BlackRock hops on bitcoin bandwagon with new Coinbase tie-up.

Quote
After years of resisting, the world’s largest asset manager has finally taken the plunge into crypto in a substantial way. BlackRock, which oversees $10 trillion in assets, is partnering with publicly traded Coinbase to provide its institutional clients with access to cryptocurrency.

Bitcoin is the first digital asset being offered through the partnership, according to a blog post Coinbase, the most popular crypto exchange in the U.S., released on the matter today. BlackRock’s Aladdin investment management platform will offer connectivity to Coinbase Prime to offer crypto trading, custody, prime brokerage and reporting capabilities to shared clients.

“Common clients of Aladdin and Coinbase will be able to manage their bitcoin exposures alongside their public and private investments for a whole-portfolio view of risk,” BlackRock wrote in an announcement.

Holy goodness.  That either means we are the new rich elite, or that we are totally fucked.

I am leaning towards fucked, but...  (or should it read "but, fucked?")

this seems a fit for both entities...

Pigs Can Breathe Through Their Buttholes and So Could You, Scientists Say

Pink, fleshy, and round, the anus has a lot in common with the mouth and is every bit as important.

But the similarities don’t just stop there. Buttholes can also help animals breathe, new research suggests.

A team of scholars in Japan has found that pigs can absorb oxygen through the anus, in studies exploring treatment for people with respiratory conditions.

Returned from a week vacation in Zeeland. Hired a condo near the North Sea.

Barely used the internet during that time.

Fishing, beach walks (with dogs), boat trip, quality conversations with a glass of wine in the evening and -what i loved- jogging on the beach early in the morning.

Empathizing with nature environment cleared my mind from daily bullshit, it has positive cognitive and mental health benefits. It's actually a personal obligation for all people to do that few times a year.

At this scale and resolution, the images are both the same, just that the reddish pic at the end of the morph shows more h-alpha content (distant nebulas and galaxies) in foreground and background. Or was it some kind of joke i didn't get?

how about now?

Not quite sure how McCormack will ever recover from this!

Welcome to lawl.

You know... that payment of 0.00005315 BTC would be perfectly suited to be settled on lightning.

My first impression (even after glancing at those linked news releases) is that seems to be like a win for that fucktwat scammer Craig Wright.

If Wright even received £1 as nominal damages, then that ruling seems to have also precluded McCormack from collecting legal fees (and/or punitive damages from Wright) in regards to either Wright's frivolous lawsuit or the fact that the Wright twat had submitted false evidence to the court in support of such frivolous claim.

It could have been worse, but still something does not seem proper/fair/just about the ruling.

its probably the best outcome possible aside from dismissal
basically the Court saying yes...he was most likely defamed but hes a liar and probably deserved it
any future litigation will be hampered by this...win win id think

the Sunday evening wall report

Godspeed Nichelle

---------

closing the month at $23,322.53 bitcoin posts a 16.84% increase for July...the first since March      bulls continue to hodl their ground and saw the weekly candle close in the green again with a 3.25% gain

down 1.4% on the day with modest weekend volumes, bitcoin is currently trading near $23.4kish

appetite remains strong..I think this will carry into August for the short term...things are looking up...it might be an actual bottom   *gasp*

nothing has changed but sentiment...rightfully so I would say...but eventually everything turns around

should be a exciting rest of the year

steady on

in other news...any you ever had to deal with a rattlesnake?    always fun    had one at the bottom of the steps this morning...
it got away under the house after a furious 5 minute battle
my snake stick broke
i like to catch and release...far away...but
id have gladly kilt this bugger
aggressive and fast...almost clipped me twice

A rattlesnake strikes
For real, almost got me
Now under the porch

Tried digging it out
Got away, under the house
Not going in there

Nothing left to do
But stack more sats and wait here
Hoping to catch it

Even if you don't get rich, just being your own boss and having control over your life puts you as you said at a much better place.
If the business is something you are passionate about, the hours and effort won't seem like work.
The satisfaction gained from running your own business sees many continuing to work well past normal retirement ages, while for 9 to 5 employees retirement cannot come soon enough.

>>>If the business is something you are passionate about, the hours and effort won't seem like work.<<<

Mark Twain once said, "work is what a fellow is obliged to do". If you treat your business as a hobby, it's not work.

>>>The satisfaction gained from running your own business sees many continuing to work well past normal retirement ages, while for 9 to 5 employees retirement cannot come soon enough.<<<

And then when employees retire, they don't know what to do with themselves and the stress ages them quickly.

Most businesses have a way of winding down naturally, so retirement is less abrupt.

So i got two scenarios in mind:

1. Bitcoin upity getting rejected in the $24k to $25k area, correcting a bit before further up moves.
2. Bitcoin goes up to $26k-$27k before correcting short term.

WO traders, any opinion(s) on this?

About to get very bullish by the end of the week by the looks of it. Short-term - 4hr and daily chart - don't look so hot right now. But the Weekly is finally starting to tick the right boxes for a trend reversal.

With the Weekly RSI due to close outside of oversold territory this week (bucket list criteria for a Bitcoin low) this would likely generate enough confidence for reclaiming the 200 WMA next week (if not also this week):

Many still think this rebound is a fake-out. What they usually forget is that EVERY trend reversal looks like a fake-out until it's not, so that's why it looks like one Grin

The weekly candle is currently at +9%, otherwise the biggest weekly increase since March (4 months ago), slightly more than early July's +8% move from $19K lows. A bullish weekly close could lead to another week of consolidation like in mid-July, but otherwise with RSI leaving oversold conditions and moving above the 200 WMA I see much more liklihood of bullish continuation with a 10%+ candle in order to re-test $25K.

In summary, a bullish close this week (further confirming a low) = good chance of a 10-20% move to the upside next week, to $25K to $28K. We've already had 4 weeks of consolidation now, it's time to move on.

I don't even think this is that bullish a consideration, I'm simply talking about another ~10% move to the upside at minimum, with the possibility of a monster green +20% candle.

when I look at the chart...all i can think about is that there is $45kish worth of dip overhead

anyway...waves across the pool shown by previous cycle long fibs and arbitrary doodles

A busy week. Bitcoin is trading near $22.5kish on light weekend volume. Still up 8.5% as we start the last period of the weekly session despite heavy consolidation over the last few days. Again...volatility expected to increase as we near the legacy work week.

US President Joe Biden tests positive for COVID-19fu
President Joe Biden has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing "mild symptoms," White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said on Thursday. Biden, who is fully vaccinated and twice boosted, has started taking Paxlovid, Pfizer’s antiviral drug used to minimize the severity of COVID-19. This is the first time the 79-year-old president has tested positive, according to CNN.
