181  Economy / Exchanges / Re: MtGox withdrawal delays [Gathering] on: September 04, 2013, 03:27:30 PM
Still have International wire to US outstanding from June 25th.. Yes June 25th.. heading towards (3) months since transfer was requested..

I, like many others, have open support tickets, but keep getting the "we're sorry, please wait longer" response. Here's the response I got on 8/30.

Quote
Thank you for your waiting and your patience. We are sorry to inform you that we do have updates only as informed through earlier mails and we are not able to provide an ETA on any transactions.

Since we are clearing many pending withdrawals by increasing the transaction speed we do hope that your withdrawals will also be cleared soon without much of the waiting.

Best regards,

Mt.Gox Team

The cynic in me is starting to believe they just don't have the cash, and are waiting to get enough.. .panic causing insolvency. Mid July I bought coin (at a loss) and pulled all my money out (except my outstanding transfers) that way. I don't trust Gox any more.

Like this these, playing on the shared national heritage with Saab:

Code:
Born from Jets!
We don't make promises, we make bitcoins.
KNC - It's what a miner should be.

Couple ideas:

Code:
Bitcoin Inside!

Gold Plated Pickaxe

Obviously Vaporware...

There's an axe for that..

^^^ happened to me today too. BFGminer complained about individual cores being "sick". Avg temps <60C.

Sorry BFGminer, back on the shelf, cgminer returns for now. Will wait another few months and try bfgminer again.

186  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: BFL ASIC Firmware & Hardware, Understanding & Optimization on: August 21, 2013, 06:52:13 PM
Thanks for the great post.. some of the same conclusions I've reached myself.

-- 60GH singles are already using 'binned' A-grade chips, so there's very little room to turn them up. almost not worth trying.

-- default cooling is decent, but doing it yourself is much better. I had a failed fan out of the box, so I had to replace fans day-0. I took some Scythe 120x38MM fans I had laying around from projects, and replaced the stock ones.  Dropped my average temps by 10-15C under load. (To BFL's credit, they had a replacement fan to me within 3 days... kudos to BFL_Jody)

Code:
 BAS 0:  max 57C 3.27V | 61.05G/61.08Gh/s | A:48188 R:280 HW: 73 WU: 855.5/m
 BAS 1:  max 61C 3.28V | 60.47G/60.50Gh/s | A:50282 R:218 HW:116 WU: 845.0/m

-- worth mentioning and pesky -- the 6-pin PS connectors CANNOT mate with most 8-pin pin VGA power headers. Wish they'd left a little room between connectors to allow either 6 or 8-pin to be used.

-- subzero then powerup : haven't tried this trick, but Jally owners have done the "double-bag the jally, put it in the fridge for 30 minutes, take it out, power it up, and get much better hashrates" trick

I'm curious if anyone has taken the 92MM fans off the top, and just gone with the 120MM.. Fluid dynamics/vortex maybe work better?
187  Economy / Services / Re: anyone interested in MTGOX withdraw service? on: August 12, 2013, 06:09:53 AM
given MtGox current paralyzed status, I could see charging 1% or more for the service easily.

yes, interested.

it's the 100TH project coming online me thinks...
189  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Holy 50Thash batman! on: August 07, 2013, 05:58:32 PM
I'd agree with you if it hadn't stayed up.. it's 320Thash today as well.

190  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Holy 50Thash batman! on: August 07, 2013, 05:38:41 PM

not sure if anyone else noticed, but overnight, from 8/5 to 8/6, the network-wide hashrate jumped from 279Thash to 329Thash..  That's a 50 Terrahash jump overnight.. 50 TH!

Any one want to field guesses/estimates/take-credit for the jump?

191  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL ASIC SINGLE - 60GH/S - (In Hand) 93BTC Buy It Now O.B.O. on: August 06, 2013, 09:44:18 PM
Is this still available? Because I must say, I am a bit disappointed with the BFL SCs - the 60GHs ... can't even do 60GHs! If it's still available I will do 25BTC on this.

Unless you have one... I wouldn't comment:

Code:
BAS 0:  max 59C 3.26V | 61.02G/61.01Gh/s | A:2394345 R:8248 HW:3833 WU: 852.9/m
BAS 1:  max 60C 3.27V | 60.55G/60.47Gh/s | A:2401049 R:8272 HW:5474 WU: 844.5/m

Mine are doing just fine, thank you.

192  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ANUBIS - a CGMINER Web Frontend on: August 04, 2013, 08:25:49 AM
Doesn't support 'desired' hashrate over 9999 mhash... which means any of the faster ASICs show up funny..

Trying, but unsuccessful so far.

Welcome to Mt.Gox Live Chat Support
<ME>
Good morning <MT GOX CS>
<MT GOX CS>
Hello
<ME>
I'm hoping you can help me.
<ME>
I have a withdrawal from 6/2x.
<ME>
still not showing up in my bank
<ME>
??
<MT GOX CS>
Checking your account,could you wait for a minute
<ME>
sure.
<ME>
I would like to withdraw more, but I'm not about to start another one, with the first one not processed.
<ME>
and with dwolla shut down, I'm running out of options. I may have to stop using Gox if I can't ever get money in our out.
<MT GOX CS>
We have already resumed wire transfers to speed up the withdrawal process in queue. When your queue comes your withdrawal will be processed and credited into your account soon.
<ME>
I'm sorry that's not an answer.
<ME>
How far back am I? How many are you doing a day? How long will it be?
<ME>
I'm 3x days out since my withdrawal
<ME>
and your page STILL says: International Wire Transfer in USD (WITHIN 1 to 2 business days - NO FEE)
<MT GOX CS>
Sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused. Your withdrawal will be processed and credited into your bank account soon.
<ME>
what does Soon mean? How far back in the queue am I?
<ME>
how many withdrawls are you processing a day?
<MT GOX CS>
Unfortunately we can not view the queue. As we are not sure about the ETA.
<MT GOX CS>
We will keep you updated , once the withdrawal is processed
<ME>
So how can you help? How can view the queue?
<ME>
Who can view the queue rather?
<MT GOX CS>
We have escalated your ticket to the banking team as priority. They will process your withdrawal with high priority
<ME>
What does that mean? That a Banking Team CS will contact me?
<MT GOX CS>
Unfortunately our banking team has no customer support. Once they keep us informed. we will update you
<ME>
So to summarize: No idea where I am in the queue, no idea how long it will be till my withdrawal is processed.
<ME>
Thank you for attempting to escalate. I hope I hear something soon
<MT GOX CS>
Thank you contacting MTGOX chat support

200  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL ASIC Single 60GH/s 175 BTC IN-HAND on: July 01, 2013, 07:01:50 AM
Dude, I'm selling too - but your price is just way too high - in 2 weeks people will receive their august orders and then you're not gonna sell anything in like, ever. List it on ebay or something? But 175... that's 17500 USD, dude.

<sigh.....>

Given the preload of orders just from < 07/01/12 for Singles.. I have to call BS on that one.

Yes, I think $17,500 is high, but people are paying $1500-3000 for 5Ghash Jallys, so heck... why not? I might even sell one of mine when it arrives, it if fetches that kind of money.. who knows..
