Ah well........ business as usual over there...

Still no LTC payout for a day, next (new) support ticket:
#408874 Again "Awaiting_Approval" for LTC withdraw

And the waiting game starts again. Sad

Hacky

P.s.: At least, it's only a hand full of bucks and not a lot of bucks with the last few holdings i have there....
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][EXCHANGE] Poloniex - Crypto Exchange with BTC/NXT on: August 27, 2017, 01:14:37 AM
Have you replied to that ticket (48 days pending) after creating it?

6 times.   but I'm not sure if replying to it helps it or puts it back at the end of the queue.

I think, you don't need to just reply but actually click on the update button on the right side too....

At least, that's what i got from the howto i linked in this thread a few posts back....

Good luck!

It's like, all these exchange owners, operators and CEOs are like banksters.

Except, they are not so strict regulated by law .... and they don't get big government bailouts but if one get's robbed (hacked or whatever), if we want some sort of bailout, whe have to pay it by ourself......

Yip .... if risky or just unprofessional .. i don't longer care about them.

The last few litecoin are now on withdrawal, 'Awaiting Approval' as usual, i think they will at least take 2 or more weeks to get that done .. but well..... its just a few pennies, most of my holdings are out there since few weeks..

Code:
Estimated value of holdings: $16.39 USD / 0.00376723 BTC

That's still way to much to hold over there.

But it just some Doge coins and some Stellar .. i let them just 'work for me' in lending Wink ... i do not expect to gain really much with that anyways (except doge will make a new high maybe).

I can not recommend poloniex to anyone actually ..... which is _really sad_.

Poloniex has about $10K of my money and I am unable to get it out of the exchange.  Moreover, I have proof someone inside the company is engaging in insider trading and manipulating the market.  Poloniex doesn't respond to tickets.   Angry

Heh .. i would not surprise me at all .. but i'd like to see some proof about that...

Because ... that would be surely a reason to sue them and take them down in the long run....

Heya people .....

I've mined a while on multipool .. not to much as i only have 2 older Antminer S1 .. but.

Well ... payouts are at least "strange"... Since they added BCH to the pool, i was happy and switched my miners back over there .... but i did not get _any single bch satoshi_.

Mails to the admin/support mailadress are still not answered at all..

What's going on there??

By the way ... i think i know why my account was flagged for manual approval..

I tried to get Level 2 verification .... which was all ok except _one_ point.

They said, my selfie with my id card was unreadable... So they was unable to verify that i are who i am..... because of what?!?

What the heck do they think? My ID card is in the size of a standard credit card.

How are i am supposed to get this fucking dumb request fullfilled?

HOW can they put me on manual approval for every single fucking transaction out of the exchange even if i not even _NEARLY_ have enough value to reacht the limits?

It's just ...... crap.

They do what ever they want ..... and not what they're supposed to do according to their own terms of use....

Anyway ... as i said, i have most of my holdings out there .... the remaining few satoshis are now mostly idling because the interest rates on margin lending are completely down below any usable value...

So .. well .... i'm out of this game.....

Ah there's a poloniex ann thread here. I haven't visited poloniex yet since they screwed that stellar distribution on bitcoin holders. To make the story worst bittrex suddenly  gave their bitcoin holders their fair share.
About stellar (lumens) free giveaway to all bitcoin holders back then, Poloniex already mentioned if they didn't support this giveaway. When they said that, you could withdraw your money and move it into a place with support lumens giveaway on that time.

Yeah, they said the same thing about the BCash/BTC fork.... Gues what happened to me..

I made a withdraw order for my btc at 2017-07-31 @ around 13:00 UTC...

It took 2 weeks for them to fullfill that order....... And no, i still did not get the corresponding BCH to my account (and i believe, i never will get them...)

So .... it's completely FUBAR Sad

What do you consider 'abusive complaints'? And, are you really sure, you want to say, we should be quiet so that busoni will not possibly run away with our money because we wrote "to many abusive complaints"?

If i may ask; in which world are you living, that this is considered to be a reason at all for you?

Sorry i really don't understand you.

Well you obviously haven't been involved in crypto-currency very long because that is exactly what has happened dozens of times. Many people have started crypto-currency companies hoping to get rich, when the  complaints and legal threats started some of them thought it was all too hard and either shut down the company or ran away with the money. This happened with Mindpal, Cryptsy, ActiveMining, BASIC Mining just to name a few.

