I love the premise of the coin. Lots of potential! Way too many coins released without the developer giving constant updates and having interaction with the community.
Maybe most of these guys don't have a marketing background, but at the very least you should visit your own thread to re-store consumer confidence.
If you want to succeed with this coin you will need to be more active, or this coin will fall by the wayside.

Very frustrating. I bought in a month ago, and the price has dropped steadily. Purchased as a long-term investment, but the opportunity cost of not investing in other coins during this time and then buying at this lower price is annoying.
Need a huge marketing push. This thread needs more involvement from the community, and ideas need to be generated.
Marketing is half the battle.
Saying fu** to anyone selling, rather than trying to address people's concerns is a mistake. There are lots of other coins to invest in right now. Imagine if your local store said that to you.

A Tipping app for YouTube, blogs, and other social media could be huge. Any developers out there? We need to starting implementing practical applications to gain traction.
We are positioned to be one of the top 5 or 10 coins with the proper marketing and integration imo.

Was the article for cryptocoinnews ever submitted?

As I mentioned earlier in the thread - we need a TIPBOT for Youtube(or even Facebook/Twitter/Reddit) like DOGE.
Agreed! This would totally push tips. Where are the skilled programmers willing to do this? There are a lot of unsigned musicians on YouTube that have large, loyal subscriber lists. A YouTube tipping app would allow their fanbases to make lots of small donations in support.

Yeah I posted about that a few pages ago also. Most people were strongly in favor of such an app. Any app creators out there? We have the perfect name for such an undertaking, and if this was readily adopted it would have a huge impact on the future of this coin.

What impact would Darkcoin implementing Darksend have on the price/future of TiPS?
People know that darkcoin is going to be anonymous yet no one buys it. It won't effect tips at all, because tips brand is based on tipping not being anonymous. Two different markets! Looking at the volume of darkcoin, anonymity is not that popular as a selling point. Unless you have something to hide. If my coins were stolen id actually want to find out where they went, so as an investor the whole anonymity puts me off. I got into tips for its name and potential to tip content creators online. I mostly agree. I would be interested to hear other peoples opinions. TiPS is building a great brand, but I do think the anonymous feature is a big selling point to a large portion of the crypto community, and we shouldn't focus solely on tipping.

Very little action in this thread. Anyone have an update on the coins progress in implementing zerocoin protocol. Also, is there a marketing strategy? Haven't heard much buzz about this coin at all.

A matter of time before this coin goes through the roof!

I've been having the same issue with the wallet. I installed the latest version, and its been stuck on block 51,009 .
That's weird. Being stuck around block 51000 looks like you've got the 0.53 wallet (with the old diff algo). My 0.60 is normally synced... I have that too with the newest wallet 0.60 I'm still normally synced here with the Windows wallet. Did you setup with the standalone posted by Invisibel on the website or is there any chance that you failed compiling properly the software ? I was running the old wallet before uninstalling and updating to wallet.60. I even had a buddy of mine that is a tech wizard look and says the new client is running. For some reason its running 24 hours behind and is stuck on block 51,009. When the price surged I was going to sell and then rebuy at these low prices. The wallet hasnt been working, so that dismantled that plan Have you tried deleting everything in the appdata folder except wallet.dat so it redownloads the blockchain? Go in to C:/Users/*username*/AppData/Fedoracoin/ Delete everything in that folder EXCEPT wallet.dat, never delete wallet.dat. Run fedoracoin qt It will redownload the blockchain, it sounds like your new client is still trying to connect to old blockchain. AppData is a hidden folder btw. I backed up the wallet, deleted the old version and the corresponding files, then downloaded .60 wallet. My buddy took a look, and said that the new version was running correctly, so I'm not sure what the problem is. I managed to update another wallet today without issue. I managed to transfer all my TiPS today, even though the wallet isnt functioning properly. I would obviously prefer to store them in my wallet though. Ill try your suggestion. I have already uninstalled the new wallet multiple times.

HUC is getting a price bump from hitting new exchanges. The price will inflate, and then come back down in the next 24 hours. Thats the time to buy back in.

By the way, I'm offering a 5 million TiPS bounty to whoever can design the best thread starter OP (see https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=391192) since IMO we need to make it look a bit more professional. Just post it up as a regular reply here. Bounty ends when I get back (monday/tuesday), whoever gets the most votes from people here wins! If you have any suggestion, link, dice game, fedoracoin community link, block explorer, fondation... please replay to me with link of all info you have! Thank you. EDIT 1: I put my logo for test thats all! EDIT 2: UPDATE - What do you think about this? Any suggestion? Looks awesome!

All the activity yesterday was someone transferring tips out of cryptsy over to BTER to fill market orders. It wasn't some huge aquatic mammal
Can't help but think of the Seinfeld episode.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0u8KUgUqprw

We need to "pound the pavement" and get the word out about TiPS while its hot.
I do think when invisibel returns and offers feedback that investor confidence will increase. That will be key to stabilizing this coin.

Yesterday was very encouraging. Huge pump last night, but still settled in around 80 latoshi. Hopefully more good news coming with a btc pairing, and the return of invisibel. Held onto all my TiPS so far, which was tough when it shot to 124.

Some joker is trying to manipulate the price by sitting atop the buy wall with 7btc. No way I'm buying above 8 at this point.
