181  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: January 08, 2021, 06:04:58 AM
Due to bitcoin recent rise, many gamers are out in full force complaining once again against miners. Saying they are buying out all the GPUs during a pandemic where people are forced to stay at home and saying that there are no good GPUs for sale unless its some 5 year old Radeon R9 280X or older GPUs.

I actually remember a few years back in 2017 when I was at the computer store. Some guy was complaining and swearing at miners saying they are distrupting the computer games business and computer stores should limit the stock to 1 per customer, which they were already doing.

So I guess, if you got any 4GB GPUs now seems to be the perfect time to Craiglist them.

Every gamer I build a rig for mines and every one gets a better rig because they mine.

I am going to sell them a 3080 rig vs a 3060ti rig. Cause they mine when go to work.

You not understanding the irony doesn't make it unironicall.

What "irony"? There's no irony present in that story.

 - A single member of congress is considering reintroducing a reparations bill bill that creates a committee to explore the possibility of reparations in the future.

 - The CEO of BET (which stands for Black Entertainment Television for all you non-yanks) wants $350,000 for each black person.

Where's the fucking irony?

Seriously, humor me for two seconds and explain it to me. Here it is for easy reference:

https://www.foxnews.com/politics/reparations-sheila-jackson-lee

If you read the story quickly and your mind is already made up, you might walk away from it thinking congress is introducing a $14 trillion reparations bill, and you'd be wrong.

Well..
I’m a first generation German immigrant so I think they can pay me repetitions for carpet bombing my families small town and all of their wealth into oblivion..
The allies starved my family almost to death after destroying all of their means of prosperity.. Had to work very young “child labor” to barely survive..

The slaves atleast got fed, and were bought/paid, and got a free boat trip here..
We were basically left to starve to death..

So figure I’ll have me some reparations too tyvm..
Look reparations dont work as you would then have to give it to the jews and the gypsies that you eliminated.  And I have to pay for the Irish woman my viking ancestors raped along with the countless american Indians my Spanish ancestors hurt lastly my Roman ancestors would mean I have to pay for them.

They are a lost cause.

But slavery in the USA for the least amount of time in history out of basically any other country in the world deserves reparations??

Their is STILL mass slavery in Africa and nobody wants to do jack shit about it.. But yeah let’s tax the USA to death to pay FREED slaves ancestors??

Slavery was basically the British colonies and once becoming the USA they were freed rather quickly, in the grand scale of history..

Blacks should be praising the USA to the moon for freeing slaves, not blaming it on the USA..

It’s ridiculous..

Slow down I dont have time to write posts. Note I was writing a more clear reason they don't work.

They are a lost cause and won't get paid. Here a reason my family came here in 1900. What do I pay as compared  to a guy that dates to 1680 and ran slave ships. Or you if your family came in 1948 or so.

Mining influencers are.weaker than they used to be.

SO I know that bigtime money investors are the real movers here. Yeah I have two price correction numbers or ranges.

26-30k

Or 70-80k

We passed first level of 26-30k

Does.it mean we correct very quick this week.

Or do we just go on up at to and near the high range of 70-80k.

One angle to think.

Next angle I can triple my mine size watts from 170 to 500 kwatts of power. Hard to get thr gear.
Next angle Selling old gear. Easy at the moment .
Next angle I can sell my mined alt coins HOLD the btc.

I have not been in this good of a spot ever. A lot of decisions to make.

Getting harder to see, but I think it's going sideways...

Bitcoin does not know sideways, especially in times like these...

Get a grip, explorer.

We are in the top of no man's land (how the hell could that end up in any kind of sideways?)... hardly seems plausible.. even though anything could end up playing out in bitcoinlandia, even if it should not have been considered as plausible.

TLDR: Sideways appears to be a kind of wishful-thinkening coming out of uie.

WE did a thirty day sideways movement in sept to oct. Say 11k to 11k.

We then took off and got as high as 24.5k

Once again. I see two chances we peak near 30k in under two weeks then correct to 18k.

Or we go sideways arou d 23k for 30 or 40 days close to my birth day in late jan then take off to  over 40 k+.

The first guess makes more sense and is in line with your opinio

Also a lot depends on Your power cost.

Say these exist you pay and wait 100 days.

They go out and build newer  versions with your money.

Maybe three to five units with 6 or 8 gb.

Takes them a month . They now mine with the one you paid for for 70 days. And have multiple improved models added with the cash. So what happens. They score.

Only mentally ill people would buy this. Unless it was three day ship time.

Besides it is 12000 usd plus shipping and maybe trump r
Tax to usa. Makes it a 15k item that does not show up until april.

AMD 5700xt is say 400 you can get 30 for 12k and do 1500 hash for 3000 watts.

All on warranty. 3000 in cash left over. Pays for 30000 kwatts of ten cent power.

