A lot of people are focused on the bots. I was too when I first bought leonardo (quite some time ago). I have found that I barely use the bots but I will never again trade on exchange websites. The leonardo interface is amazing!! I run leonardo with multiple markets on one screen and trading view on the other.

Having a visual drag-and-drop interface is far better than a bot in every way.

I totally and strongly have to second that. Even if i use the bots a lot, just for the time i can't sit down and trade manually, i just like the UI at all and it feels so weird and complicated to trade on the webinterfaces.

Yeah, it's such a good trading terminal at all ...... and the bots are a good bonus on top of that, when you have to go outside but don't wanna miss possible gains in the meantime. Wink

In the short time i own a leonArdo license, i learned _way more_ about trading strategies and the markets as in the years before i found it. And to be honest, i barely ever made trades which gave me a profit at all, which changed completely since i use leonardo. Wink

I just like it. Wink

I can understand that you feel a bit nervous but .. well as i said, it was sunday CEST, and in germany, we tend to _not_ work at all on sunday. Wink

I'm sorry for asking, but who are you ? or have some relation to leonArdo

No problem, you're welcome!

No i'm not affiliated with leonArdo or marginsoftware.de at all, at least not right now.

I'm a customer who has bought the software just .. hhmm. a week ago or so. I have some special needs which made trading very hard for me and this tool makes some things way easier for me.

Besides that, i'm in somewhat close communication with their support and did apply for a part-time job, but was not able to get my CV together actually.

So ... no, i'm not affiliated with them but i think i might me able to collect some bits of information about leonArdo and in this process generate some pages of documentation or at least a FAQ for it. Wink

Regards,

hacky

P.s.: Maybe my review will make things more clear for you: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1467939.msg21582958#msg21582958 Wink
Tell me, after payment how quickly they send the bot ??

Well, i got my confirmation email within 4 hours ... the updated software was aviable just an hour later.

Remember, they are located in germany (Timezone CEST = UTC +2hrs) and the support mail account is only read in the daytime and not necessarily at night. So, depending on your timezone, it _might_ look like they don't answer in short time.

Please be a bit patient... I just bought another license this night and already have an email telling me that they received it and will provide an updated bot asap. I think i will get it within the next 4 to 6 hours. Wink

It's 08:06 a.m. CEST right now .. so i think, they just arrived at their offices, gettin some cup of coffee and read the (hopefully not so big) backlog on their emails. Wink

I think you will get your license soon, within this day. Wink

Usually i'd like to keep the original data because otherwise it's somewhat complicated to try this on your own w/o the original url, but as is it just a simple email adress and a captcha you need to fill in, that should be not the biggest problem at all. Wink
190  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] leonArdo - Bitcoin Trading Bot for Poloniex, Bittrex, Bitstamp, Bitfinex.. on: September 10, 2017, 07:36:00 PM

Its ok if you discuss it here, we would like to hear about these flaws, this is an open forum and we should discuss everything, good, bad and ugly. That is the only way to improve things.

I agree, its a simple bot with only 2 strategies, regular ping pong is too rigid to be useful in dynamic crypto market, margin maker is better but confusing partly because there is no in depth tutorial that explains how it works and how it should be used, what settings etc.

[---snip---]

Yah, i could use a bit more documentation too. As i'm getting more familiar with the software i'm thinking about writing a bit of FAQ or maybe even writing some stuff in a wiki or so.

So if anyone want some more info on specific things, i can at least try to answer some questions.

By the way, most stuff within the gui has bubble popups with a description to a button or entry field.

Maybe, before i go on to set up some strange server or services, maybe Jonathan can provide something for that?

(Well, i can simply put that into a pastebin or google docs document maybe, if that is no problem. Wink)

Any ETA on the fix, is only the demo affected or the paid release too is affected?

Ty

Paid version runs fine over here, 40hrs uptime and counting. Wink

What does bot do in bear market when btc goes down 20% + and alts 30%?

Watch the mArgin maker tutorial video, if you allow it to have some negative effective gain, it can adapt to bearish trends and get back to work for you as soon as the trend changes direction (or just can keep it working even if the prices have fallen some percent). Which the PingPong bot can't do by the way. Wink

This results in a bit of variance at all but allows it to work w/o the user steadily have to attend and readjust it.

