Sorry to hear that. Grin is very new and highly volatile. Very risky business. # Can’t chart on the phone but price currently heading in one direction, below previous reversal point.
Definitely going down. Maybe it provides a good chance to buy before the Chinese new year.

Back to over $4,000 is always good.
Back to $20k is even better. Seriously, one gone, one to go. Depressing. Or not? Not, because I have you brothers. That, and I get to own more BTC Just buying the way down. Future? Unknown. Hopefully Lambo style.

Bottom line, I'm not advocating for any specific pool (though the concentration in the top two pools isn't great.) More just trying to point out all the moving pieces involved in earnings (and their variability.)
Neither am I. Just trying to figure this out as we move along. Attempting to, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5104296

I went to Mcdonalds once and ordered 200 cheeseburgers, I was piss drunk and drugged pretty badly. They asked for a confirmation for 3 times before they started the order. Then we had a burger eating contest with couple of my mates, with about 20 people cheering while we ate the burgers. I won with 27, others didn't get past 10, I guess I had smoked lots more weed than them on top of the stimulants. Other people ate a few and then we had a burger war, just threw them around the apartment, really smart move.
This other time I ordered 40 pizzas as a take-away, said I would pay cash (this was in 2011). I was called back 2 times to confirm the order and then was sent only 5 pizzas with the delivery, had to pay all the money for 40 pizzas in advance. But they came through and brought the pizzas. There was around 15 people, we ate maybe 3-4 pizzas and had a food war after that throwing pizzas at each other. I even licked off some cheese on some chicks face and body. This happened outside in the yard so cleaning was a bit easier later on.
Fun times.
Hey. I like you. We should hang around at the $100k party. Morning WO's!

I believe you. ~ 40 G/s on c29, ~ 4 G/s on c31. But why would that matter to me, if on the 16th-17th on grinmint I mined a little over 3 Grin for 24h with my hardware, and on the next day 17th-18th with the same miners, on sparkpool - gave me a little over 5 Grin. Both on c29. Currently mining c31 gives me a little less than 2 Grin per day on sparkpool. I haven't re-checked grinmint. Hesitating. I also realize that grinmint seems to be the official Grin team pool. Perhaps they should reconsider pool difficulty & different c31 port.

<...> i do think there will be great success with Grin, it will just take a bit of hard work on the developers parts. good luck.
Just to be clear. I'm not a developer, nor have any connection to Grin Dev team, or any team for that matter. I'm just an active miner. # GRIN...what a fucking stupid name for a shitcoin. I'm sure they will appreciate your feedback.. Not all alt coins are shit coins, but I feel ya. This one has potential imho, if the team can follow through.

I find it absurd how quickly so many people in crypto are willing to yell FRAUD!!! w/o even the least bit of effort to understand how things work.
How can not submitting shares = skimming? The shares AREN'T SUBMITTED.
It's the node server share min diff setting - grinmint set it to 4, meaning any shares you find w/ diff < 4 won't get submitted to the pool by a properly coded miner. This is perfectly reasonable even for a single (mid-high end) GPU on 29. Not so great for 31 - they should be running a separate node for 31 miners IMO.
Don't find it absurd dude, this is crypto we are talking about. LOL The explanation you provided seems reasonable. On the other hand, why would a miner care - is another question. A miner wants to submit as many shares as possible, regardless of difficulty level on the pool side. So, as far as grinmint goes, fine - it might not be skimming, but it's definitely rewarding less Grin per day compared to other pools.

The reason for creating this thread, is to keep everything in one single spot. All the info is out there, but it's all over the place, making it difficult to track. I will be updating/editing this page, as we go along from the c29 to the c31 algorithm, and until ASIC's are fully implemented during the next two years. Current block rewards are set to 90% for c29, and 10% for c31. Any corrections, additions or suggestions are very very welcome. Basic info- Announcement

OT: @mic, with sincere apologies, and in the spirit of genuine, friendly, playful humor, I saw this on Twitter, and absolutely LOL'd. https://i.imgur.com/XhR6IRh.jpg Can't help thinking what tweet you were on. #nails#sausages Funny you thought of Mic. Edit: I have to stop giggling.

I was being very sarcastic when I said it's aspiring. Bitforex did the same when Grin was listed.

Support found all the way to ~ 0.0015. We're going down. Thinking that it will not break 0.0010. If it does, it will be briefly, only to kick start a new rally. Cannot decide on before or after, the Chinese new year. Tending towards after.

The only news was that it was rapidly being added to a lot of exchanges (many of them small). Volume was growing as a result.
Coingecko: CMC for a change: Bgogo exchange. Truly aspiring

Sorry, where is the 'comparison'? On the links you provided, Grin is not even mentioned. You wouldn't be shilling for Beam on the Grin thread, would you?

FUD? What good is it going to do to you if you buy 'some', 'in a few years'? In that scenario, I would keep not bothering. Grin has potential. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't it the first PoW coin to be 'clear' on ASICs before its launch? The transition & 100% ASIC in two years I mean.

Thats how you smoke that new bull market hopium You seem to appear at the bottom(s) dude. Update: r0achie misses our little fun bang trio's. He is still a virgin. gembitz is learning English in order to break the communication barrier. Both are destined to meet sooner or later. Another BTC success story.
