Damn, I was too late to the party.

I was about to sign up for the faucet too.

There is so many sites who still has faucet just search in the forum and try there.

We didn't remove the faucet in a light decision. We have plans for a better way to give them out. Trust us!

I did a withdrawal of 0.00165 to https://blockchain.info/address/1P6KL64afhoiDsiNvEGVjUkyQNQMFnacZC I have't received the amount yet.

The website told me: "Withdrawal pending, amount bigger than wallet balance".

So where is my money?

There was a large winning that cleared the hot wallet balance. Withdraws are being processed now and funds have been added to the wallet. Limited funds are kept on the server for security reasons.

191  Economy / Speculation / Re: 700$ by tomorrow? on: June 01, 2014, 06:44:49 PM
down to 640$. eh!
192  Economy / Speculation / Re: 700$ by tomorrow? on: June 01, 2014, 06:28:00 PM
Will be $700 per coin by end of the day tomorrow (June 2nd)?

I believe so. It has been on the up for the last week. Yesterday there was a significant jump in price. Today, it broke 660 and continues to linger around that price point.

We could hit it in the next 2 hours.

According to preev, we just broke 680$ 40$ jump so far today.
193  Economy / Speculation / Re: 700$ by tomorrow? on: June 01, 2014, 06:26:56 PM

OP (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=227245) logged in his account yesterday, but he don't even care to make an update here with a make-up story

Honestly, that does not mean much. Whoever the owner is created this account purely for running this site, hence the name. He most likely is an active user on another account.

True.
But if the owners want to keep running the site, with or without paying 1Dice1, he should continue communication with his existing and potential bettors and investors. It is now clearly to me that he simply doesn't care about his existing and potential bettors and investors.

He wont do that. If he wants to keep running site, he will just do redesign and launch again , then probably scam everybody again.

Hopefully everybody will be more hesitant to investing. Just launching in March, we are slowly picking up. I don't know how they got so much attention so soon, but if a site were to launch immediately and attract that much attention I would steer away.

It's a nice idea, but really I don't believe we'll reach $100,00 USD a coin anytime soon. I doubt it'd even be in my lifetime. It would take massive adoption by nearly everyone in most major economies for us to have the price spike to that point - and realistically I doubt that will be the case until we can convince laypeople to use Bitcoin (considering that most don't understand it).

I completely agree with this statement. Not saying that it couldn't happen, because I want it to, but for the masses to adopt bitcoin it needs to become easier to use and overcome some of its existing limitations. The biggest draw back of BTC is ease of access. Exchanges are not exactly "simple person" friendly as they require a basic understanding of trading and look completely shady. Coinbase is working towards the general user base, but even at this point it takes days to get purchased funds. It almost needs to be dumbed down.

It has always been my opinion that the easiest way of adoption would be a bitcoin debit card that works similar to the current debit card system.  However they wouldn't be tied to actual addresses, but rather accounts. The account would generate a new address when sending as it currently does and a pin would be required to uncover the private key to move funds.

Where bitcoin currently is excelling is in tech savvy people. There has been a small subset who have adopted bitcoin to gamble. Especially in the US. I don't see the masses flocking to BTC for at least another 3 years.
199  Economy / Lending / Re: Lending to risky individual on: June 01, 2014, 01:40:54 AM
I personally know better. But I'm trying to figure out why others are taking that risk. I can only think ignorance.
200  Economy / Lending / Lending to risky individual on: May 31, 2014, 11:58:50 PM
I have to ask. I seen on a bitcoin lending site today an individual who I would consider to be very risky. They have taken out and and paid back several 1 btc loans.  While reviewing their history, I noticed that one load was defaulted for a year before it was repaid.

Would you lend to them? I would not shake a stick in their direction. I see several users invested in their loan. Maybe they are ignorant?
