Just catching up on a bit of backlog and seen the thread and discussion going on here. I think the problem was 50 shares was being sent to the last historic share count of devtome where the user had not written any new content. That obviously needed to stop. Perhaps as there was disagreement for these funds to be sent to a user or group with no outline clearly explaining what the funds would be used for maybe burning the devcoins would have been a better option this round? As seems this has caused ctyx to feel the need to leave the dve community, this saddens after all the hard work I have seen ctyx produce recently for dvc. I should add for clarity that as like bitcoin, devcoin is open source, has no "official" leader or owner, rather we are a collective of people coming together to try create and share something we believe in enough to invest our time and effort into it. That said... the lead dev usually is the one driving the particular cryptocurrency as they are the one to implement the code changes and requests etc. If there is no lead dev then how is the project to develop and progress at all? I say this as ctyx is listed as the only Devcoin Developer on https://www.devtome.com/doku.php?id=devcoin_human_resources Fuzzybear Excellent brief about governance in Free Software projects FuzzyBear! Just let me add that I'm part of the Development team along Qtera. I don't know why I wasn't listed in the HR wiki, but you can see my commits to devcoin core here: https://github.com/devcoin/core/commits/masterWhatever..., take a breath tonight... tomorrow we have a lot of work to do for delivering round 99! Go go Devcoin!! - develCuy

UTB is right, DeVCoin is worth very little, but the accounting fees and risks are still high. It's a lot of hassle for little gain. I am resigning from DeVCoin. I will continue my roles until the next round.

Thanks for your time.Happy hunting out there

I'm pleased to announce that Traxo is becoming File Custodian from round 99! Also, we are looking for more File Custodian, if you can keep your mirror up & running against the Devcoin blockchain, and to stay always accountable for diligently syncing the receiver files when asked for, then you are the right fit! File Custodians have huge relevance to keep the blockchain operating properly. On every Devcoin round, there are 200,000,000 new Devcoins being paid progressively during the 4000 blocks that takes to complete a round. 10% of the new coins are paid to the miners wallet, the remaining 90% are distributed proportionally, according to the shares that each Devcoin address holds in the account file. See for example the account file from round 98 https://raw.githubusercontent.com/devcoin/accounting/master/account_98.csv which is nicely organized with all the shares per category and address. The account file is an input for the receiver file, which is like a kind of machine-code understood by Devcoin nodes, that way, new mined Devcoins know their way to the corresponding destination wallet. The receiver files need to be published somewhere, so that the running nodes can download them when syncing against the blockchain. Now that we understand what are the receiver files used for, we can realize the importance of having multiple mirrors to host them. Also, they all should be in perfect sync. Go go Devcoin! - develCuy

You should send a private message to whoever owns the DNS and changed it for you, instead of replying to my message. They might not see this message. I would help if I could, but you have taken it out of my hands. Good luck!

I do receive at the moment 3 ongoing shares: one as a wallet tester and two as Share administrator. I wish to move them to the OpsFund, so we can continue funding the project.
Thank you!

On every Devcoin round, there are 180,000,000 new Devcoins being paid progressively during the 4000 blocks that takes to complete a round. 10% of the new coins are paid to the miners wallet, the remaining 90% are distributed proportionally, according to the shares that each Devcoin address holds in the account file.
How many devcoins are there in total existence and how many will there be eventually?Bitcoin has only 21 million and people know this will not change making bitcoin sound hard money but with devcoin it looks like it being something that is just inflationary making it a foolish investment as the coins you buy only depreciate as more are created indefinitely or is there a hard cap?Why would anyone buy such a coin?

How many devcoins are there in total existence and how many will there be eventually?
Currently around 19,614,407,500 DVC in existence. You can check here also: https://chainz.cryptoid.info/dvc/#@inflationBitcoin has only 21 million and people know this will not change making bitcoin sound hard money but with devcoin it looks like it being something that is just inflationary making it a foolish investment as the coins you buy only depreciate as more are created indefinitely or is there a hard cap?Why would anyone buy such a coin?
Block minting rate of 50,000 coins per block is a constant ( people know this will not change), and Devcoin's inflation percentage asymptotically trends to 0, thus Devcoin is as deflationary as bitcoin.

Clearly approaches zero for infinity. Traxo gets 7 merits for the maths. Still top choice for dev, only he’s too busy on Stuff++.
