361  Economy / Reputation / Re: The BCT PGP/GPG Public Key Database: Stake Your PGP Key Here on: December 30, 2015, 04:59:09 PM
Instead of removing master-p's PGP key, OP might add a red tag beside it for an awareness call if someone signs anything with that key in future.

Did that. Just added a BEWARE!!! ESCROW SCAMMER notice beside his name.

I'm disappeared  Grin.

Sorry for that. Added you back.

364  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 30, 2015, 12:23:52 PM
The gmail account I use for this account was compromised, therefore the hacker was able to change my password without changing the e-mail. Luckily the e-mail is a bit of a throwaway I use for bitcointalk only, but that only solidifies the hackers control over my bitcointalk account.

In any case, I don't care about that anymore. I'm back here only to see if I can help resolve this and turn things around. I don't care to have any rep of mine restored, regardless if you guys believe my side of the story or not, my reputation here has been tainted. Simply by the fact that I didn't keep proper back ups and conducted better security practices when accepting/downloading certain files from people here. It was my own negligence, and I understand that. I don't care if I get dox'd or not because I know I didn't steal anything from anyone. Someone here is trying to fuck with me and has been successful with it so far.

I'll keep everyone here updated.

Good to see that you are really interested in fixing this up. Can you tell us if the addresses that contain our coins are under your control or if they belong to the hackers?
365  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multi-Sig ESCROW NETWORKs. 2-of-3/4/5 Network. (A Proposal) on: December 30, 2015, 12:16:03 PM
I think its a good idea for high value deals. Would this be possible over different wallet implementations, e.g. armory & electrum?

The above thing is about how to do it in electrum. I don't know if Armory supports it or not. It would be better if people tried to do find it and help me expand this to other wallets too.
366  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 30, 2015, 11:31:37 AM
This is very encouraging, hopefully people will get their coins back and master-p can clear his name Smiley.

well good luck with that last part Smiley

an escrow who disappears for weeks and doesn't keep wallet backups... no thank you

and until everyone is made 100% it's premature to claim anything. Remember we have two conflicting messages now signed by to two "real" master-p users

But one address (the one posted by real master-P today) (18ovXpWyu5kpmT6Lzp49PKDCtZNQoPhmGQ) contains transactions from OgNasty as claimed by the user whereas the other old address doesnt contain any transactions (16Ag7a28TfKwUQiUKcQuvTxATJM5khmX5p).

But I think only time will tell whats true and whats false. And there can be a possibility that both jonesz and REAL-master-p are the same person. First, he didn't wanted to return the funds but when people started threatening about doxing, he changed his mind?

Lets see what happens. Lets see if I get my 3 BTC back. Lets see if others get their 20-25 BTC back.
367  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 30, 2015, 11:06:45 AM
This is very encouraging. I am satisfied for now that there is a reasonable chance this is the real Master-P. I am putting your doxing on hold indefinitely pending your refund of held funds. I am glad you are sorting it out.

True Indeed.

UPDATE:

The above address 18ovXpWyu5kpmT6Lzp49PKDCtZNQoPhmGQ received 0.6041 BTC from 1MyUMNvuuyNHH6DQcidUibZagMkMwhJY6n. The address 1MyUMNvuuyNHH6DQcidUibZagMkMwhJY6n contains a lot of transactions from 1NastyBTCcxbAQQ22kEijbXqgyBPRujftL, which is OgNasty's address (probably of Nasty Mining).

Also, I did a taint analysis, and the thing is that the address 1MyUMNvuuyNHH6DQcidUibZagMkMwhJY6n did receive coins from 168WXhArv7Fasqvi2xm5MQMfLhG18jifMe which is definitely OgNasty's address.

So, yes this is indeed very good news for those who got scammed.

So, mostly yes, this guy

Well I am working on that now. I figured if this is a keylogger or some sort of malware I should try moving the drives that contained my wallet files and restoring them on another PC. I did not have back ups set up at the time, negligent of me but at the time I was already moving data from my old PC to another and had forgotten to keep a spare back up of the wallets.

Excuse my slow replies due to the 360 second posting restriction for me.

is the real Master-P.

