But...

Until that bit goes then it's still straw grabbing to an extent.

It's a long, long way from being a no brainer yet.

Why? The technology is there. The issue is that most people are not aware of that. Once they find out they can receive cash cheaper, faster and without any 3rd party in-between they'll stop using WU.

Because everything happens when the "time is right".

For example, carbon fiber was invented in the 60's only to be widely used after 30 years or so.

The Sun is going to engulf our Earth at one point. Should I be worried?? No. Get real mate!

You should be worried.  Compared to physical metals, shitcoins will age about as well as Tom Cruise's girlfriends:

Yes r0ach, I'm starting to get worried now that you proved it without any shed of a doubt. Shocked

2824  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 21, 2018, 11:29:30 AM
Complex systems always collapse and revert to simpler ones.

OK, GIVE IT ENOUGH TIME that is. Briefly. And then of to complexity again.

The Sun is going to engulf our Earth at one point. Should I be worried?? No. Get real mate!

There is no scenario in which the failing global monetary system based on scams and fraud flips over to craptocurrency (another complex, centralized, and fraudulent system).  It's guaranteed to be metals.

Hey, I just told you, in that scenario it is guaranteed to be salt. Buy salt. A lot of salt.
We probably won't be around to witness your success, but never mind.

@Guys I'm starting to figure out the realr0ach phenomena.
He seems to suffer from the Stockholm syndrome.
It has been so many times that he has been gang banged - bitch slapped & broken in here, that now he loves it and keeps returning & asking for more.
I use to enjoy an opposing voice, but now it has become a little too boring.

Sorry r0ach. Personally I will be very nice with you from now on. I have learned to never disagree with a fool.

come on BTC

PRE weekend pump ? Smiley Cheesy

Hopefully. We will know in few hours.

I've already stated that I'm worried if there will be any type of economy left to spend metals in when the Jewish, usury debt bubble implodes.  There might just be martial law or global Venezeula.  Bitcoin will definitely be completely useless.  Odds of some sort of a cyclical dark age are pretty damn high.  Civilization is overly-complex, overly-specialized, and lacking redundancy on a local level.

When an overly-complex system collapses, it does NOT magically shift into an even more complex one like craptocurrency.  There will either be a hard landing and a dark ages, a hard landing and back to metals as money, or the typical Jim Rickards and others style claim that the system will go bust, they immediately initiate a new Bretton Woods, and right then the price of gold instantly goes from what it currently is to $10-80k with silver also at some astronomical number and life goes on.

I do not see any circumstance in which the system goes bust and bitcoin is in any way usable or has any type of value.  Metals are the Schelling point of money and what receive all the wealth transfer from, not shitcoins. There are also massive govts equipped with nuclear weapons like Russia and China who have already cast their vote and it's metals as well.  The only people attempting to push digital shitcoins are the Jewish occupied, western govts (who are being defeated left and right) with evil kikes like Larry Summers telling people to buy them.

Very narrow minded approach. Complexity is what makes life so special btw.
Global Venezuela? BTC useless?
How can you even state that. Are you getting paid or something for every such statement?

Anything can be used as a mean to transfer value: paper, metals, crypto & salt! As long as both parties involved are in agreement.
Salt use to be valued as much as gold back then.
Maybe you should invest heavily into salt mate Tongue

Bitcoin is similar to the SETI program; neither has any reason to exist but still do for some reason.  Bitcoin centralized immediately after release making it totally pointless which is easy to tell from the numbers in your example, and for SETI:

1)  Highly generous Drake-style equations would have life something like 1000 lightyears apart at best

2)  More realistic ones would probably have something like 1 species per galaxy

3)  Radio waves follow inverse square law (1/d2) so they'd need to be blasting radio waves with dyson sphere style power

4)  They probably would not even use radio waves

Everything is so relative - but I guess you know that.
Let me ask you one thing. How many conditions had to be met in order for life to exist in the first place?
Yet, here we are  Grin

Last bear market was there talk along the lines of 'the bottom won't be in till all the altcoins are utterly rekt'?
Btc was king at that time with like 80+% dominance!

Strange, I was under the impression that BTCTC is still KING..

The rest are just his bitches, with more bitches accumulating over the years and turning into a harem Tongue

Well, very nice to see this rally. However, even if this is a suckers rally, that low 3000 area looks fucking solid. I've stated on here before that Bitstamp's order book is a strong indicator telling us where the bottom is. Why I think this, is because Bitstamp is what seems to be an honest market and has no margin or shorting. When the price was at 3200 you needed about 2800 btc to be sold to take the price down to the 3000 level, but, if 2800 btc were bought the price would go to 4400.

