221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Helping a friend to shop for GPU online on: June 29, 2021, 07:27:18 AM
Shopping on Alibaba lately and I came across some rtx3080 at the price of 1700$ to 1800$ while the price on Amazon store is over 2000$ I want to know if this is legit? Though eBay stated the sellers as 100% positive, another worry here is how to identify the LHR GPU and non LHR GPU since it's not written on the case.
222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Sapphire Radeon RX 590 8gb nitro+ SE Ethereum mining on: June 25, 2021, 03:09:26 PM
590s are power hungry GPUS for mining that's why many don't buy them for this purpose, most buy them for PC gaming and video editing stuffs, I bought one year ago thinking I can find a sweet spot to limit the power draw but my watt o meter shows 140 watt from the wall..don't believe what your mining software shows you

When i bought my 590, i tried it out without any undervolt/OC and the consumption was at around 170-180W. After the modifications it went down to 90-95 according to HWINFO.

In your case your processor and the other IO devices could consume the remaining wattage if you ask me.
I bet that's fake, you need to measure the exact power draw from wall and minus the CPU power/motherboard, that rx590 is a electricity monster lol 🤣 get a watt meter readings first
223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / When will GPU MSRP be back on: June 25, 2021, 02:08:39 PM
Can rx5700XT goes back to 600$? This was the actual price in my country last year December 2020 and I planned to build 6x rx5700XT rig for mining but I hesitated for no reason, im more than ready now but price remains high even while 60MH oy gives 3$+ presently, when will cards MSRP be back?
224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Too good to be true rig offer on: June 24, 2021, 07:13:46 AM
Probably a scam however its possible the guy became a crypto millionaire and just wants to get rid of his gear because the profitability isn't there anymore and he was wants to sell it fast. The profits have dropped alot in the past month or so and he rather sell while it still has value than get less for it in the future.

Either way, you should never meet some stranger at their place. Meet somewhere public like a coffee shop or police station since you are dealing with that much cash. However if you meet in public your issue will be that you can't test the GPUs since it'll be a hassle bringing a desktop with you. So there is the issue with the GPUs being damaged that way.

Sounds too good to be true...probably is.
I don't believe that, there is no such thing as too much money mate and even those who are millionaires through crypto still end up building crypto mining farm, this looks suspicious as hell probably stolen or it's a trap to lure someone indoor since they will have to test the rig, OP be careful
225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU confusion on: June 24, 2021, 07:10:34 AM
You can find the exact hashrate for this 3060ti LHR variant using the calculator dropped below and this card does have advantage on other algorithms like Ergo for example, this card can do 3$ per day on Ergo mining while the ETH is just 30MH @ 120 watts

226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are some miners quitting already ? on: June 24, 2021, 07:07:12 AM
In some countries electricity bill is very high so once ETH mining reward goes lower they have to stop mining, to keep mining electricity bills must be convenient for miners, things will get worsen once EIP1559 takes place in July this year but I have no problem with it because I'm using solar energy
227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPUs are not being sold as fast as used to be on: June 22, 2021, 07:43:44 AM
ETH mining will soon be over because nothing lasts forever, atleast we've enjoyed this moment for many months already if my calculations is correct ETH mining have been profitable since DeFI start it's hype in 2020, the best time to build a mining rig is bear market if you can take your eye off the lower profits and of cos if you have free/cheap electricity
228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Anyone Mining using regular silent pc for long term mining ? on: June 21, 2021, 07:13:56 AM
Silent and powerful? Rtx3080 and 3090 fits the best 🤔 but extra cooling will require fans which will increase noise I believe, but honestly if you can go for mid powerful GPUs mostly Nvidia cards they are silent when mining, I use 3 gtx1660 ti and they are quiet unless you OC the fan speed.