I am back home. I was able to access my personal wallet which contains addresses I've used for transacting here on Bitcointalk. The address I used below is one where I sold a 2500k processor to "ChanceCoats123" here on Bitcointalk. The transaction is escrowed by OgNasty. He may verify this if he wishes to. This took place in June 2015.

This is master-P signing this message using the address: 18ovXpWyu5kpmT6Lzp49PKDCtZNQoPhmGQ

This is an address used back in June 2015 for a transaction that involved OGNasty as the escrow.

I did not sell my account. My account was hacked and any other claims stating otherwise are false.

The hacker does not have control of the wallet that contains this address as far as I can tell.

369  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Multi-Sig ESCROW NETWORKs. 2-of-3/4/5 Network. (A Proposal) on: December 30, 2015, 10:08:00 AM
It sounds like an interesting suggestion. Though i wonder about some things. For creating an escrow would all 4 escrows be needed right? It would surely take some more time until all escrows were online since most escrows that are more established can't be online all day on bitcointalk. So the traders would need to deal with the fact that it would take some more time.

I expected this as I was also thinking about it. Yes, initially while setting up this thing, it needs all the four to be online at the same time to create a wallet. But since the addresses on all the wallets would be similar, it needs only two people (or more) people to sign and broadcast the transaction.

Though when the deal is for, let's say, more than 10k USD then this definitely would be a way traders would consider. An escrow network would have a big advantage against an automated multisig network where no escrow decisions will take place. And the involvement of 4 escrows would make it pretty safe.

For smaller transactions, if someone still wants to use multisig, it might be an idea to lower the amount of escrows to 2 and the other 2 might be buyer and seller. Though i did not yet go deeper into the mechanisms since it practically never happens that someone asks for multisig escrow. This might change with the current events around master-P.

I agree with what you say in the italic text. But with bolded text, there's a problem. Once setup, the number of signatures required will be fixed. I guess you cannot change the number of people required to sign a transaction (I am not sure about this). I checked electrum and no, you cannot change the number of signatures needed to sign a transaction once the multi-sig wallet has been setup. Irrespective of the size of transaction, there should be atleast 2 (or more or all) people signing the transaction because lowering it to 1 will again cause the same problem. Single guy will sign and vanish away.

So i think it is a nice idea.

So 3 small points remains... since many escrows would take part it would mean a tip would be have to shared. The trade would take more time and electrum takes an additional fee for multisig transactions. Didn't check how high it is.

The advantage would be a high security. Which definitely would be great for bigger, risky transactions.

Thanks for the underlined compliment. Yes, tip should be shared or people can do it for free too. Because of increased security, people will be okay to pay a better fee for this. This will also justify the trust system of the forum.

371  Economy / Trading Discussion / Multi-Sig ESCROW NETWORKs. 2-of-3/4/5 Network. (A Proposal) on: December 30, 2015, 05:12:27 AM
Alright, I was a victim of the master-P scam. I was scammed 3 BTC from it. Many others were scammed. The amount was around 25 BTC. So, instead of using a single guy, I would propose a better way of escrow. With this, a need for Multi-Sig escrow service was felt. So, I foudn a way of implementing this using Electrum as the wallet. I do not use other wallets, so, I couldn't get hold of them. Any other suggestions would surely be added here.

This can be called as "Multi-Sig Escrow Network". Multi-Sig because this uses multiple users to sign the transaction. Escrow because escrow scams need to be stopped. Network because multiple people would be involved in this.

Now, let's assume a case where Me (grtthegreat), OgNasty, SebastianJu, monbux offer an escrow network. And say, I turn out to be a scammer, and SebastianJu is on vacation, then the other two can sign the transaction.

I am using Electrum and I found that in Version 2.5.4, there's a provision to create a Multi-Sig wallet with as many cosigners as possible. Here, we are four. So, any of the two (or more) signatures are always required to sign the transaction. In this case, I (none of us alone) can use the funds. This way, this prevents escrows from being scammers.

Each network should contain three or four or five members at max, and atleast two of them should be highly trustworthy.

This guide I created below shows how we can create a Multi-Sig escrow network in Electrum and cosign four (or more) members and allow two (or more) to sign the transaction. This also fastens the transaction speed because if four members come online at different times, there's high probability that any two coming online first, can sign and allow transaction.