At the 6000 level the order book was actually balanced between the buys and sells, hence it could break down with relative ease, in comparison to the 3000 level. There is massive buy support at the 3000 level and very little selling support. It's simple, not only is 3000 considered a good level to buy, we also get twice as many btc for the same amount of fiat compared to the 6000 level. And the sellers obviously don't want to sell at that level because what's the point, they have already lost over 80% from the highs, might as well just leave it to be lost, or hope that btc repeats it's historical patterns and booms again in a few years.

Nice; I buy most of your theory, and think your post deserves merit and a hat, neither of which are in my remit...

I would love to know which part you don't buy?

2833  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum 40$ in 1-2 weeks on: December 18, 2018, 01:41:06 PM
we have to wait and see which force wins the arms race.

Moby Dick always wins my friend...
Just follow Moby for the left overs.

Let us all just wait until something happens. Eth will either fall further or recover. But if eth will ever reach $40 many will be hurt including me as well. I invested at eth while it was below $150 and it's sad to admit that I might loose more when eth keeps falling. I'm just hoping that eth and the market will bounce back.

We've all been there!

I also have a prediction which base on ETH's chart and many news from dark market, its price can reach 40--50 USD in next time. Because the current price hasn't been price that big sharks desire

Indeed Wink

I think you're just panicking. In my opinion, whales are now engaged in increasing the reserves of cryptocurrency. And as shown this year, the reserves of ETH on the wallets of whales increased. Already at the current coin price, mining becomes unprofitable and miners sell their coins to survive. Therefore, I do not think it will be worse than now.

Miners selling off, have little effect ATM. Whales accumulating ETH slowly, for me is an indicator of a drop pending to come, only of course to buy back cheaper at an instance or much shorter period of time.
2834  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 18, 2018, 01:24:03 PM
This is the time when you should recommend to people you actually care about to get into Bitcoin. Not just buy but understand it. (ie...send them a link to the white paper).
Tried that many years ago, didn't work then, wont work now. Their loss.

It is very hard - if not impossible - to suggest/convince people that have no relative back-round specs, to go into BTC.
Partly because of it's social nature, and partly because it's very difficult to really understand. It requires effort & time, and usually both of these are limited.
2835  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 18, 2018, 12:13:24 PM
i will love the moment when we take off again and the naysayers, nocoiners that all where going to BUY @ 5000-4000-3500-3000-2500 etc
are going to be left alone again
GoGoGoGo BTCBTCBTCBTC

I'm all-in in this one mate. So if you don't mind, I'm trying to get the maximum out of it.
I'm not a whale, so buying at any price isn't a thing (holding to be exact).

I truly think that during the 1st quarter of 2019 will be the best time to buy - pretty much for the whole year for that matter - as is also now.
2836  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 18, 2018, 11:28:35 AM
All bottoms are behind now, in the rear-view mirror.

Don't think so mate, I think we left one behind Tongue

That said, 85% correction from ATH is definitely a buy order.

Just wondering if I'm missing something, or if there is probable cause for the decline to move towards the 90% area - or not.
2837  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 18, 2018, 10:13:09 AM
Hello fellow basket cases.
I've been following this thread for a while now, but this is my first post here.

So basically I'm looking for a bottom. I like bottoms, especially curvy ones Grin
2838  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum 40$ in 1-2 weeks on: December 18, 2018, 08:56:28 AM
Whales manipulate the market - because they can.
Most of us on the other hand, have to understand the market cycles & try to buy in the dip. Little luck is also needed.

I wouldn't be surprised if ETH falls to the $40-$50 range - there is still room  Wink

Time will prove everything.

Agreed, as time/history has already proven John McAfee to be a clown & a ZERO credibility individual.
2840  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you dreaming to launch your own coin? on: December 14, 2018, 09:28:59 AM
I am thinking about making a valuable coin for myself, but making a coin is not difficult. The difficulty is how to make this coin popular!

I strongly disagree on all aspects.
Making a shit coin, indeed is really easy.
But if you have an original idea, one that has use in real life, factor in the characteristics the coin should have, assemble a capable team (that's the hardest part), then it should "sell itself".
Of course marketing strategy is also very important, but nothing like as difficult as having an epiphany with an original idea & use in rl.  Wink
