As far as we know that they have emptied their offices in China, verified by one guy that went there and looked through the office window, that FC is not kidnapped or dead, just hiding and that AM execs have turned their cell phones off. Unless you have actual factual proof, please stop spreading FUD. You really shouldn't worry--as I understand it, trading is going to remain halted for this wholesome goodness. In other words, no man might buy or sell [AMHash], save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name strike that, no one shall buy or sell AMHash period. I would really like people to finally put the non-argument... Whelp, calling an argument you can't counter "non-argument" seems like a good start. Would you seriously argue that someone will not purchase a car because he expects it to be 2% cheaper next year? And what about the next year: again no purchase due to the same reason? Asking the question is answering it. It's really a non-argument. Would I put off buying a fleet of new cars for my company if cars depreciated more substantially? The answer is "obviously yes." No one is talking about necessities, like morning coffee. I don't care if I have to pay double @ 7am for the same cup I could buy for its regular price @ 7pm. Don't extrapolate from this that I don't care about saving money, and that 200% daily deflation would not alter my buying habits. My turn: Would you invest in car company stock that nets 2% a year, knowing that keeping your money in your mattress Trezor would be both safer & net the same end result? |

Well. I submitted hodl to urban dictionary with the following definition:
hodl: A long term commitment to uncompromisingly retain possession of a thing without regard for any changes in sentiment or market conditions.
And the following example:
I know ill end up shooting myself in the foot if i try to day trade my bitcoins, so I'm hodling. I'll check back on price when it's time to retire.
They rejected it. I don't know why. If someone else wants to try to resubmit it, go for it.
Because IRL world finds all things Bitcoin at best irrelevant or, more likely, grossly offensive. Remove all references to Bitcoin & try again. |

I for one am not hurt about it. If i lose the money, It was because i invested what I was not afraid to lose. If it comes back then great. If it doesn't, it was a risk I was willing to take - I lose it and move on...
