I forgot the money shot...

"The Lone Wolf wholesale and retail Cigar Company was founded in 1996 by cigar lovers Chuck Norris and James Belushi."

Throwback:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McMartin_preschool_trial

"Some of the accusations were described as "bizarre", overlapping with accusations that mirrored the just-starting satanic ritual abuse panic. It was alleged that, in addition to having been sexually abused, they saw witches fly, traveled in a hot-air balloon, and were taken through underground tunnels. When shown a series of photographs by Danny Davis (the McMartins' lawyer), one child identified actor Chuck Norris as one of the abusers."

But that case (involving 100+ abused children) fell apart amidst an even newer panic: the "false memory" panic! After all these allegations of systemic abuse flooded the media, America concluded that all the therapists and social workers had actually implanted these abuse memories in the minds of said 100+ children.

Case dismissed. Silly social workers!

Years later the "false memory" theory was also debunked as bullshit, but by then everyone had forgotten about the hundreds of raped children. lol.

AND YOU PEOPLE THOUGHT THIS WOULDN'T INVOLVE CHUCK NORRIS AT SOME POINT??? Get real.

I wonder if Chuck Norris calls Richard Branson Sir. I'm just wondering.

Don't forget who I said has an office in one of SilkRoad office.

Wouldn't it be crazy if one of the businesses in Bitropolis' Santa Monica building was owned by a man named "David Weiss"?

o wait...jajajaja

http://www.yelp.com/biz/lone-wolf-cigar-company-santa-monica

(sorry to ruin the suspense...it's not FB David Weiss, but Lone Wolf does import cigars exclusively from the Dominican Republic, last official residence of...aw, yall know tha rest!)

http://offender.fdle.state.fl.us/offender/flyer.do?personId=40974

There you go, connecting all the crazy dots again.

Quote
David R. Weiss, president of The Lone Wolf Cigar Company, acquired the company in 2000, after managing the retail operations since 1996. Weiss's leadership led the company from a specialty niche position to nationally recognized brand and retailer of all brands both in brick and mortar locations and via catalog and internet in Lone Wolf’s sister and mail order company DWCigars.com. Weiss's interest in the company was as much about his respect for The Lone Wolf lines of cigars as it was about the vision he shared with Norris and Belushi of a company promoting camaraderie, community and culture. Weiss said, “Everyone is a Lone Wolf in their own way and we celebrate that by bringing Lone Wolfs together, all across the country and globe, to enjoy the finer things in life."

(re-post from another thread)

His final conclusion is probably wrong.
The BTC economy is growing very fast in many parts of the world. Therefore, it is possible to have huge price gains again, and this time they will be "real".

at what level is it "real"? most of the last bull run was inspired by speculation... at what level is speculation healthy, and and what level is utility healthy? doesn't seem like there's enough infrastructure to push bitcoin up right now.. it's still speculation i think.

http://coinmap.org shows what is "real". The Bitcoin ecosystem and infrastructure is booming throughout much of the world.
This isn't 2012 anymore...Welcome to the Brave New World.  Smiley

Nice map! Just in time for Sturgis, August 4-10, 2014... Oh, wait...

You know what else isn't on that map? Jeff Ownby's (of BFL) business, thebarnpresents.com, nor is Bitcoin even mentioned on its website, located just a few miles east of where I live, off the same highway, 34/Ogden Rd. What to see the other domains that Jeff owns?

Now, tell me we aren't being fucked when I can show you 100's of business that these fuckers operate, yet don't even mention Bitcoin on their own websites that they've own for years, many prior to the advent of Bitcoin.

Phinn, you're losing it.

No, I've already lost it, my 1,132 BTC, that is, via InstaWallet's "hack" of which davout won't release the name - just the motherfuckin' name - of the outfit that he claimed conducted the audit directly after the "hack". Boussac, at the time, claimed that there was more than one audit team involved.

Lemon Way, maker of ONLY ONE fuckin' app, acts as Bitcoin-Central's bank, even though three days prior to the InstaWallet hack, its CEO was asking how to get some bitcoins via his Twitter account.

They fucked with the wrong person, and I gave them every motherfuckin' opportunity to return my bitcoins, but now on ignore, just like Boussac did at the very onset of starting the InstaWallet refund thread.

Ignore me now, you motherfuckers! I've only begun!