The new demo version is unstable, crashing really often, OSX 10.12.6

Yes, we have to admit that the demo is unstable right now. A really nasty memory issue that randomly strikes and causes leonArdo to crash. It doesn't seem like the full version is affected.

We are working on a fix.

Best wishes,
Jonathan

I can confirm that. The demo crashed at least once every 24hrs (on a fresh and clean Windows 7 installation). It's a bit nasty but, well, support is on that and i will probably go a bit into that hunting it down on a separate machine. (just for curiosity. Wink)

But, it is only the demo version, the full/licensed version runs w/o any crashes at all (around 40hrs right now on my brand new license;)).

So ... yap, confirmed, the demo has some problems but that does not affect any paid license at all. 8-)

O.k. i was fairly new to trading software and bots at all and i have some "special needs" because of my ADHS which brought me a somewhat severe Dyscalculia which makes having a steady and clean overview a real hard task for me.

So i reached out to Jonathan to ask, how long one can 'play around' with the demo version (the answer is: virtually unlimited) and got my answers within 2 or 3 hours. Amazing!

So that makes leonArdo a really great tool to just play around and learn some basics in forex/crypto-trading, which is really nice on it's own.

leonArdo not only acts as a really nice trading terminal but it even gives you every bit of information you need for every single trade you plan to make, you can even directly see how much gain (or loss) you will make on any specific order, right before you send it of to the exchange. That's exactly what i needed! Very cool!

After some days playing around, trying the bots and getting familiar with the UI, i finally though, o.k. even if my holdings are not really that much so that i cannot expect to get my 'invest' in the software back within a day, i bought the license (for one exchange) and got it within hours too. Thanks Jonathan for being still at work that late for your customers.

Now, it's running on a (for now) dedicated laptop with some bots on a few pairs and, whoa, at least they made me half of the price back, i did not expect that at all but. Here we are.

It is a really great piece of software and every single penny worth.

In fact, i'm somewhat surprised that it is _that cheap_ at all, most similar solutions are way more pricey or you have to pay a monthly fee to use it.

I'm looking forward to get another license for the next exchange as soon as my holdings have reached a value where it makes sense to split them over to another exchange.  Cool

Even w/o the bots, it is just great! I love it! Wink

Update on this withdraw issue
Mkay .. poloniex still wanna f*ck me.....

But i'm not the one who let this happen w/o consequences.

So, the latest ticket i created was #389352, i got an email reply nearly _instantly_ and the reply brought it to the max for me.

Full disclosure over here: https://pastebin.com/DG3UFKvB

tl;dr: "Awaiting Approval" because of concerns about the security of my account... what the f??

So far so good, the remaining doge and bch can stay there ... that's no more than around 18$US .. nothing i urgently need or wanna do something about..

Still my advice is, avoid this exchange.

have fun.

Many people have earned a lot with Poloniex and continue day trading, without withrawing or only BTC, so everything is fine for them.

I'm still using the site, but have only left on it a sum I'm ready to lose if it all goes down in flames.

Well, i even had to wait weeks for a bitcoin withdrawal .. so .... nope, even bitcoins can cause trouble...

Maybe USDT may be a difference? but i don't think so...

So I don't think its time to panic just yet.. I think you just need to figure out how to escalate your ticket (either by contacting busoni/tristan or the arbitrator directly).

For anyone else reading this, you should probably only try to contact them directly if there is a huge amount of money stuck in withdraw awaiting approval.

Busoni/Tristan's linkedin https://www.linkedin.com/in/tristandagosta/

I can confirm that my withdrawal of BTC was finally processed after 22 days.
It took just over 1 week for the ticket to be auctioned.

So in my case they don't want to answer me due to my location?

I have a feeling that it is based upon location, amount of money involved and whether or not you are in a position to sue them.

One of the reasons for the delay might be that they are prioritizing tickets of high value customers and people who are about ready to sue them.
So if they do that then everyone else gets pushed down the ladder.

This is just speculation of course.

Yeah, it seems to me, that it is sadly just pure speculation and hope/wishes ....

Because, as i stated earlier in this thread, as german citizen having legal contracts with them, i would be able to sue them..

But that makes obviously no difference at all.

The point about high-volume customers might be a bit more bound to reality but i suspect even that to be only wishful thinking as i read about high volume customers and actually get approached by some.... We're talking about holdings in the 50k$ US class and bigger.......

Professional behaviour is anything else than that. Sad
