121  Economy / Scam Accusations / Beware 'LendingTree' on: May 06, 2014, 04:08:31 AM
Hi all,

I was involved in a loan with LendingTree.

The deal was:

I'd give him my daily 12x220 Riecoin payouts plus my current RIC holdings in exchange for a $1000 loan.

He responded quickly and was quite polite, until he had my coins.

Then it was one problem after another, then he claimed he had to 'go home cause his kids were there' and he had told me he came straight from work before.

To make a long story short, he took my collateral, strung me along for a few hours, then stopped responding.

If he decides to make good on this loan, I will remove this thread but I'm not holding my breathe. Please be careful.

It should also be noted I needed this loan for a rent payment on my apartment, which I can no longer pay and am evicted as of 9AM tomorrow morning.

When it rains it pours.

This is also posted in the Altcoin section and there's a lot more questions/answers in there for anyone interested.

Ok, I've had more than a few in-queries about this deal:

1. Unfortunately, I cannot do it for less than the asked for loan amount.. Please see #2
2. I cannot do the deal with more than one person, it would require me to reconfigure all my miners and do calculations to figure out how much each person would make. It will get too complicated

Again, thanks for all the interested queries! Im glad to see people are interested in Riecoin!!!

Loan is repaid in 6 days
Then the last two days is the $300 profit for a total of 8 days

Well, I'm looking for a $1000 loan, the return on that would be $300 in 8 days.

Hi,

I dont believe you're understanding the terms.

Please allow me to explain more clearly.

I am looking for a loan in either BTC or USD.

In return, I will set my Riecoin payout address to your address. You will receive approximately 12 220 RIC payouts every day until the loan is paid off.

Once the loan is paid off, I will continue to allow the miners to run towards that same address. This will be your payment, you will make approximately $300 for doing the loan.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

EDIT: Please note while I *will* accept BTC, I'd really prefer the lender use Moneygram/Western Union and pay with their credit/debit card. This way incase anything goes screwy, the lender still has the opportunity to charge back and save all their money. I just prefer this way because its safer for the lender.

Also, I would rather do the 12xRIC payouts a day, instead of one lump sum. I've found it gives lenders greater confidence when they are receiving payouts every day instead of waiting for one lump sum.

Im still open to giving you control of the account but I'm still thinking about it. I'm pretty sure no damage can be done... but I still need to think on it.
129  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / [$300 profit opportunity] Loan for mining payout [Got scammed, Still open!] on: May 05, 2014, 04:02:18 AM
EDIT: The lender who I was working with scammed me and stole my collateral, this offer is still open for anyone with TRUST ratings.

Hi,

Since I had a pretty damn good success doing this with my XPM wallet previously, I'm offering it again, except for Riecoin this time.

The long and short:

I currently make between $130-$150/day mining RIC (Riecoins). Once again, I am out of money until I get paid at the end of the month.

The deal:
You loan me money, I change my payout address to your RIC address. You get a 220 RIC payout every 2 hours (not exactly, sometimes its 1.4 hrs, sometimes its 2.2, but somewhere around there)
I mine to the address until you're paid back, at the end, I mine an extra 1-2 days (amount depends on how long we decide, terms are not set in stone)

So, in the end:
In the end you make an extra ~$280-300 USD in RIC (which you can easily sell for BTC if you want).

I can prove all my miner stats to you easily, I have trust on the forum. I'd also be willing to let you take control of the account *WHILE REPAYMENT IS IN PROGRESS*. The account will be returned to me at the end.

I know everyone wants collateral, which I am definitely not opposed to. But I'm not sure what you guys would want. Let me know.

As of writing this, I just received a 220 RIC payout and have around 600 unconfirmed.

Please also note, at the time of the loan, all RIC transferred out for the day will also be transferred to you. (For example, If we make a deal at like 11PM and I've already received like 2000 RIC for the day, they'd be transferred to you from my Mintpal account).

Thanks for lookin.

Edit: Well the guy who offered to do this for me appears to have scammed me, so its back open. Sigh

Wow, that is unbelievable.  So you're saying that someone called your hosting provider, posed as a Poloniex employee, and actually managed to convince the support staff to give them access to one of your servers?  Holy hell.  One would think there would be some authentication measure in place to prevent such a thing (there probably are, they just weren't followed).

Glad to hear you are taking your business elsewhere.

You'd be surprised man. Lots of times companies are so anxious to 1. get you off the phone 2. get issues handled quickly so they dont get bitched. Stuff slips through the cracks all the time. I used to work at a host and we had ZERO authentication methods when I started. Luckily I changed policy and made that impossible but some places just dont even think of it.

And for everyone reading my post, i was just joshing. I have full confidence in poloniex staff.

<3 Poloniex. I'm more worried about them as a company/exchange more than I'm worried about my own funds. I hope everything is OK

Why wont you answer below? If you are a genuine seller - no scams then you should have no problem answering below, no point in trying to add posts to move it to the previous page. I just post again.

BENANH HAS NO FEEDBACK FROM ANY BUYERS, LOTS OF CHAT - NO FEEDBACK, I HAVE REQUESTED FEEDBACK OR EVIDENCE OF PREVIOUS SALES, EVIDENCE OF A WALLET CONTAINING AT LEAST 100 BTC (HE CLAIMS TO DO MANY TRADES OF THIS SIZE) AND IT WAS NEVER SENT - PROCEED WITH CAUTION AND READ THE HISTORY OF THIS THREAD

No i do not trust you and think you are trying to setup some sort of scam... When I ask you where the feedback is all of a sudden Chungenhung (tagged a scammer) leaves you feedback.

Very coincidental you both have Vietnamese names as well. Your only feedback is from a Vietnamese named user who is tagged as a scammer Shocked

Its not me trolling its me ensuring people do not get scammed. If you are a genuine seller why can you not evidence these trades/wallets containing such large amounts of BTC?

Too many newbies scammed on here need advising how to proceed safely.

Successfully cashed Moneygram.

Seller did offer me a $5 credit due to the wait time.

I was definitely skeptical about this buyer but in the end, I am 100% satisfied with this transaction. Leaving feedback now.
