121  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi probably started a new coin. on: July 04, 2015, 05:10:58 AM
I'm pretty convince he has.

BurstCoin.

I'm not kidding. This coin has some features that the colored coins will offer, but it still very close to PoW mining. However, PoW and BTC has the problem of power. How much are our natural research are ethical motivated to allocation to mining?

BURST solved that in an amazing way. It stores "plots", created by your GPUs or CPU but only once. When mining those plots are read to see if you a have a solution and my create the next block.

The electricity cost of an HDD is not even comparable to a constantly running ASICs or GPU, an even less so if you are using the computer stays on most of the day.

On the theoretical level, the research done and implemented is stunning. The problem for Burst is funding. They didn't do any crowdfunding or IPO/ICO and all devs and PR efforts have to be paid by donations. But that is not working out. There last major innovation was a true cross-chain transaction, but even if it works perfectly not even a proper PR was writing or circulating.

Very old school. And the way I think Satoshi would do it.

So let Satoshi revolution the world a second-time: help Burst get some VC funding.

And, as I said, I'm not kidding.

What would be a 2 TB external hdd profit ? How long can i make ROI.
The project seems to be interesting

newbies ....

Hi

I'm getting ~5300 Burst per month per TB in V2 pool with the current difficulty.

2 TB ~127000 Burst in 12 months ~ 0.08395 Btc today ~ 20 € in 12 months.

ROI much greater than 12 months  Sad

Price might become higher Smiley But sure, new equitement have long ROI. Why not check out eBay or their equivalent?

No matter what they're going to attack me. It is what it is, I'm done replying to them. They're below me.

A wise decision! But the ending, was it really necessary? You as everyone else are able to learn from mistakes and valid criticism. Everyone is not evil.
124  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 02, 2015, 07:05:47 PM

And one more thing about the stolen money. Can someone present some figures? How big was the transfer? I'm pretty sure the community can help you out, if not that guy sitting on mmmaybe's funds.

I can help a bit on that. Most of that is publicly available on the blockchain, but not the entire story. These were the donation addys

http://burstcoin.eu/address/3705386393180364352 roughly 1.6 mil BURST
https://blockchain.info/en/address/17SrpSXT6Zv1DvtyoSaSM1mzGhCMX7szRg roughly .3 BTC

Of the grand total seen there mmmaybe himself donated roughly 800k BURST and .1 BTC
He did however receive BTC donations to other addys he owned. The amounts themselves are less important than the timing.
We effectively lost mmmaybe and the funds just at the time of the ACCT, and we needed at least 500$ to pull the PR off in a good way. I was not around to help much and we did not manage to coordinate with Qora or CIYAM as well as we should have.

I can say that not all is lost and BURST is not circling the drain, I will continue to help wherever I can. At the moment I am working on several promotional activities, but cannot say when or whether they will bear the fruit we all desire.

Long story short, soldier on and try to help. Let us leave all this petty squabbling behind Smiley

Thanks! The thief apparently donated haft of the community capital, but that doesn't matter. Can someone set up a CF for 1.6 mil and a donation address for BTC?

500 dollars for a single press release...? Google, 5 seconds: You can get them for 50 bucks. There is even an offer of unlimited PRs during a whole year for $299 from PRBuzz. Seems like Bit-x uses them. Personally I would have contacted http://bitcoinprbuzz.com .

But to do that something have to be written...  Wink
125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 02, 2015, 06:26:29 PM
It is not too late to get the coin up with a good PR.

Karl started already good, but nobody (including me) did not re-tweet his effort. However, I found that he re-tweeted my BURST tweets. Of course he cannot have much success with about 200 followers. I got 17,000.

Same is true with the Facebook accounts. I got more Likes and Join in Facebook pages/groups then he could.

Lets star fresh:

1. find out what is important of BURST
2. what are the features of BURST, not seen at other coins.
3. make of above a priority list.