230  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Not everyone can be lucky when it comes to shitcoins on: June 06, 2021, 07:00:31 AM
All we keep hearing about is a guy who invested 100$ in meme coin and go home with 100,000$ but no one is talking about those guys who invested 10,000$ in meme coins and go home with zero $ , the truth is many losses more money than those who win investing in meme coin, it's like buying your fantasies when you know that your chances are very slim, meme coins are shitcoins but many don't want to accept just because someone make 100,000$ off the shitcoin haha
231  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: mining on an average pc on: June 05, 2021, 05:57:24 AM
I'm still using a core2duo motherboard for mining, it has 4 pcie slots so I get four risers with four gtx1660 supers, till date the GPUs are still mining away with no problem, other configurations 👉 2GB Ram 600watt PSU
232  Other / Archival / Re: Are there risks with GPU mining? 144% roi on: June 05, 2021, 05:54:03 AM
No any risk, just but GPU and get profit every day!(joke)
Today you mine 1 ETH per day. It costs $2800. You decide to sell it tomorrow and ETH price change and it costs $1000.
Your PSU burst up and burned 5 GPUs. Yesterday you mined 1 ETH, today - 0.1ETH. And no more ETH until you repair it.

Its just 2 examples of risks you will get every day.
PSU can burst up and bring down GPUs with it? I've never seen this happened before and I've been mining for a very long term, maybe it's possible on Chinese OEM PSU I can't say but I use Corsair power supply
233  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Full of get-rich-quick opportunities at Bitcointalk on: June 04, 2021, 05:46:34 PM
Don't expect to get this lucky next time OP you will surely lose your hard earned money to scam project because you lack doing your own research and instead follow those that shill coins for unknown reasons
234  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you still on NFT's? on: June 04, 2021, 05:43:50 PM
NFT are promising and they are new type of use case in crypto space that many have been wishing for, earning in gaming token are now easier than ever through NFT, there is no way this is not a good plan if you decide to hold for long term because billions of people plays game either on phone or other gadgets
235  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My electricty bill is through the roof. Got 15 gpus. CA on: June 03, 2021, 06:36:57 AM
If your electricity bill is growing too high all you have to do is reduce your energy consumption, fell two or three GPU and keep mining with the rest or if you have some money then build a solar energy instead, this is what I use
236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Laptop RTX 3070 ETH 65MH/S at @130W on: June 03, 2021, 06:31:23 AM
How is this better than RTX3070 desktop version? Because the desktop version can do 61MH too at even lesser power draw of 117 watts, isn't that beautiful? The only thing you have to be worried about us temperature, a laptop with rtx3070 mining 24hrs every day will worn out pretty quick
237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU miners still buying cards? on: June 03, 2021, 06:28:02 AM
rtx3080ti and 3070ti I do not recommend buying, because they are very expensive and have an underestimated hash rate.
I will buy new graphics cards, but I will wait for Ethereum to change its algorithm. Only then will the massive sale begin. At the end of the year, there will be more information about Ethereum and then it will be possible to start selling older video cards.
Just yesterday read that Buterin announced that PoS will be not sooner than 2022. And if even he says about 2022, i think we can wait 2023-24.
New GPUs series may include LHR, i think that it is one more reason to wait price dump - to wait until it will be hacked.
Where did you get this news from? Can you share me the link? Vitalik buterin is a joke lol I knew they will postpone again, the only update im sure about is the EIP1559 and that's because ETH gas fee is a issue that's affecting the project itself, ETH team don't keep promises lol
238  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: GPU price might increase more or not on: June 02, 2021, 02:58:13 PM
"NVIDIA Announces Financial Results for First Quarter Fiscal 2022
Record revenue of $5.66 billion, up 84 percent from a year earlier
Record Gaming revenue of $2.76 billion, up 106 percent from a year earlier
Record Data Center revenue of $2.05 billion, up 79 percent from a year earlier"
https://nvidianews.nvidia.com/news/nvidia-announces-financial-results-for-first-quarter-fiscal-2022
So far, video card manufacturers have huge profits. And the price of ethereum went up again

And yet Nvidia is reducing the mining power of their new graphic cards, honestly is GPU mining goes down Nvidia market will suffer, they should be thanking Vitalik buterin for ETH mining lol 🤣, RTX3080Ti and 3070Ti are coming I hope they won't do same shit they did with RTX3060 with this ones
239  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How true is this? on: June 02, 2021, 09:38:55 AM
I was reading through chia coin channels today and I saw something so confusing and hard to believe, chia coin owner is the same man behind bittorrent project but why named him the best network protocol engineer alive? Is this true?

240  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin listed on Coinbase pro on: June 02, 2021, 06:59:34 AM
Doge coin deserves it because it's a old crypto coin now, I think as old as BTC if I'm correct, what I would like to share is everyone should remember that doge coin is a meme coin, there is no utility or use cases to this project and it's impossible to add one now so be smart and know what you are doing
