware wallet was built by humans to, ledger for example, to connect and make transaction on hardware wallets you need to connect the hardware wallet to a PC for online access, how is this even safe? Hardware wallets are a bit better but anything can still happen
72  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: You can't always hit the right target on: November 27, 2020, 10:31:29 AM
We can't always hit the right target but we will have lesser disapointing results if we are good at doing research, those who don't want to fail at all won't get anywhere, I'm not one of those who start spreading nonsense about bounties when I know that bounties are base on one's luck and hardwork, with deep analysis you will easily know which project will worth your time or not
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: We need more bubbalexs and Hhampuzs in this space on: November 26, 2020, 10:26:55 AM
We sure need more good bounty managers in crypto space today but we can only hope that new Bounty managers work their way up too, they must be determined like bubbalex to surpass or be in same level like him, bubbalex don't promote projects because of how much they are willing to pay him, for him it's not only about money but reputation too, I hope this gets to new bounty managers in this space
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How true is this? on: November 26, 2020, 10:24:15 AM
Is it true that if altcoin season starts many projects will be forced to launch just to take advantage of the green market? There are some projects that failed to launch since 2019 I heard and some said that in 2017 many projects start rushing to take advantage of the market, how true is this?
Bad projects use crypto market conditions to their own advantage, they aren't so confident that their project will be successful, all they can do is wait for an opportunity but little did they know that they've let their investors down and also lower their own credibility too, such project will only receive dump after the tokens are listed because people won't trust them
75  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It is fine to support Bitcoin Cash. on: November 25, 2020, 10:28:39 AM
Many people don't like BCH because of its many forks but to me that's a lame reason to hate a crypto coin like BCH, how about checking out what this wonderful altcoins have in store for the world crypto world? BCH is a perfect coin for p2p decentralized payment system compared to those new useless fake decentralized projects today.
76  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I believe I made the right choice on: November 25, 2020, 10:23:05 AM
It's definitely the time to invest on altcoins instead of mining altcoins, if you are smart you'd know that it will take you days to make insane ROI if you invest on top altcoins compared to mining 24hrs with electricity that won't make a difference until you recover your ROI, that's gonna take you a very long time and there is a chance that your miners would die in the process or become obsolete
77  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP price Hit $0.9, suddenly goes down in second on: November 24, 2020, 09:38:48 AM
0.9$ is possible for XRP, whatever happens should be consider a correction right now, wait till bitcoin finds it way up again and see what happens, I know many are buying XRP because of Spark airdrop but XRP already have what it takes to surge higher, this is the altcoin than higher institutions and banks have mind full mind on
78  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO, IEO! Which one do you want to return again? on: November 23, 2020, 07:41:41 AM
Creating new concepts means increasing the amount of scamming in new ways. I think i had to come back to invest in IEO.

- You know ICO had a lot of success at a time where investors weren’t disappointed, but a few days later a lot of scam ICOs were invented where investors lost a lot of their money.

- In the same way, many projects run by IEO got a lot of response at first but later they did not last long.

Again at this point in the same way Defi has created excitement where investors were smart at first time by making more profits but that is now where the scam scheme has grown and i don't think this concept will matter much anymore.[b/]
Fix your topic, IEO isn't gone yet it's still here and fully working, only ICO is been forgotten because of scammers, It's not too late for ICO to make a come back and few projects are still using ICO today but IEO gives more confidence than ICO, both ICO and IEO can coexist all that matters is good projects not crowdfunding
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying Ripple for the XRP Spark token drop? on: November 23, 2020, 07:35:28 AM
Hi,

With the upcoming promotion whereby you are offered free Spark tokens on 12th December depending on how many XRP you own I was wondering if people here think this is worth buying into?

I have seen a lot of suggestions that XRP is going to take off recently and this token drop along with the potential regulation from the SEC have been stated as the main reasons.

https://flare.ghost.io/claiming-spark-faq/

Is anybody here going to be buying into this giveaway?
I don't know anything about this airdrop but if the airdrop project is good enough then you can try it out, you will be winning in both places, you can sell the airdrop for more money and make huge ROI for holding XRP as well, it's no lie that altcoin season is happening and presently XRP is already 30% up, it's a good buy
80  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just a wish for small projects on: November 23, 2020, 07:24:01 AM
What are small projects? I'm a bit confused here, not using top exchanges or not having the money to list on top exchanges means that a project is small or what? There are very good projects under top 100 on coinmarketcap that have good use cases and they are listed on fair exchanges like probit, this doesn't mean they are small projects, binance and Okex or other aren't the only place for all new projects