NOTE: This guide below uses Electrum 2.5.4. Please upgrade to the latest Electrum.

372  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. How I GOT SCAMMED. on: December 29, 2015, 06:22:03 PM
Actually that iflewtoday32 dude did the same (start trade, escrow with master-P, no reply anymore) with "cryptosun" on 21 dec. Master-P also said same reasons (PC crash etc.) but did refund his BTC1.

In addition this iflewtoday32 already has 2 legit-looking scam accusations from some months ago, so I left negative trust to him (not replying to those accusations and locking that thread seems enough to me.) Not fully sure if related to this Master-P scam, but he should at least reply to the previous 2 scam accusations and these 2 "no-reply" trades.

Actually, I know cryptosun pretty well. He did contact me and I know about this already. But since it was out if context, I didn't put this up here. On 20th itself cryptosun contacted and told me about this. But master-P sorted out this, so I thought it was okay. But now, this turned to be a huge gigantic, enormous scam.

Anyways, thanks for putting it on here.

----- SNIP -----

(I guess you came back after reading my email Wink )

You sent him an email? Wasn't that probably hacked/sold as a bundled kit with the account?
374  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P's scammed funds summary. Post your case here if you were scammed. on: December 29, 2015, 04:34:56 PM
If each of the victims could publicly post an address to send refunds to I would appreciate it. This way we can all monitor the progress (or non-progress) of reparations. If you could please op add these to the original post.

I agree with this. I will post my address along with my PGP signature here soon.
375  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 01:19:00 PM
At this point I don't think it matters who believes me or not.

If I can't restore access to my wallets to return everyone's funds, or the hacker succeeds in transferring the coins out of the escrow wallets then I will compensate everyone out of my own pocket at the best of my abilities.

My reputation has been tarnished. Scammer or not, my poor security practices to allow such an event to take place has forever ruined my reputation in this community. Therefore after I have (hopefully) resolved and repaid everyone, I will be leaving this community permanently. Regardless if I get "dox'd" or not. I am not a scammer, this whole thing is just a huge misfortune for everyone including myself.

Quoting.

Anyways, can you prove that you are the true master-P. This seems really fishy hearing this even though it's worth appreciation.

The only thing which still gives hope is the fact that the all the coins are still intact in their respective addresses.
379  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. How I GOT SCAMMED. on: December 29, 2015, 10:56:21 AM
Are you sure that you will be able to post his dox in this forum (bitcointalk.org)? Maybe it is against the rules, I don't remember.
Its not against the rules to compile information freely available on the internet. He is AFAIK giving master-p a chance to fix all this

Oh ok, so the personal info (such name, surname etcc) of master-P is public and well know / easily to find on internet. Then I hope that master-P  will fix everything very soon.

Hoping for the same.
380  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Master-P POSSIBLE SCAM. I lost complete faith in this forum now. on: December 29, 2015, 10:46:41 AM
UPDATE:

I have contacted user macbook-air (the owner/admin of F2Pool) and here's what I sent him:

Hello Sir, actually I wanted to let you know that there has been a big scam recently in this forum. A trusted escrow agent master-P scammed nearly 10 users with around 12-15 BTC that people escrowed with him. So, at the point of writing this thing, the coins haven't been spent from any of the addresses yet. I am also one of the victim of this scam. I have around 3 BTC stuck in this. Many people are part of this and have lost significant amount of Bitcoins.

We need a small help from you. I have come up with this idea to contact the mining pools and ask them to not confirm the transactions that spend these coins. I would.like to quote here what I proposed as a temporary fix.

Not sure how far this is feasible. But I got an idea.

How about us all contacting all the mining pools and ask them not to confirm the transactions that spend coins from the escrow addresses unless the coins are sent to the real owners.

For example, we ask them to confirm the transaction which spends the coins from 18PJHZTTPvcWrpBMnFStgyuphpvuwTgT3k to 1QF1Eo1mXv7M93FuntAHuiSGx2wkpxqJem. This is so because that address was given to me via master-P to me for escrow for a trade. Only such transaction will be confirmed.

This will at least temporarily force him to refund the money.

So, can you do this for us. The thread accusing master-P is here:
