Whatever the case... I am sure Payb.tc will get his coins from Pirate soon, and if not... then it has been a wild ride on the seven seas !  Grin
604  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 31, 2012, 02:44:33 PM
because maybe this time the re-investments weren't enough to pay the interest on the other BS&T accounts

But bitcoinmax always reinvests something, and a lot of the smaller BS&T lenders don't.  So it would still make sense to pay out bitcoinmax first.

btw... are you now saying this is a ponzi Huh

I personally don't know what it is.  It looks a lot like a ponzi, but maybe there's some magic money-making business going on at BS&T that I don't understand.

Whether BS&T is a ponzi or whether it's putting the borrowed bitcoins to work, it's plausible that it wouldn't have lots of spare coins sitting around waiting to be paid out on Mondays, so the delays in interest payment are explicable whether or not it's a ponzi.

If I had to bet on whether it's a ponzi or not, I'd bet that it is.  But I wouldn't be sure of winning.
usagi states that :"FOO.PPT paid, imsaguy paid, YARR paid!" Guess only payb.tc is missing the payments, but it's only 9.04 at Texas now. Give the man some time.  Wink

Goat hasn't been paid yet either.... Pirate is still asleep after his Vegas partying days  Cheesy
605  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: [BitcoinMax.com] Paying 6.9% per week... Small accounts welcome. on: July 31, 2012, 01:51:40 PM
Bitcoinmax paid out interest but only accountingwise as nothing went in the blockchain ?

Mine at least has gone but never actually entered any block.

Whats about you guys?

payb.tc paid interest on paper, but not on the blockchain.

pirate paid all his lenders except payb.tc.

payb.tc can't and won't pay his lenders until pirate pays payb.tc.

payb.tc has a lot of coins with pirate, and so gets a lot of interest each week.

Pirate probably needs new investment before he can pay the interest.  10K BTC should cover it.

the first wave of late payments is not a good sign
if i had funds invested  i would bail out now
its pretty obvious that the people on the last couple of levels are not going to get their principal back never mind any interest

Last week bitcoinmax was one of the first to be paid by BS&T.  59% of the interest paid to bitcoinmax was immediately reinvested in BS&T, and that reinvestment was then used to pay the interest on other BS&T accounts.

I wonder why the same scheme wasn't used this week since it worked so well last week.

because maybe this time the re-investments weren't enough to pay the interest on the other BS&T accounts

btw... are you now saying this is a ponzi Huh

You have to actually make a deposit, thats the catch.
Secondly, there are no guarantees, its 100% risk.
So do I lose the initial deposit and only receive the weekly interest in return?

Is this in any way not a pyramid scheme?

Also if you want to play in the pool but think you might drown then check out the PPT.x bonds on the GLBSE which are partially insured.

Go with the pirate and be prepared to sail the 7 seas !!!

No POOL here matey Grin

Thank you.

Wow ! Thanks

Today's daily coupon has been paid @ 0.735% of IPO price.

Thank you.

Note: Another large day-over-day jump in bonds sold has caused this dip in payouts. Returns still look excellent. Once the initial 5000 bonds are in the hands of investors I will likely wait 5-7 days before releasing any more, to allow the rate to stabilize & get a good idea of the average return without new money complicating matters.

All sold out !

Will the next batch be sold at 0.10 as well ? Or at progressively higher rates ?

Meanwhile: a 51% attack will drive up difficulty through the roof

Once BTCXpress is done proving his point we are stuck with a high difficulty

People will lose interest and it will take weeks to get difficulty back down

Take a look at what happened to NMC last year, as soon as it became profitable to mine vs BTC difficulty would skyrocket... leaving regular NMC miners with the aftermath

Took 10 weeks to get through the next block-cycle last 2016 blocks before merged mining....

Just saying....

Hi,

Im trying to figure out how much I'd get paid with 10 BTC each week if it lets say stuck at this price?

10 BTC = 100 shares @ 0.1BTC

Dividend = 0.1 * 0.0084 = 0.00084 BTC /shares/day

So for 10BTC = 100 * 0.00084 * 7 = 0.588 BTC

And since his dividend rate fluctuates, I like the fact that he updates why it is up or down....
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ATTN Litecoin GPU Miners - Scrypt support for cgminer on: July 23, 2012, 04:03:31 PM
Running this
Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt --url http://coinotron.com:8322 --userpass xxx:xx -D -T

gives me continuously running text, which i cant able to read in windows 7, 64 bit

Seeing as it is cgminer you might want to try:

Code:
cgminer.exe --scrypt -o http://coinotron.com:8322 -u xxx -p xx

--url and --userpass are not cgminer options afik

The stats page a few days ago has started to take a long time to load. 1-2 minutes. Sometimes a refresh is necessary. Anyone else had this issue?

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=60717.msg1030653#msg1030653

Clipse: The webstats search is at times extremely slow and may also timeout due to the way its processing shares and pulling it from DB atm combined with the large sharecount.

All I can say right now is that either try again if it times out or wait for it while its loading, end of payment cycles everyone will get the correct sharecount payout as usual and as long as you submit shares then they will be counted.

Please try to avoid continuously hammering the search, it is what it is right now and hammering it wont make it load faster.
618  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ Bonus PPS Pool - 110% ] - Public Beta - WAITING LIST OPEN on: July 15, 2012, 01:08:31 AM
This was the last post about the changes and next payment: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=60717.msg1012934#msg1012934

3. There will be payment cycle correction the first time around running from 8 July 00:00:00 - 17 July 23:59:59 and paid out by the end of Wednesday July 18 which will be the new payment cycle payout day of the week.

4. Once the first correction is done the payment cycle will then run once a week from each Wednesday 00:00:00 - next coming Tuesday 23:59:59 so that payment will allways go out by the Wednesday night. Example for first payment cycle after the correction of payment cycle: July 18 00:00:00 - July 24 23:59:59, paid out by the end of Wednesday July 25. This comes out to a 7day cycle rather than 8days and keeps each consecutive payment date the same.

Thx, guess I was too lazy to digg up that old post  Wink