A legitimate complaint is legit ... and not abusive. IMHO

It doesn't matter if you think your complaint is legit or not, what are you going to do when they black-list you, run away with the money or go out of business? Are you going to fly over too the US and try to claim your .5 LTC? good luck with that. Most people got nothing back from Cryptsy and even if they did it was only a fraction of what they were owed. They also had to join the class action and wait a couple of years to get anything at all.

Any FinTech - even Cryptop FinTech - company which is not able to fullfill any contract or IOU in time would get in very big trouble, if they're solely based on Fiat Money. But as soon as one goes on cryptocoins, that seems to change completely.
...
I always thought, as a business owner, you have contracts with your customers to fullfill, regardless of the volume of earnings any single customer brings you.... But that might be just some "german thing" .. dunno of other countries think about this in any way different. Wink

Bingo you profoundly realized something. This is not fiat land, the laws DO still apply but justice is very RARE and it takes years to get any kind of legal resolution if you have a dispute. So unless you want to spend years fighting for your pennies, the only option is to be firm but fair (and try to be nice) with these people when you raise a ticket. That's not a matter of justice, that's a matter of common business sense.

If all of your withdrawals have been automatically flagged by the system then that suggests to me that either the exchange is deliberately trying to stop a bank run OR they have black-listed your account.. maybe your constant negative posts had something to do with that?, who knows.. I don't know because I am not them.. All I am saying is, wait till you get your coins out and then make as many public complaints as you want.. It's no good doing that before you get your money back because if they are petty then they will simply go all defensive and delay your withdrawals even longer.

Its common sense really.

A lot of nice and valid arguments ..... but it seems i already have a lot of experience with a lot of sites _and_ a lot of scammers and just poor people whose ideas did not work out.

I have, or used to have, accounts on: mcxnow, btc-e, mtgox, btcjam, bitlendingclub, ardeva, littlefunds, scrypt.cc, btct.co, cryptostocks.com, cryptoxchange, WeExchange/BitFunder, bitmit, bitcoinera, coinlenders..

Just to name a few....

I have around 350~400 Arbitration Awards lying around here and don't ask me how much "dust" is still in some wallet somewhere ..... Or at least, it _was_ considered dust and now get again considered dust because of the painful high transaction fees......

Yeah, you are completely right, making the man who is sitting on your money is never a good idea...

But i tend to say loudly what my experience is ... because, i saw _SO_ many quietly run away with the money of so many users.... And _ALWAYS_, a _ton_ of people came up after shit hit the fan and most of the coins are already lost.

So .... no, being quiet and trying to not make somebody angry or nervous is just a way to help _exact these people to keep on scam more people_.

Instead, if something goes wrong, the very best one can do, for _all parties_ is clear full disclosure....

At least, in my "just to name a few" list above, you will find one or another site/service/exchange, which got into very stormy waters but where the man or team behind it at least tried to recover any losses of the users.

_That_ is something, which gives you way better trust in any party that just silence from out of nowhere... Wink

And in this context, poloniex still did no one get down in the long run ... but what they actually do is _REALLY WORSE_ and goes more and more in the direction a Mark Karpeles took..........

By the way, my 2 Litecoin transactions finally made it into the chain earlier this day...

So, all i have left on poloniex is less than 0.009BTC in value ..... i will let that work as long as the site exists and until one of my "portfolio coins" reaches a nice value to sell it off......

In the meantime .... if i see things going wrong, i will say sat .. loud and clear ...... so that everbody is able to make his own picture from as many details, reports and reviews as possible...................

I never learned to keep quiet and stand still if "one does wrong things", i've learned to stand up for my stuff. Wink

Maybe, some others should try that too. Wink

I agree that is just silly! but its also equally silly to spend all day complaining about 0.5 LTC  Grin

All day complaining? Lol?
What i'm complaining about is, that since my very first withdraw back in 2017-07-31 every single withdraw i requested put my coins in limbo.
every single one

It's to a good idea to get angry at them.. I have read some people claim that their account was black-listed which means that it might end up more painful for you to withdraw in the future.
I don't know if that is true but still not a good idea to get angry at the guy who is holding your money.

