Sorry didn't miss it just didn't have an answer. Awaiting response from miningpool op about keeping it going. Going to plough into basshash backend when I get a minute but that's not likely to happen this week. Aiming to issue user friendly solo instructions alongside the new version in 1-3 weeks although it may end up being soon after.

what is the status of IOS wallet?? Is one in the pipeline?
We are out to a few developers waiting for quotations. One firm who undertook it failed to demonstrate any progress in 6 weeks. Have had a few come back saying they couldn't do it, and one organisation came in with an extremely high price recently. I have the java source for the android wallet. If you have any ideas about who it might be good to speak to definitely drop me a message.

Any plans for bigger exchange?
Absolutely, waiting for the new version to be finished which will be announced across channels - we ran into a few difficulties so this is anywhere between 2 and 4 weeks away from now. After that we're going full steam ahead on approaching larger exchanges - have got many relevant contacts, as ever participation from the community will be much appreciated at go time

And the barely moving market continues to tumble.
Complete nonsense

Contact made with Swisscex. Issues now resolved and transfers/wallet working normally.

Anyone know why the wallet isn't making any connections anymore?
https:///dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/89770849/Carboncoinwallet.rar @s88bd Can you introduce yourself please? Feel free to drop me a direct message if you want to have a proper conversation too. Beware strangers posting links... Head to www.carboncoin.cc for the latest wallet and if that doesn't connect straight away try doing an "addnode" from the console - type help in "help->debug window-> console", I believe oldminer listed his nodes on the previous page of this thread. An up to date nodelist will be included in the next release.

Have contacted swisscex awaiting response. In the meantime other wallets/clients appear to be working with no drama. Those looking to purchase a decent holding of coins, to sit on for the exciting things happening next, should contact carb-e on skype or over the phone, they will be able to facilitate any reasonable purchase - they are also fully up to speed with what is happening just around the corner.
We're in beta with our next upgrade to be released within the next fortnight or so.

@zebedee/digit Please let me know as soon as you hear any resolution from coins-e - if nothing within a week I will remove them from the official exchange list on the website. Regarding crypto-trade, in the closing few hours I could only see some 30M coins for sale up the ladder, so am not immediately inclined to suggest foul play. The increased offers at 2s could be a response to the fact that someone took out all of the 2s coins the other day, so they are starting to trade. Please keep me informed of any resolutions to these issues as soon as they occur. In this situation Carbon really proved itself as a fast and efficient method to transfer value here. Now i'm holding onto the extra carbon i have from CT and hoping more exchanges consider adding this coin.
Transfer of value is the aim of the game. We are days away from a beta of 0.9.3 with some custom security features. When this new version goes live (1-2 weeks) I will contact the remaining major exchanges to get listed there.

Well done Zebedee! Great updating. Swisscex is our major exchange, good volume but not much left to buy at these levels!

One or two upgrades happening to the forum to make it more user friendly, so any outages are likely to be down to that. Should be finished within the next couple of weeks. Sorry for not responding earlier, Happy New Year too!

Could the first post be updated please, CoinedUP is gone long ago and there are others with CARBON markets. I recommend Crypto-Trade for trading Carbon/BTC & Carbon/USD Gave it a once over for you. There's a new page in the pipeline, but have been extremely busy on other parts of the project. Give more time to updating our website and our forum, both kept as current as possible. ADD: I second that crypto-trade is a great exchange, as are our other exchanges

So what happens when all the coins(blocks) have been mined? What would be the incentive to keep mining? Just a thought.
Please ask the question on www.carboncointalk.org for full details regarding our solution. Note: The bitcoin protocol stipulates that the number of coins per block halves over a given number of them, so it tends to zero but doesn't ever get there. I.e. there isn't a finite number of blocks.

Meanwhile the distribution continues

So the eventual update is on it's way... Well done and thank you to everyone for being so patient.
I will say that due to the existence of copycats I am loathed to report progress until it has actually been achieved. I think it is vital that it is Carboncoin that benefits from my output, not any other altcoins initially.
This week has been one of very promising meetings and also a few interesting discussions in the public eye. This followed my leading a talk at google HQ last week on the future of money.
Please see the recent post on the facebook page to see our mention by an independent leading thinker in his talk at a london bitcoin conference 2 days ago.
Dave it is great to hear from you, I had begun to be concerned!
Let's have a catch up on skype soon, I have a very full schedule these days with Carboncoin still being my focus, but may have some time tomorrow evening or from thursday next week.
For the rest of everyone else out there, if you're not holding 2%, why not? Not having enough money is a good enough excuse though. And if you are holding more than 2% please sell some - a reasonably even distribution is completely imperative to our objectives.
Please contribute to Carboncointalk, there is much to discuss
Best

Thanks for all the pointers Dimmy, and for helping the knowledgeable to buy low.
Not long to wait for you now before you have to reorient this little account of yours.
We're far from finished with our work, but thanks for your concern as ever.

It doesn't ever become PoS, it does become more environmentally friendly than PoS. Just waiting on website revamp necessary for us to be media ready, then this forum will be fully updated. We are pushing for some completely unique security features currently with those expected to complete early in the new year. Hopefully the BCT presence will be fully up to date within the next week. There has been a huge amount going on and a huge amount has been achieved particularly considering we have had no formal funding as yet. Holders of Carboncoin will not be disappointed, indeed most have been informed about developments first hand, anyone wishing for an early update that i don't speak to regularly can get me on info@carboncoin.cc
