Hi,
Looking for between 8 and 10 2.5" SATA or SAS disks.
Need 600GB+ disks.
Can pay with Bitcoin or PayPal. Name your price. Will be used for a Bitcoin accepting service being launched in the near future.
Preferably 8x900GB 2.5" SAS, that'd be the tops.
Let me know what you have and your price.

Hi,
Just wanted to throw a quick review of this pool for everyone. --------
Some Statistics-- Time using pool: Roughly 1.5 weeks Total Paid Out: 252.79682 LTC
All Time Shares: 1627163 All Time Rejects: 743 (0.05%)
LiteGuardian has 3 pool servers now, US, EU, and Asia.
The Pros: 1. Responsive Admins 2. Custom User Interface (its pretty) 3. PPS with a fair fee 4. Fun community (#Liteguardian on Freenode) 5. Low reject rates (very very low) 6. Vardiff
The Cons: 1. Site stats update every ~15 min, but you can just use the IRC bot to get current stats
Ending Conclusion: I like this pool, a lot. I've currently rented out 65MH of my rigs to a friend and I have him mine here too. He's been nothing but pleased so far. He was on wemineltc before and he finds LiteGuardian much nicer. LiteG admins will also implement features for the pool if you ask (and if they're useful). For example, since the site is PPS, we get paid no matter what, regardless of blocks. However, I'm a bit of stats junkie so I wanted to know how many blocks we were actually solving per day. I asked -- 3 to 4 days later, I have block announcements at my fingertips as well as who solved them.
So, pretty sweet pool. Come mine with us... and join 'Team OTC' if you're a #bitcoin-otc user and help us fuck team 'Founders' in the goat ass.
Cordially yours, rapeghost

Hello,
I am wondering if anyone has any information on the whereabouts of 'rawrmage'? He is an ex-#Bitcoin-OTC on Freenode user who's been missing for roughly 52 weeks (according to the channel bot).
I apologize if this if off-topic for this section, however, I felt this would reach the highest amount of users.
If you have any information (Like: He's OK, just not online anymore, etc) please feel free to reply to this thread or contact 'rg' on freenode. If you're contacting me on Freenode, please use gribble's 'later tell' feature instead of messaging me as I do not log messages.
Cordially yours, The Electronic Rap Ghost.

Indeed, http://satoshiroulette.com/jackpot-dice.php?mode=LTC has always been more than fair to me (well, as fair as a casino can be )) Also, litecoindice.com is pretty good as well, but has a min bet of TEN (!!) LTC. So, if you wanna gamble but still want to be a coward, SatoshiRoulette is where its at rg

I'd also like to add that this guy's VPS was never shut off / disabled / touched during this whole thread.
I spend over 50 hours a week on BitVPS and forgive me for using one weekend to relax.
Now again, I'm asking you: Do you want a refund for this month or do you want to keep it active for the month you just paid for?
|
|
|
I don't know what to tell you, your payment gw was set to PayPal and I fixed it.
What else do you want from me?
|
|
|
So... How about we just terminate your VPS and I give you a refund?
|
|
|
can we PLEASE have a second port?
|
|
|
PPS, i just sent you a message with an explanation of why it didn't mark your payment paid. It's a simple billing mix up, you had 'paypal' set as your payment gateway. So the billing system will be waiting for BTC on the paypal gw, which obviously, can never complete (hopefully )

P.S. those are automated emails, no ones VM is deleted without manual intervention.

Hi, As you can see from BitVPS.COM, our billing system is wonked! We transferred to a fully automated billing system but it doesn't work with the way we do our nodes. We allow customers to select which node/location they want and the system has no concept of this, it just transfers you to the lowest usage node. So right now we're split between two billing systems, one with orders on the new one, one with orders on the old one. Had you contacted sales@bitvps.com or james@bitvps.com, you would've been accommodated. I can still help you, we dont need to 'keep' your money, we're here to provide a service.

No shit... Like i said BitVPS has no GLBSE data ... a million times. I wish to clarify that I did not ask for the data. rg specified in one of the 9,000 other threads that GLBSE had backups. It was easy to deduce from this that they were a BitVPS client. Since he had already violated the confidence of his client, and rg being a little confused about how computers work, I wanted to help clarify for him that if the application is running on one of the servers or instances that he managed, it is extremely likely that the data was local as well.
I do not advocate releasing the information to a single entity unless compelled by court or requested by GLBSE. I cannot see an upside.
mm. In bold is why, despite being a shareholder in BitVPS, I will not use the service. Having seen rg publicly disclose what I would consider to be confidential customer information (past due bills, accounts, and more) I have a certain lack of trust in rg's discretion (though, in truth, it seems to just be poor judgement, nothing sinister) Upside, or not, there's no good reason to do so without being legally compelled. IIRC, the services run on BitVPS were just front end (nginx?) proxies to the backend data servers which were not located at BitVPS - thus, likely no data cached or saved there. And i dont care so much about people trying to buy it, i just tell them to fuck off.
It's just annoying that when i said 'GLBSE has backups', reeses took that to mean that i copied the db and was bragging about it.
That shit is damaging to our companies rep cause people are stupid enough to believe him.
I never had access to the db and never wanted it.
Releasing information, inadvertently, in an attempt to calm the seething masses was your unwise move here, rg. What's damaging to your company is disclosing any information about your customers' services, accounts, or configurations without their explicit permission. It's damaging because you potentially leave someone with the wrong impression about how you operate the company, whether that person is like reeses, or like the person that subscribes to whatever impression reeses gave them about the situation. Releasing information is as simple as "GLBSE has backups" or ";;later tell $BitVPS_Customer Hey, you're 2 months late, we're going to shut off your services in XX days if you don't pay" - the latter (which I paraphrase from another episode I witnessed) discloses potentially very significant data (the customer company is in trouble, has no money, can't pay bills, might have already skipped, etc) You just can't continue to do this and expect there to be no repercussions.

whatever.
I was simply trying to curb the panic.

125 BTC -- top offer Umm.. Are you serious?
(and tried to buy it too)
So, how much are we talking about? Are these casual offers for 5btc or are these like 1000btc serious bribe level offers here?

A lot of people are scared, guru. When people get scared they tend to act out, like trying to get the GLBSE data, etc. They cant be blamed, its like a bunch of ants running from a flaming ant hill And, FWIW, it would be more than upsetting if BitVPS were to just hand over GLBSE data to some random asker(s).. WTF?!
I would hope that rg wouldn't hand that over without the proper court order from the proper authorities. The data do not belong to BitVPS, and to take them without the proper authority is, once again, theft.
It amazes me how quickly people react to theft, possible theft, loss, and possible loss, with requests for more thefts which would result in more losses. Again, WTF?!
And yes, the app worked, to my knowledge from speaking with nefario in the past, just as described above. Lack of speed was one of the primary features of GLBSE. Slowest damn website I'd been using.
