241  Economy / Speculation / Re: BETI: Bitcoin Exponential Trend Index and technical analysis on: December 29, 2019, 10:10:28 PM
So it looks like we are at BETI -2.35 with an expected BETI 0 price of $76K

IIRC -2.3 was the previous lowest BETI score.

Probably not very useful anymore as it doesn't look like realtime price will ever cross with BETI 0 ever again but... just saying.

Losing hope, are we? Smiley

Where will BETI 0 be in Q4 2021? If there is some sort of "4-year cycle" at play, isn't that a reasonable time period to look at? I know most people around here have trouble fathoming > $100K, but from a regression analysis point of view, we should be aiming higher anyway.

BETI is a dead indicator that never should have been born. Sorry...

^^^Hey look! A Jr. Member come to educate us! How exciting.

What indicator would you need to have that indicates someone is educated to a degree worthy of you?  If bill gates signed up tomorrow would he not start out the same.  Just saying that is no indicator of knowledge.  Hell we watched as users game the system with bs content just to get above that.  It’s sad this day and age and knowledge that we continue to judge books by their cover.

BR
Doug

He just came here to say its bs without a single argument.

Reply seems fine to me lol
242  Other / Politics & Society / Re: If capitalism is so great why are angolos so broke, and have low birth rates? on: December 29, 2019, 10:06:12 PM
People traditionally have lots of children in poor countries because children help work the fields, the house etc.
When countries increase their prosperity the first generation that has the ease of living experiences a baby boom and the next generation has less than 2 children per household because children are no longer helpful but a liability in financial terms.

We can see this happening in China today.
They had the 1 child policy which didn't work all that well but sort of did.
Today, the Chinese have less children than they did during the 1 child policy (first generation of the increased prosperity). They want to increase their birthrate but it's not working because the natality naturally declined with the increased prosperity.

Rich countries have fewer children.

Their ratio of male to female got totaly skewed by the 1 child policy (females were usually killed in favour of a male child).

Thus a whole generation of chinese males wont be able to find a wife and get kids.

Industrialisation plays a big part too and it can be seen in every single industry nation with exception of the usa (though this is because of the big numbers of immigrants from poor nations who still get a lot of kids before being fully integrated).

So why not? Still, it's work, and my time is limited atm, so maybe i'll miss some % of the free coins.

Yep for sure - claim it for free and be smart but if you pay for it then you are 100% low iq pleb Tongue

This is a counter measure against frauds.

252  Local / Altcoins (Deutsch) / Re: Frankfurter Fintech Startup Savedroid startet ICO on: October 13, 2019, 10:28:07 PM

Made in germany hat halt gut geblendet ;(
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 26, 2019, 08:25:59 PM
Anyone has any wild guess at which price the real support might be at?

7200-7450 is major support zone (vwap, fib, cme gap, htf support).

If this breaks we are officially rekt.

Edit:

Btw. Personally I believe 7k's is the bottom and thus long now.

On htf we can also see a hidden bullish divergence forming.
254  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 25, 2019, 09:56:43 PM

All you folks got far too little patience expecting new highs around the corner. That spike that happened in December 2017 - chances like that don't come around like buses. That is gone for a long long time.

This chart here has about the right timeframe. Although the peak of each high is exponentially higher, the time between such surges gets longer and longer.

We're looking at 2021-2022 to recapture 20-20k again and 2023-4 for new highs.

There is another possibility though.

If we follow a s-curve adoption rate then we should get a big boost somewhere in the middle which then will get slower again... Smiley
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 25, 2019, 01:11:41 PM
Come on Bitcoin!
If you have to crash then aim for $3k LOL
I am sure a lot of us are looking to use this opportunity to have some more Bitcoin :-D

Guys JUST HODL! We have been through this hundreds plus times if not thousands.

Cheers,

The thing is if we crash to 3k majority of you guys will NOT buy and scream for 1k.

200 daily ema is broken, 200 daily sma is still trying to hold.

We have the .618 fib from the 3-13,9k move and a cme gap around 7.2k.

Im definitely looking at this now because bounce was quite weak and already lost momentum.
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 24, 2019, 11:56:31 PM
Pretty risky to look at the 5 min chart Tongue

HTF is bearish, with downside possible to lower 7k which would also fill another cme gap.

We broke pretty easy through the 200 dma which is around 8700 - pretty fucked if this becomes resistance now.
257  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "Drone Attack That Crippled Largest Saudi Oil Processing Facility" on: September 19, 2019, 05:26:23 AM
Made a nice profit on oil stocks.

Ready for the next news/crisis I can profit from

Well the Saudis have said that they're going to be able to return to normal output rather quickly, so I'm expecting Crude to go down on the news rather quickly. As people were freaking out that we were going to lose 50 percent of the largest oil producer.

I think this was Iran, I don't think anyone else have the machinery to do something like this.

It was a drone attack so basically it could have been everyone.

Besides the geo-political implications, this time we also have huge economical interest because saudia arabia is the 2nd largest oil producer with 15% of global output.

The oil price went ballistic when markets opened on monday and pumped 20% on the peak.
We had call options that were worthless on friday becoming worth hundred of millons on monday.

The attack itself should have been very cheap in comparison (drones attached with explosives - unseen by radar)

Still waiting - from the last call with the team i think it shouldnt be much longer Smiley
259  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Is there a culture where people are sorted by aptitude at age 9/10? on: August 30, 2019, 08:11:46 PM
I'm starting to think it becomes obvious who is going to be quite intelligent in certain fields by about the age of 8 of 9 and I'm wondering if anyone does this with education?

To me it seems obvious that everyone should be able to get referred from a teacher or take a test (potentially a compulsory one like sats in the UK) in order to determine their strengths and their weaknesses. Thinking back to high school (ages 10-16) for the entire time I didn't really do much, sure we got to learn about a lot of varied subjects but it wasn't particularly time specific - you could pick up a language at age 7 probably to similar ease as you could at age 11). Producing something like a research focused education (similar to what is done in universities) should be of a higher benefit to students giften in certain areas to take that forward. A lot of the time I talk to English, art, history etc students and they have to focus on getting advanced techniques rather than following their own style which I consider to be a waste of time as you're not teaching people to be creative and individual and look at other implications, you're telling them to become a cog. An example I have of this would be the use of punctuation which isn't very well defined in itself a lot of the time, learning things like their they're and there might be helpful but we'll probably do away with them in a few years and you'll be forced to infer by context (like when spoken).

Even though I mention tests it should ultimately be up to a pupil to decide what they want...

In germany after finishing the primary school you have to decide on what kind of school you will continue to go.

To visit the gymnasium and later study in university you need a good school record, a letter from your primary school which says you have the abilities to visit a gymnasium and depending on gymnasium also an entry exam.

Btw. at the end of primary school Einstein (based on his school records) was a rather average pupil who had problems with reading...

A brain reaches full maturity at around 18-21 years.
260  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Trump wants to buy Greenland on: August 22, 2019, 09:39:29 PM
Extremely unlikely that the sell will happen.

Several posters mentioned the economic and geo-political implications if the US owns greenland - all this is also in the interest of the EU and thus im quite sure that neither denmark nor the EU will support this.
