With all respect to Balduro idea, I can't imagine who may want to buy AUR right now when Airdrop just begun. Maybe idiots fooled by Sevoque. BTW - what about your Panda Coin?  Smiley Do you remeber this coin?

there's a thread for responses like this.. it's called "the trolls pit", they'll gladly welcome you
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: x11 Mining Guide on: March 31, 2014, 02:13:52 PM
How about instead of another fake algorithm that uses "less energy" and generates "less heat" lets work on the false positive in the virus warnings. Call me stupid but I'm almost 100% sure its a rootkit and if it's not those false positive warnings are telling you and everyone else that you are opening your computer to more vulnerabilities.

We need legit programming we don't need more hex edited shit with a rootkit binded to minerd ty men.

..you forgot to use the MAX font size Roll Eyes

2 clicks, and about 1 minute of time is enough to find out that this is from the official thread of sgminer on bitcointalk.. sorry mate, but i don't think this community needs posts like this

In other news, Aur was sold by Criptorush (they sold peoples money they had on site for btc themselves) and now they don't even show Aur on their site. I checked the pot/Aur then for Aur/btc.

AUR/POT is Currently Disabled or has been Removed!

What a bunch of scummy cunts. I've been trying to withdraw btc from them since yesterday and it aint havin it

I'm sorry to hear that..
Glad i moved my AUR from there!
1647  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 29, 2014, 01:45:40 PM
Well now this is over with. Took some time for KGW to normalize, since the previous blocks had such extreme blocktimes. A lot of blocks mined in the process.

Thanks to the miners who stuck with AUR.

I don't understand the vitriol and shadenfreuden going on over this.

Auroracoin had the potential to really help the Icelandic economy, and is a public shop window for the potential crypto currency as a whole. This undermines the prospects for every cryptocurrency.

yeah.. but some people just want to have "fun" and they will undermine every good effort that's done and that can bring something new for the average person..

this is not the end of Auroracoin, even if it forked, it can be repaired, people just need to calm down and wait for the developers and the owner, to look into it..

EFL coin is a very cheap national coin look into it

that's great.. i'm sure, there's a thread for it, like there's one for Auroracoin, in which you're posting right now  Roll Eyes

Got undervolted 7970s 1.1v. can't seem to get them over 1.89Mhs though... Annoying!

Quote
-I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --gpu-engine 1055 --gpu-memclock 1455 --thread-concurrency 22400 --gpu-powertune 20

i'll look at my setting at home, and post them here for you... i'm getting 2150mh/s on my 7970 (it's a sapphire vaporx edition with 3gb - but i was getting low hashrate with scrypt, untill i flashed the bios - more info here https://litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=2963.0)

and i have a variety of GPU's (it's behaving the same on every GPU.. 6850, 7850, 2 x 6950, 7870xt, 7970)

Do you get 1.47 Mhash  on your 7870 xt as well (~430khash on scrypt)? Its not a bad value per se but my 5850's are getting 1.37 Mhash so its kind of dissappointing.

Mining 400 hic per day is kind of depressing and less than 0.01 btc per day but thats how it is these days  Cry

yes, i'm getting almost the same results as you with the 7870xt (~430 - 450kh scrypt, and 1.4 - 1.5mh hiro/x11).. this is a very tricky card, and i was happy to even get this kind of hashrate with it   Tongue

Wow, lot of negativity on here, yet no suggestions of a better way of executing an airdrop.

Kudos to Baldur.  Even if this is a total flop, he has led the way and others can build on this experiment.

However for every seller of AUR there is a buyer who is willing to hold for longer term.  Because they know this isn't a 3 day experiment.  I remember when BTC were less than 10 cents and I still have some I  bought back then because that experiment isn't over yet either.

The majority of the population segment that has been cut out of the airdrop (35yo+) because of the validation chosen (facebook)
is also the same segment that owns the majority of businesses. I am guessing they might be a bit put off because of this
alone.

In less than 3 minutes after reading your assertion I was able to determine there are 116,000 people on Facebook who claim to live in Iceland and are aged 35 and over.  And there are 220,000 people on Facebook who claim to live in Iceland and are 13+, so in fact more than half of the people that can participate in this experiement are in your segment of the population that are 'cut out of the airdrop'.

I can't think of a more efficient way for one person to execute an airdrop at such low cost than using FB to validate, can you?

Sure there will be fraud.  This is a project that involves humans.  If you're looking for perfection let us know when you build it.

yeah.. some people are just unbelievable Smiley

first, it was a total scam coin (after only a few days of its life), then balduro was a scammer - who's going to dump all the premined AUR, then there was that airdrop scam, etc etc..  now when the airdrop is actually taking place, there are people who try to bury this coin after only one or two days.. and it doesn't stop here.. now there's the "stupid" claiming process and people attack the creator because it's not perfect.. but how many of these trolls actually helped with something ?? ideas , coding, press, etc.. ?
sheesh...

I feel bad for anyone who actually thought this was going to be a success. Glad i sold all mine when it hit 1 billion for a day.

i feel sorry for people like you...

you just can't see the bigger picture, but oh well.. suit yourself mate and be happy with your early sold AUR coins Smiley
1655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][0.8.6] Hirocoin - X11 - Secured Blockchain - Time Warp Limitation - KGW on: March 26, 2014, 11:05:11 AM
what kind of hashrate should I expect on a 270x? any recommendations for settings?

about 3x hashrate, half energy consumption, and a BIG reduction in temperature. You can use your scrypt parameters, but you can up the mem and gpu clock ( 1050 to 1200 memclock for 280x). More is probably achievable, but it's a good start and you can tweak it later.

i've found the same, when i was trying to adjust the clocks yesterday.. x11 is not that picky about exact clocks of gpu/mem (like when i was mining emc2 or auroracoin).. now, the more i'm increasing the clocks, the more hash i'm getting.. and i have a variety of GPU's (it's behaving the same on every GPU.. 6850, 7850, 2 x 6950, 7870xt, 7970)

guys, this crypto is getting better by the day Smiley

just found an article about the Auroracoin airdrop on one of our internet portals (Slovakia)

great job!
1657  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 25, 2014, 04:40:17 PM
AUR can be a success if merchants learn how to accept it as payment before consumers learn how to dump the coins on exchanges.

The clock is ticking.

In other news.. AUR has disappeared off CMC?

..aaand it's gone.

Just stale datapoints, since the block explorer is down.

yep.. it's on the other page

Successfully dumped my whopping 8 coins before the dump, @ 0.022  Cool

i would buy more AUR, now the price is lower than when you sold.. but that's just me
1659  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 24, 2014, 08:09:29 PM
Shameless plug for planetdollar, we are doing airdrop in another way.. through social network unique authentication:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=524080.0

Effectively airdrop and mining starts at same time.

wrong thread mate  Roll Eyes
1660  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 24, 2014, 08:05:05 PM
did you check if the coins moved from any of the accounts listed where the premined coins are?

Yeah was about to say, how do you expect coins to be distributed without being moved.

They have in fact being moved from the first address listed in the first post

ok
we just want to be sure
i think it's great that people are active, and are watching something like this..
it's the first time in history, and there were so many scam coins to this day :\

i just hope, this will be a success.. wish balduro (and others involved) only the best Smiley