4. use all members to promote ONE and only ONE of the created list per 72 hours and then go to the next point.
Important is that only ONE message will be used. Important is that this information is used with different words on all sites. The idea of that is, that Google catch it as a trend word!
5. use all media we can have hand on: blogs, twitter, Facebook and all other social media.
6. use goo.gl URL shortener, since then Google index that page automagically for FREE.
7. lets make some banners. I can add these in my banner service.
8. lets make a reward system for displaying the banners in BURSTs (would be needed to coded)
Many people have been screwed by Google and did not get paid by Google; These are people who would like to come back and work for BURSTs, since here we could make a weekly payout. One guy on Facebook showed that very effectively: He offered to pay xx mBTC for somebody who reposted his advertisement and fulfill the requirement that the re-poster must have more than 100 Facebook fan and proof it, either by a screenshot, or by being a friend where he would get automatically the info. This guy paid about 100 US$ for his T-shirt campaign and made 10,000 US$ profit.

Combine all above and we got a new start.

My friend used to say: Look up to the bright side, because if you always look down, the only thing you can find is dog shit.

crowetic, I'm sorry that you seem to hate Elmit, but this post should not he been the author of - it should have come from you. Do you really don't see that you aren't constructive at all?

And one more thing about the stolen money. Can someone present some figures? How big was the transfer? I'm pretty sure the community can help you out, if not that guy sitting on mmmaybe's funds.

By the way, thank you for your efforts, Elmit!
126  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 02, 2015, 06:10:16 PM
I don't think anyone was more disappointed than the CIYAM Developers when we completed ACCT and then saw it get *zero media coverage*.

We had never expected profits but just wanted to see our tech "work" across two blockchains to help create "a truly decentralised exchange" mechanism and had hoped that at least the achievement would have been "picked up" by the media (as it was a "world's first").

Hopefully the Burst community can "re-group" and move forward (rather than attacking each other over the past). The CIYAM Developers have not "abandoned" this project despite our own disappointments - so please focus on the next steps rather than on who is to blame about the failure of the last ones.

(and yes - "don't trade with me as apparently I am a scammer")

We were all disappointed by this, but at the time it happened there was hardly any coordination in the team, and a lot going on as far as theft and nonsense. It didn't get NEAR the coverage it should have.

We had been saving to get a paid PR campaign going, but that money was stolen.

Thank you for your continued hard work for FREE, and I know you're no scammer. We will do our best from this point on to promote things in the manner they should be.

Every coin has their random issues, and BURST isn't immune to that. I do believe we'll get through this and things will get better soon.

We are all disappointed, but you - crowetic - can present all kinds of excuses. Stolen money? Sure! How much was stolen...? Uncoordinated? Surely seems so, but why not just talk to vbcs about postponing the launch a little bit...?

You never even wrote a press release! There is still not one to download on the website after all these weeks. Not even a link to that terrible google doc the qora guys put together. How hard is it to write a PR like those you have written before..? How hard is it to send that document to every crypto-site you could find...? I'd say it take 12 man hours max, including proof-reading and check of the technical stuff.

How the hell are those two simple things - writing and spreading the text - possibly not done by now if you are dealing with promoting BURST? Instead of providing us - the investors, miners and researchers as CIYAM - with that, you are learning to code...? Does that make sense?

I think you seriously should consider where your competences are mostly needed and reflect upon the picture people get of you as leader of the PR Team by reading posts like the ones on this page. I do respect all that you have done for Burst, but at the moment you are a problem for Burst, fighting almost everyone who writes anything.

But I know you wont do that. I am one of the enemies of yours - despite that we want the same thing for Burst. So I guess you are going write some bad stuff to me as a response and to continue with what you are doing (e.g. make things worse). However, one little thing, leave the capital letter out of your posts. They make you seem insane.

127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 02, 2015, 05:42:45 PM
Hello crowetic,

Please do not bring me into this. All I got was a message with a content I, at that point, judged relevant to a heated discussion going on here for weeks.

I perhaps will make another assessment in a few weeks and come to different conclusion as I admit to have acted in haste, but today I still see it as relevant to publish as it actually give other possible explanation than have previously been posted. I think that is especially important when things I formally did not know or believe is pointed out. Generally I hold that as a vital principle when dealing with people. The human history is fully of misjudgments and errors corrected with time and reason.

Due to the unstable situation this has caused, I have put my work with my Twitter on hold but hoping to resume soon.

Warm regards,
Karl

Maybe you shouldn't post shit that's outwardly bashing people without proof, if you don't want to be involved.

But it's obvious you're just another shill of this whole psychotic ball of nonsense.

THIS THREAD IS NOT ABOUT PSYCHOTIC NONSENSE. THIS THREAD IS ABOUT BURST, LET US KEEP IT THAT WAY.

NONE OF THIS IS A PR STUNT EXCEPT MAYBE BY A SINGLE PERSON WITH 4-5 PERSONALITIES. WE KNOW THIS FORUM IS FULL OF THESE KIND OF SOCIOPATHS.

PLEASE EVERYONE, QUIT WITH THE BULLSHIT HERE IN THIS THREAD, IT IS NOT A THREAD FOR BULLSHIT, THIS IS A BURST THREAD ONLY.

seriously. enough is enough, if you want to get into this with me, MAKE ANOTHER FUCKING THREAD. Like I said before.

I don't think this drama is anything good for BURST, and that's what I'm after.

Also, in all honesty everyone here knows who I am, and that I've never done anything except what I say I will, and I've never once lied to the community, stolen, or done anything underhanded. If you feel like you would rather trust an obvious thieving psychopath, go ahead, but I'm really over the bullshit internet drama. If this is how you want to live your life, leave me the fuck out of it, because I'm not that guy. Just let this thread be what it is intended to. Silence the bullshit. Thanks.

Now you are making a fool of yourself. Karl has worked hard with promoting Burst with his Twitter. We have all seen it. In all his post, it is certain he is a supporter and wants the best for Burst. Then he gets this from the most known Burst associate.

You are currently doing a very bad job PR-wise. If you wouldn't burst into the thread like this, things would calm down. You are just escalatating things at the moment. For Burst sake, take a day or two off and get some perspective.

IronTiga I am always glad to hear from you. So, what you are basically saying is, that you confirm that I paid out the dividends, after I figured out that the crap of script you gave me does not work and I wrote my own program. THANKS!
You further confirmed now, that you DO KNOW that there was a second dividend payment to you, but you do not bother to pay it back, because BURST has anyway no value. Or do I mis-interprete you?

Irony and sarcasm, am I correct? Impressive! Smiley

129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 02, 2015, 10:02:07 AM
Elmit, I have not been here from the beginning, I don't know all the in and outs of Burst, but now I'm beginning to think that almost every single post of yours have an ironic or sarcastic underline that I have not noticed until now. With this possibility, I actually starting to enjoy reading your writing Smiley

Good job!

How come you aren't in the PR Team?

I lost at poker but earned some mBTC. Perhaps I should play poker with bitcoin instead?  Smiley
132  Other / Meta / Re: Is the proper abbreviation for the forum 'BTT' or 'BCT'? on: July 02, 2015, 03:46:55 AM

This creates another question: As I recall it, the forum were on different places before it found its home at bitcointalk.org, one of these places being "bitcoin.org".

A) Is this correct?
B) If yes, why on the friggin' earth was "talk" added to the URL and not "forum"? We do not "talk" here, we write on a forum.

Conspirationist are welcome to comment.

A. Nope. The old forum was at http://bitcoin.sourceforge.net/boards/index.php (reference: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.msg28#msg28, a post by satoshi) (though it can't be reached now)
B. This is maybe the action of writing on a forum is equivalent to talk in Japanese (satoshi claimed to be a Japanese, so he may mixup the meaning of talk and writing on the forum). Or maybe the domain 'bitcointalk.org' is 1 letter shorter than 'bitcoinforum. org' Smiley

Ok, my recall was that it was sourceforge > bitcoin.org > bitcointalk.org. But no...?

Also about the question of "talk", "board" or "forum", the second link in your post reads "Topic: Welcome to the new Bitcoin forum!"

He was aware of that he created a forum but called it something else. At the time, were any other forums called "talk" instead of forum or board?