You use 120 kwatts a day with 30 5700xt units. So your power would be paid for 250 days.

I purchased three 5700xts this week for 1200. I know I can get 30 by the 1st of feb.
191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Any news about nvidia 3060ti hash rates? on: December 24, 2020, 01:31:13 PM
Nvidia founders edition: 60% Power Limit, -300 Core, +1270 Mem, 61.4 mh/s

457.51 driver.

May I ask what software is it ? newly updated NBminer ?

currently t-rex 19.4 cuda 11

Those are good numbers
192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Asic LINZHI 2600 Mh/s on: December 24, 2020, 01:24:11 PM
Why would they sell them if they exist?

This is exactly correct.
193  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: Why not to mine on pools mining empty blocks, and why do pools mine empty blocks on: December 23, 2020, 05:52:34 PM
I am interested in what is done to not mine an empty block.

We know there is a time factor involved here.

Ie a block solved 1 second after the last block won't have a lot of tx in it.

So if a big pool solves quickly due o to lots of hash they would be more likely to have tiny blocks
194  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: December 19, 2020, 04:43:25 PM
Yeah I got two powercolor.
One came two days ago one is due just after xmas.

Happy so far so good. I WANT 99 DAYS LIKE TODAY.
195  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 19, 2020, 04:35:48 PM
So, we seem to be stuck on 23000, that's probably good, we need some rest after that steady rise from 19500.
Now time for staying here around $23000 for some long time like we have in $19500 because this could be good Christmas gift for all bitcoiners.

Sideways we go just waiting for the next strike.

Please note: this was take directly from bing search "sidewinder"

Seems to be sideways with small uptick =  one more big strike before new years

26-30k are.very possible this year
196  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Stolen ETH from my Ledger on: December 18, 2020, 06:45:40 PM
Destroy the printer??

Ok so this paper wallet site is apparently specific to bitcoin, is that correct? My current plan is to mine altcoins, most likely ETH, which I understand I have the option to convert to Bitcoin, but I haven't actually done anything yet.  Plan to get started early in the new year.  Would these same options exist for altcoins as well as bitcoin?

The metal seed savers look cool.  Like the president's nuke codes LOL.
THE  alt coins vary. Some do some don't .

If it is you home printer. Just print a long document it will flood the cache with new info
197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU Mining KILLER - The Innosilicon Ethereum ASIC Miner - A10 Review and Profits on: December 15, 2020, 03:57:30 PM
I won't say  "MUCH MORE POWERFUL AND EFFICIENT than Ethereum GPU mining rigs"

because..

A10 Pro+ Miner (720Mh) @ 1300w

3080 (90mh) x8 720 @ ~1600W or ~2000w system included

not even x2 less powerful and efficient.

Actually 95mh a card so 7 x 95 is 665 at about 1700 watts

Vs 720 at about 1300 watts

The real problem is not that it works better the problem is too much hash will simply lower eth coin prices.

ETH could fix it by simply waiting 2 months and let all a10s sell out. Then alter the algorithm to 7gb dag. It would kill off a shit ton of hash .

The chances of that are next to nothing. But you never know. Maybe once the boss of eth would fuck with asic builders heads.
198  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Interested in Mining, doing due diligence, have some hardware questions. on: December 04, 2020, 04:59:13 PM
Nice wording.  Do not expect a piece of asic gear to last three years.
1-2 is more like it.
Power cost is key.
You need to have cheap power.

RIGHT now at this minute a used s17pro with aftermarket firmware is more efficient then the s19pro with stock firmware.

But reallist numbers say 30 watt a th and 200th in s17pro comes to

26usd a day in coin power would be 144kwatts at 10 cents that is 14.40

Net is 11-12 a day

If you have 5 cent power that is 7.2 a day net is 18-19 a day

If you have 15 cent power that is 21.6 a day net is 6-7 a day

Maybe you get four s17pro for 4200.
199  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Is now a good time to build mining rigs? on: November 24, 2020, 04:09:03 PM
Everyone has his own situation. For someone mining is the right way to get profit, for another - it can be only trading. Here we are speaking about mining, so the main discussion can be about it. And about mining i can say that now is the worst time to start. U can upgrade your rigs, buy some more(this isnt right choice as for me, but if u have several rigs - its possible) or sell rigs and wait. But if u`re just starting - soon we`ll see a new thread "mining - scam"

Nah a simple two card 5700 rig for under 1000 can be built.

It will burn about 8 kwatts a.day
200  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Number 9! Ninth altcoin thread. Back to the moon Baby! on: November 24, 2020, 03:58:33 PM
Anyone mining ETC and converting it to ETH?

ETH diff is now at ATH

Yeah but price is over 600 and the 5700xt or the 3080 are efficient so for now eth is still worth mining.