I think one of the main reasons why Big Vern (from Cryptsy) ran away with all of the money on Cryptsy was because he got tired of dealing with all of the abusive complaints.

What the?!??

What do you consider 'abusive complaints'? And, are you really sure, you want to say, we should be quiet so that busoni will not possibly run away with our money because we wrote "to many abusive complaints"?

If i may ask; in which world are you living, that this is considered to be a reason at all for you?

Sorry i really don't understand you.

A legitimate complaint is legit ... and not abusive. IMHO

I had times wherre i was unable to withdraw some 0.00*BTC from an "stock exchange" which was going out of business.
The owner of the site told me "stop whining, thats just pennies"... Well, back then, they were only pennies.

But that can change and one considering any IOU as "unimportant" because "it's just pennies" should never have had any business of this type at all. One who can not respect the ownership on something because it is not enough worth in his eyes, is somebody who should never have had any trust from users at all.

IMHO ... just saying.

So, to come back to the point where you say:

I don't know if that is true but still not a good idea to get angry at the guy who is holding your money.

I don't know? I tend to get angry at people who are doing the wrong things or are doing nothing at all.
What i don't understand is, where you think, i made abusive complaints or where i'm bitching around about all this "all day". Wink

In effect, i even "did give them a bit of service by clarifying things up over here" about which timezone they use. I answered questions from users about their chances to get BCH from BTC they had in lending.....

I don't get it, where one might consider that as complaining all day or even make "abusive complaints". Really. Wink

Any FinTech - even Cryptop FinTech - company which is not able to fullfill any contract or IOU in time would get in very big trouble, if they're solely based on Fiat Money. But as soon as one goes on cryptocoins, that seems to change completely.

I don't understand that. I mean, we're not talking about some darkweb exchanges, marketplaces or coinmixers, we're talking about a legit US based company which has to pay a lot of taxes and abide a lot of regulations but still earns thousands of US Dollars each day.

I always thought, as a business owner, you have contracts with your customers to fullfill, regardless of the volume of earnings any single customer brings you.... But that might be just some "german thing" .. dunno of other countries think about this in any way different. Wink

So in the end .... what the? Where did i make abusive complaints at all? Wink
(and do you find any complaint from before 2017-07-31? Wink)

Heh .... sorry people, but i have to post this.....

With all the trouble i had and have with polo ... they are not the only ones having trouble from time to time, but they're one of the most "infamous" ones because of that.... I have to quote the article on that:

Quote

Every time we see some major cryptocurrency trading action, the same exchanges suffer from issues. In most cases, the platform having issues is either Poloniex or Kraken. For some unknown reason, neither company is capable of handling large amounts of volume.

From http://www.livebitcoinnews.com/bitcoin-cash-trading-frenzy-highlights-major-infrastructure-issues-kraken-exchange/

A online relative of mine told me about some losses with his trading engine because of some hickups on kraken..... well..

But anyway .... poloniex still did not send my litecoin.......

Nuff said.

If its a large amount of litecoin did you try asking them to cancel the withdraw?
Withdrawal requests get flagged for Manual approval above a certain threshold so it might be quicker to get them to cancel it and then submit it again as a bunch of smaller withdrawals.
Also enable 2FA if you haven't, I have read many comments stating that if you enable 2FA it will reduce the likelihood of a manual withdraw flag. It makes sense because then your account is less vulnerable to hacking.

Hi guys.

I had BTC in Polo on 1st August in my lending account and I lent them to other people.

Do you think it's completely out of the question that I'll ever receive BCH for that those BTC? If yes - why?

Just read the press release, this was somewhat clearly communicated from Poloniex back in March this year..

Another update: At least it seems they fixed the withdrawal issue (webcrawlers on poor mailclients possibly automatically approve withdrawals w/o user interaction).

https://www.reddit.com/r/BitcoinMarkets/comments/6uj01v/poloniex_has_upgraded_their_withdrawal_page/

Quote
In times past, Poloniex use to greet you with an 'Withdrawal Approved' message after you clicked the link on the email confirmation message. Now, you must click to confirm the withdrawal again on their site before approval. I believe this is in response to a recent complaint that email message preview panels would approve email withdrawals without direct consent. Great job for the Polo team.

What the?

Bad acting polo......... at all..