Looks like he locked down his pics as well. Only two left (cigar-chomp and the DIA seal), and we can't see who liked them Sad

Remember the good ol' days, when his profile showed him liking this group?

Hey, maybe David Weiss is the dude that has his loving arm around Brock Pierce.

I don't understand this.

is it weird?

Is the fact that one of the named investors/partners in Sunlot is none other than Louis J. Freeh?

http://freehgroup.com/
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Louis_Freeh

Clinton appointee Freeh has been a busy buy since his ignominious retirement shortly after 9/11. Most recently, he was the trustee in a massive shareholder lawsuit against MF Global, another superstar financial behemoth that poofed into insolvency overnight, taking millions in customer funds with it.

So for those who are wondering just WHO within Sunlot will be doing the heavy lifting of scanning the digital Mt. Gox records to hunt down all those lost coins...just flip to page 17 of 33 in this helpful document:
http://www.scribd.com/doc/219613733/sunlot-holdings-proposed-rehabilitation-plan-ENGLISH#fullscreen

So the former head of the FBI and his private security consulting firm will be spearheading "cooperation with forensic (digital) investigations and enforcement, and compliance".

Well, that's a relief!

Of course, Freehbird and his Sunlot buddies would never THINK of sharing any of that "digital forensic evidence" with all their Clinton appointee buddies who currently staff the senior ranks of the Obama Justice Department...

** If I didn't Ja Ja Ja I'd have to cry **

And, don't forget Amy Weiss.

http://www.coindesk.com/dc-veterans-jim-harper-amy-wiess-join-bitcoin-foundation/

Quote
The Bitcoin Foundation has added two new high-profile members and experienced political operators to its team: Jim Harper and Amy Weiss.

Harper has been director of information policy studies for the libertarian Cato Institute for almost a decade, while Weiss is a former White House Deputy Press Secretary. She currently runs strategic communications firm Weiss Public Affairs.

This is run by the same guy making up Sunlot. Sunlot sure the hell is going to look out for Mt Gox's former clients, when they are proven time and time and time again to NOT give a shit about their employees. Same true with everything that Brock Pierce has touched (perhaps, a double ententre) in the past.

Bottom line, we fellow bitcoiners are getting fucked up the ass big-time. Sadly, this ain't the worst of it, in case you're asking if there's anything worst, the answer is YES!

I was implying that Mark Karpeles was sending us a message via the Batman logo as to who's behind Sunlot, i.e. SilkRoad, with an office at 550 Manhattan St, San Francisco, where they filmed that bank scene between Batkid and the Riddler for the Make-A-Wish event.

I'm curious as to where the actors where sourced to play the various fictitious roles.

Note the address of their Boston, MA, headquarters, albeit that'll be too much of a stretch.

Further note their Redbank, NJ, address, home of a Forex outfit they control, again, probably too much of a stretch, for no way could such pertain to Bitcoin in their past, present or future plans.

BTW, Red Bank, NJ, is two words, not one. Perhaps the website developer had a little bit too much to smoke the day he penned it. Perhaps, further, those who work for the outfit and have visited said site a myriad times were, too, too smoked-up to notice.

How much damage can PG do to Bitcoin because of his allegations, and that's all they are.  Is everyone willing to lose value in Bitcoin over this?  He needs to shut up and instead devote his attention to something that will increase the price

You're new around, so you don't know my history of how I have championed Bitcoin on my own dime (satoshi) for the past going on three years.

Now, you're suggesting that I shut the fuck up while my 1,132 BTC stolen from me via Paymium's davout increases in value in ONE of David (staff on this forum) fat-ass bitcoin wallets, hence devoting my time to regaining control of the BTC that davout stole from me, segue speaking.

That said, go fuck yourself!

Not my problem dude.  What is my problem is people shitting on my investment.  Back at you.  Go fuck yourself whoever you are and however long you've been here.

Hey, fuckface Dude, I'm invested also, and I'm tying to save yours and mine investment. Now, if you have a motherfuckin' problem with me, let's meetup, whereupon I'd gladly kick you pussy-ass ass.

Proof:

Also, let me leave you with a tidbit. Instead of measuring the distances between the peaks... measure the distance between the peak and when the market finishes it's reversal and starts heading up again (e.g like this past month when we switched from bear to bull market) and tell me what you find. I think it's even more alarmingly consistent across the price since day 1.