Perhaps not the biggest mysteries in the history of Bitcoin or Satoshi, but still...  Grin

"Forum", not "talk".
133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BURST] Burst | Efficient HDD Mining | New 1.2.3 Fork block 92000 on: July 02, 2015, 03:07:18 AM

I could easily refute all of this with emails that had been sent to me offering donations, without any prompting from me. This guy is clearly all the same person with  shill accounts and I'm frankly not into the games/bullshit.

mmmaybe came at me with this offer before I knew anything of anything.

honestly I didn't even bother to read the rest of this post, because it is clearly bullshit.

however, I guess if people would like, I can post screenshots of the emails that were sent to me to put this to rest once and for all, but clearly that won't make a difference, if people are out for drama and nonsense, they're going to get it no matter what... SO... all I can really say is... uh...no.

This is all complete nonsense that I can easily prove false, but is this what we want to turn this thread into? no.

This thread is about BURST, not about some psycho's idea of a fun time.

another however, if you, Karl/mmmaybe/thomas/TheBurstTruth/etc etc... would like to make another thread and actually accuse me of something that I've done wrong, go for it, and in that thread I will post proof pics of the opposite of literally everything you said (that I actually read...)

The thing is... I'm not here to play games with sociopaths. I'm here to make a company, and better the coin I like.

Keep this nonsense out of the BURST thread, make another thread, come here, post a link to it, and I will gladly make you look even more stupid. okay?

How about you calm down a bit? You are easily the man most associated with Burst, and I don't think your posts benefits the coin in any way right now. Ok...?

When it comes to PACMICz, I consider it a loan to BitMain/Hashnest, which I quickly get back with a decent interest rate. With the paid back load + interest I can re-invest it anyway I want. At the end, we as customers get the option to invest in S6s.

Win-win.
135  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Hashnest 's newest PACMiC Cloud Mining Contract on: July 02, 2015, 02:07:43 AM
I also very positive to these contracts of several reasons. We know they are backed by a real mining company. We do a little profit, while nothing extraordinary that would indicate that the company is desperate, they only want to lend money from us to expand. After the contract ended (when we have got our money back + a decent interest) they will of course sell these as regular S5, making more money, expanding even more and have funding to put out their S6s.
136  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: cloudminr.io is a nest of thiefs beware on: July 02, 2015, 02:02:37 AM
Look in the Auction or Digital goods sections here at the forum. Their customers even tend to discover that they will go bust. I expect an inflation of adds.
137  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: do people make a lot of money farming signature campaigns? on: July 02, 2015, 01:59:10 AM
I did over 100 bucks last week with my accounts (no hero, just seniors).

In real life I have a job that really doesn't exist. Well, it does exist in certain terms: I'm employed and get a monthly wage. However, I have no duties at my work that is monitored (well, just one: show up in the coffee room once a day).

Hence I have time writing here. I am happy for the extra dollars.
138  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any genuine cloud mining company on: July 02, 2015, 01:53:26 AM
It is so ironic.

We have, like, 50 cloud mining sites out there who scams, and doing it pretty obviously with lousy service.

We have less then 5 totally legit cloud mining sites, which works excellent and that actually lets you make money.

The majority of people goes for the scam sites.
139  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] NiceHash.com - sell & buy hash rate cloud mining service / multipool on: July 02, 2015, 01:47:45 AM
Either it is something severely wrong with me or your site. I signed up, read all the documentation on how to use the site but still couldn't get it to work.

It might very well be me, but do you have customers signing up, perhaps even depositing BTC, but never starting using your service...?
140  Other / Politics & Society / Re: NSA, CIA, IRS, DHS, ATF, FBI, GCHQ, Federal Reserve, ISIS are the illuminati on: July 02, 2015, 01:44:29 AM
Two points.

You forget FRA, the Swedish National Defence Radio Establishment. Since the Second World War they have pretty much tapped all information from Russia going to Europe, sending it to the US organization.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Defence_Radio_Establishment

The unofficial head of FRA is former primeminister of Sweden Carl Bildt. Due to his influence in FRA, he is the man ruling the world. And we should be happy for that.
