Bob,

$200k a month in fiat is not bad. Who needs fiat. We have BTC

I use Kraken because although I'm also verified in Bitstamp, deposit limits are low.
Fuck Coinbase. Double fuck it.

Also for 2FA I use this:

Forum Suggestion (theymos I hope you are watching):

Merits should have a period to mature. Say 24 or 48 hours.
After that period they become spendable.

If before that period of maturity is over, the one who gave the merit reconsiders for any given reason (i.e. the merited says something like "I haven's seen The Big Lebowski"), then by pressing the un-merit button the given merit would be reversed back to the original owner.

Is this a blockchain forum or what? Cool

Ok, fuck it. I will tonight Smiley

Never seen this Lebowski movie either. Guess I better see what the fuss is about, maybe later.

Where the fuck is that un-merit button???  Cheesy

Can I be honest?

I love it but think the infinite emissions policy is broken.

And the dev team haven’t put themselves in a strong position by announcing there will be regular hard forks.

So soon enough someone will hard fork it with a 4 year halvening cycle.

Which begs the question - what happens to Grin with a contentious hard fork?

Well that's like asking back in 2014, what will happen to ETH with all these smart contracts?
Or what will happen to DASH with all these MN projects.
You get the picture, & I think you also agree because you just said that you love it Wink
Time will tell.

a possible NEW lebowski movie was on my mind, but I really hope they don't F*** it up cause matching the first one will not be easy

Funny how WO is where I first got this news. Maybe I can replace all other news, social media and the rest of the forum with this thread.

Sure, it's like "You heard it here first" sort of thing. It fucking is!

Sorry hijack

I have built an initial position with funds I am happily prepared to lose.  I have waiting for Grin for almost a year and wouldn’t forgive myself if this one got away.

That said I won’t be buying again above 0.0005 BTC and then only in small bites to dollar cost average down.

Saucy monkey, HairyMaclairy  Grin

Did I mention that mining Grin gives me a hard on like the one I experienced mining BTC in 2013. Only even better.

I have to hand it to the fuckers.
Never a fan of private builds, but I wish someone had said it out loud.

Minerbabe

As a Windows user, you don't need to know anything about Linux to install Minerbabe.
The reasons I initially discarded it was a) not open source, b) Linux based.
I thought I had to manually configure everything, and since my rigs where on Windows I hesitated and couldn't be bothered.
It's also partly Minerbabe's fault for not having a detailed guide.

Thought to give it a go, because rewards have plummeted on c29, and my hardware is for c31 anyways.
Disconnected my SSD & booted from USB drive, and...

BOOM

MY VEGA's64 ARE ALIVE, mining c31.

The 3% Dev fee is really worth it to mine c31.
I noticed it connects to f2pool for that.
Also:
https://www.grin-forum.org/t/analyzing-minerbabe-suspicious-ip-traffic/2282/5
I think the answer was adequate.

NVDIA (1080ti) rig will follow as soon as I find another USB drive.
It doesn't matter if Bminer has a higher graph rate on c29 - it does not support c31 yet (rewards doubled).

JPMorgan :

Bitcoin, which stood at around $3,565 in afternoon trade, is likely to have cost support at around $2,400, and could fall below $1,260 if a bear market persists, JPMorgan said.

Running multiple P104-100 rigs on HIVE OS:

Using bminer 13.1.0. All rigs show that they are "mining" - there is progress and it shows that it is receiving jobs and shares are "accepted".

But on Grinmint pool - every single one of the workers goes offline after about 1 hour (requiring a reboot in order to come back online), and graph rate decreases to 0:

Offline workers:

Decreased graph rate:

Any idea what's going on? Grinmint does not receive any shares when this happens, while bminer shows that it is still mining...

My guess is that you are using the TLS port. Try using the non encrypted one - port 3416.
Also check with another pool (sparkpool for example).

Hello! Help please.
trying set up wallet on Virtualbox. After wallet installing need to open 3415 port for deposit.
1.what ip set in router for 3415 port?  192.168...?
2.how check it work?
3.what address use for deposit? 10.15.20... :3415 from wallet  or real ip:3415 ?

1. Yes, open the port for your Virtualbox local network ip.
2. Port forward check tool: http://www.canyouseeme.org/
3. To make sure I would use your real WAN ip. That said, both should work if configured correctly.

4. Use the email withdraw option.

When a new coin is out better to wait at-least 3-4 weeks for correct price to show, it may even take longer.  Right now hype and other important indicators are playing with the price. Investing now can be risky especially those that bought in beginning at 250$ per grin coin.

I've read this a couple of times but I really don't believe it.
I was watching when the coin launched and as it came live on coingecko.

Bitforex was the leading exchange that day with Grin volume that didn't even exist at that time (fake API, volume).
If you checked the order book, you would see insane initial orders filled out with only a few Grin.
Nobody actually bought at that price imo Wink

From the little I have played around with core and memory settings I feel that:

- Core clock increases G/s a little (say +100, +200 is unstable).
- Memory clock does not, so not so memory sensitive imo.
- Decreasing power limit doesn't save too much energy for the G/s lost & neither does the CPU offload option.
Running at +100 core for NVDIA & stock for AMD (unstable and no real increase whatever you do).

Bob, play with the core clock instead of the memory clock & also check your inbox Tongue

Is there an ANN thread in bitcointalk.org or the official grin forum?

because I feel uneasy of trusting them without any user comments.

Could be a virus chest.

Well I haven't found one, but I think that GrinPro's team is related to Ace miner:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5097693.0

Both miners passed my security check, but that doesn't really say much.

^. Thank you for that!

I haven't been able to check that myself, cos I haven't found the time to update my Cuda yet.

Any update on c31? Is there any Windows support out, or we are still stuck with Linux only?