I think we will be following the wave pattern, but it will be in ever slowing amounts as they get shallower and longer between peak and tough. This is consistent with the idea that markets slow down and stabilize as they grow larger and liquidity increases.

In the end, to be honest, it might have actually been the best thing that could have happened because at the expense of half a billion (in current value) of peoples money we might never have breached $32 again, or it might have taken years longer.

2) I think Willie accelerated and pushed the envelope higher than it otherwise should have been, but remember, the other exchanges did naturally achieve these prices on their own. Bitstamp and BTCe were both over $1000 and China actually outpaced Mt.Gox during the November bubble. Think of it like them starting a fire, they provided the kickstarter and everyone else brought the jet fuel.

I don't care about you passing on my message and ideas in your own words and I'm fine with you quoting me and linking, or even mentioning my name as a source ("as lowstrife said"), but do not take my words and pass them off as your own like you just did. And don't make 4 different posts about it like an idiot either, couldn't you at least keep your plagiarism to one post?

That is all.

Dude, don't be so hypercritical of the quasi-newbie, for it's not like he's done this before.

I have just posted this comment to the Willy report page on Wordpress:

Another possible explanation for Markus/Willy is that it was doing arbitrage with China. Namely, buying cheap coins at MtGOX and sending them to a partner in China, who sold them there (presumably at BTC-China) for a higher price.

Indeed, the report argues that Markus must have been the cause of the August rally because the price at MtGOX jumped up whenever Markus bought, and remained flat between his buys. But the price at BTC-China increased steadily through August. This suggestst that BTC-China was leading, and MtGOX was following, by discrete jumps, through Markus’s arbitrage.

I have not looked carefully at Sep-Nov, but it seems that in that interval, too, the leader was China (ultimately including Huobi and OKCoin, besides BTC-China), and Markus/Willy were following.

All that one-sided arbitrage would have required an awful amount (hundreds of millions?) of USD in the arbitrager’s MtGOX account. Since Markus/Willy paid no fees, it may have been an insider, and it may have paid with non-existent money, as the report argues. In that case, perhaps Markus/Willy expected to get the money later from the Chinese partner; but the latter defaulted, or could not transfer the money due to the PBoC restrictions.

PS. My chief argument for the 2013 bubbles being real, due to the huge increase in demand after the opening of the Chinese markets, is that after Nov/29 the price has reacted almost exclusively to events in China, ignoring events outside China. I don’t see how to explain that, if the rise from ~120$ to ~1200$ was due to forced buying by Markus/Willy alone.

If the theory above is correct, it would be interesting to know who the Chinese partner could be.  Of course, it could be the same person that owned Markus/Willy, but could be someone else -- a Chinese national, or a non-Chinese with a presence in China.

The "huge amount" is given in the report, about 110 million USD.

How, prey tell, did you finger BTC-China sans mentioning its CEO, Bobby Lee? Now, I have to go into Google-fu mode to see what Bobby Lee has been up to lately unless, of course, somebody wiser than I beats me to the punch(line).  Wink

You know what would be so motherfuckin' funny? If this has all been a misunderstanding, and none of the rouge Bitcoin-base entities are in cahoots with one another.  Roll Eyes

i don't think it has surprised anyone that the market was manipulated, especially considering the small market cap. you wouldn't even need that much $$$ to make big splashes, and someone is always willing to cross that line to make money.

i think murphy's law is very applicable to bitcoin's adoption. seems to me that bitcoin is both a good and bad thing.. and it just is what it is.

Let's see how we can make something so beautiful, then fuck it up, akin to sex being a beautiful things, but let's see if can fuck children in their asses to achieve the same jollies.

this is an issue that goes beyond bitcoin.. it has more to do with how every fucking thing in this world works. try to manipulate and squeeze every penny out, nevermind the aftermath of the destruction. the older i get, the more pessimistic and cynical i become.

Thanks, bud, for the other day I learnt I'm about to become a great-grandfather at 54.

I don't think I need to explain here how the US Dollar and the Euro also have similar biases.

Akin to the Amish having a cottage industry set up based on their ideals to help feed their families, until a light bulb went off in some investor's head, and suggested, "Nice little brand you have going on here..."

Then it was neatly packaged to other investors, to now we have Amish-crafted products produced in China, et al.
