Throwing more at it should be in 3rd place here shortly.

When it said "Shares: 78,256,842,535 (197.60%)" - What is the maximum it could ever get to? Could we be in the block winter for days more? Or are we getting close on the zero luck factor?

Thanks

in theory and terrible luck you could go to 50x even 100x what we have done.

Simple conception grab a pair of  dice think snake eyes  or 1 + 1     the diff factor is  36  so  how many times can you toss those dice without tossing snake eyes

72, 80, 100, 200 ,300, or even 1000 times?

so in our case diff is 39xxx and we tossed 78xxx

So what you are trying to say is that we should have got snakeyes a lot sooner eh, if our roll of the dice was totally honest.

here is why I like the pool look at the last ten blocks we did get snake eyes  in:

11 rolls----good
28 rolls----okay
6 rolls -----great
26 rolls-----okay
29 rolls ----okay
8 rolls------great
6 rolls------great
2 rolls -----really great
4 rolls -----great
20 rolls ----good

that is  a run of ten blocks every one was  better then average to great.  that is rare in the game of mining

Pool's broken......Kano, please fix your crappy code Tongue

Yes, its a joke. Last time I asked for a block though we got one, so here it goes. How about another block please?

Edit: oh, one legit question, how do i get rid of old workers? Do they drop off after x days non use?
There's an item down my todo list to add an option to have it not show workers that haven't had shares for ... I guess a week or something like that.
I've not decided the time frame control(s) yet - but yeah it's on the todo list.
I don't give time frames for non-critical changes coz I'll usually disappoint people who take too much notice of the time frame Smiley
But rest assured, it is something that's been requested already so it's definitely on the todo list.
Cool, thanks. Yeah purely cosmetic so no rush. Smiley

Instead of making it automatic, how about adding a "Hide" button to the end of the column under Worker/Management tab.

Have the pool website stats gone down? I'm seeing zeros for all stats, workers, pool speed, hash rate, shares, network last block etc.

Miners are reporting that they are still hashing though.

Just me? Anyone else?

I'm still mining but the only stat displaying on the website is pool blocks. It doesn't matter if you are logged in or not, the block page still works but everything else displays"?".

Just doing a ckdb update.
Mining is unaffected by it, but there's been a few changes in git that need to be running.
Will be completed soon.
The 'blocks' page and login work while this is happening, but all userstats are unavailable until it completes.

Yeah there was also an unexpected ckpool restart in there at the end so many people will have failed over to backup Sad
All up and running again now though.

Thank you Kano for pointing that out. i could see my miners still working but didnt look to see where they were mining.

This is a total newbie question but ... what factors go into making a long 78 +hr block? Is it just down to pool size?

Yep, keep calm and mine on ... review your monthly/weekly stats (don't do daily) ... averages work out. The pool is gradually picking up faster hash rate.

EDIT: Pool stats are coming back up nicely.

a certain operator of another small pool rented my hash for 24 hours, so I apologize for the loss of my 2.75 TH/s. I'm surprised anyone is willing to pay 0.0457875 BTC a day for 2.75 TH/s, but I won't complain about  it unless the pool finds a bunch of blocks in the last few hours of the rental period Wink .
