AUR : High difficulty : Long confirmations. : Very low profitability.

Why would anybody mine AUR ?

why would anybody be such a big troll and post the same bullshit in multiple threads?
1684  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 06, 2014, 02:35:15 PM

1685  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 06, 2014, 02:32:04 PM
It's time to dump all your AUR.

The coin is broken. Difficulty isn't adjusting like it should so miners are hardly finding any blocks.
As result transactions aren't confirming and the supposed "fix" is weeks away at the current pace (and there's no indication it's going to speed up).

Maybe it's for the best though, without working transactions the devs can't even dump the premine Smiley
And you can't blame the current price on miners dumping their share, blocks mined days ago are still unconfirmed.

Quoted to make fun of you in the next pump.

+1

LOL
the trolls never cease to amaze me Cheesy

i am sceptical ( a tiny bit ).  according to some sources the company behind auroracoin is located in panama.

First of all, there is no "company" behind it. For all I know, Balduro might be a special department within the Iceland government trying to secretly define a new economical future for its inhabitants, heaven knows, they have been fucked over for almost a century by other foreign economies! The reason why the site is registered anonymously trough a domain service in Panama to me sounds very logical. It doesn't matter namely who started the coin, it's future lies within the community (Us!) that adopts it!

Of course the 50% pre minded coins still need to be airdropped fairly, but also that is something we are all working on! So why not join us!: http://forum.auroracoin.org

For all I know, Balduro might be a grand wizard who will grant my every wish and eternal life. Heaven knows the Icelandic people are used to being fucked over so let's all give them a few thousand dollars for free and then pull the rug out from underneath them when they realize that it is not actually worth thousands of dollars and it has all been a get rich quick scheme for everyone but them. THey must be used to this by now so it is OK.

Of course the 50% premined coins will be airdropped fairly. Just trust me. I know what I am talking about. No need for me to explain how or why. Just trust me on this. You have no need to worry at all.

Fair enough mate! But that is just the way it is! Either you back it or you don't. My only point is that some of us are aware of the immense opportunity this coin has to really change the crypto landscape. That is why we are putting in real effort and put our BTC where our mouth is. Even if we get fucked, at least I can say I tried to create something good. What is the real investment of most screechers here?

it's pointless to fight with the trolls mate..
i've tried to post something similiar, but now i'm just ignoring these kind of posts..
the only thing that makes me sad, is when new people come to this thread and see these stupid trolls talking about the same bullshit over and over again, when most of the information they want is in the first post.. they will just think it's another scam coin and leave :\
i bet 99% of these trolls are just angry people, because they are "late to the game" or just want to make profit from other coins, so they will bash aurora..
1687  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUR][MANDATORY UPDATE] Auroracoin - a cryptocurrency for Iceland on: March 03, 2014, 03:42:04 PM
another scam coin.

Just wait until dev start dumping. This coin has nothing just  hype.

thank you very much for this essential information.. we've read it on this forum a zillion times before, but a zillionth time +1 from you was really worth it..

Lets stop for a second thinking only about profits and ask a few questions such as.
Who will use aurora in the first place?
Is there any apps that make it easy to use for average person?
Any merchants accepting it?
Has the developer demonstrated how each person will even claim AUR?
I only saw talk and nothing else. I believe this is another pump and dump coin that people follow i can't believe 50% premine and everyone is piling on it.

Now look at the OP he was registered right on Feb 2. I am sure he has another username on this forum. Ask yourself why did he register a new username?

hey.. i can see your point, and i understand your concern.. but does this forum really need posts like "it's a big scaaam! everybody runnn!!!! developer only waiting to dump all those premined coins, BULLSHIT COIN" .. hm?

i'm trying to learn about this coin as much as possible, but it's really annoying to read through this thread and on EVERY page see posts like this.. i'm not trying to silence posts/people who are really adding to the discussion, and have relevant information/questions..
so please let's keep it as clean as possible..

this coin is a really nice idea, and if it works, it'll be just another positive step for cryptocoins in the future..
yes it could very easily be a scam, and if it is, everybody will see it and this coin will hit the bottom very soon after that..
you can't prevent people from supporting this or from putting their money into this.. it's their choise and posts like "IT'S A SCAAAM!" will not help them at all.. everybody's responsible for their actions and choises

you can clearly see the coin is being HEAVILY manipulated atm...... but fools will follow into the slaughterhouse.

Yes, some BIG WHALES KEEPING THE PRICE DOWN so they can buy MORE!!1

But seriously, could you pumpers, speculators, and fudsters please start another thread for that zero-value crap.. a lot of people who are new to cryptos will be introduced to them through this coin and having to read pages and pages of that same bull worded just a bit differently is not going to get them excited of the whole crypto movement. They might even decide this kindergarten is not for them at all.

2. Pump 1000 btc into it or let the suckers do that for you
3. hurr durr we are bigger than litecoin
4. Dump to 1 satoshi
 Grin

Not now. Big dump will began after 25th March. Dev is not idiot. He is smart, very smart. Wink

i really don't understand why are u constantly bitching about this coin and spamming this forum with the same bullshit over and over again?
don't like the coin? ok! nobody's forcing you to buy or mine this.. go and make your own coin, pool, project, whatever...
you've stated your opinion several times already.. there's enough spamming in this thread, so please don't add to it..

Is there a stable pool for mining?

I loose connection with "http://aur.easy-mine.eu" and "http://aur.pool.mineabit.com".

http://aur.easy-mine.eu is working for me, and the pool servers too (i'm from europe)

btw. there's so many new users, that the server was down a few times..
still, this is very nice pool, i can only recommend it Smiley

But they have some problems with their database I suppose.
I can't see my hasrate on my dashboard anymore.

Absolute same,Did you have long confirmation too and many time lost connection ?

I have made 0.8 since yesterday and no one was confirm!! Shocked

get away, until you have time

look that: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=245938.340

that happen with cosmo coin  ----->>>>

look the message i got from a guy from the pool

-----

this coin very risk, hacker hack this coin 2 or 3 times every day recently, money in your wallet will roll back

this is why this coin suddenly profit 300000%

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=462867.0

----

Lol.. It's the way this coin/network works.. There are quite long confirmation times, but i can assure you it's working ok.. Try to read before you post something, it's been said here on this forum many times..

Btw.the pools reported hashrates are often not very reliable.. They fluctuate and many times reporttwice as much hashrate than i actually have.. Better to check your minig sw to see what's your real hashrate
