Hi, the site is having some problems, it will be up in a few minutes.
323  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 17, 2011, 02:40:44 PM
just a stupid bump Smiley
324  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 15, 2011, 10:37:31 AM
The address I paid to was 1Ce1Fichx4R4dHF3Fknbc1C929JgBcsKk5

The reason my info wasn't saved is because I browse with firefox in private mode only so there is no history recorded.

aha, so this was the problem, private mode doesn't remember cookies, and you didn't remember a link that identifies you, so the site didn't have anything to recognize you from, so it created a new user for you. I recommend bookmarking your page so you don't loose it:)

I've pmed you your login.
325  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 15, 2011, 08:07:13 AM
Seems as though I lost my BTC. I sent the money last night, kept my browser open, played a bit, left the page, came back and now I've got a different user ID with 0 BTC balance.

Not sure if the user ID's are based on IP or what (my router was reset due to wireless connections not being able to see the network) but is there anyway I can get my coins back? I think users should be able to create accounts or at least register their ID with a password for logins.

hey, user id is based on a argument in a web request called "secret", you can see it in the location bar,
but also, its preserved by the cookie in your browser to prevent easy losing of your login.
if you edit your secret though, and make a request with an invalid one, your cookie is reset and you get a new user. I suppose that this has happened.. I think I'll remove that 'feature' to avoid this in the future.

you can just check out your browsing history and return to a page using a correct link, but if you still have any problems, just give me anything by which I can locate your user, like rough balance, rough ip, the address you payed to, and I'll send you your login link.

the site looks amazing!
327  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 14, 2011, 06:51:32 PM
for the last few hours, there was a problem with bitcoind dying, so users were unable to generate new deposit addresses. This is fixed now.
328  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bet now - When will aliens visit earth? on: July 13, 2011, 09:37:38 PM
Never in all of history has any evidence of visitation by alien life been identified. And your geussing this August? So, i'll match your 1BTC and bet against you. If by Aug.21 no aliens arrive, I win. Deal?
No evidence?  Why are there half a million results for the term UFO on YouTube?  Is it all genuine proof?  No, but there is more evidence that they do exist and have visited than that they don't exist or haven't visited earth.

I'll have to deny that offer though, I think it will happen in 2012.

unidentified flying object is just that, unidentified flying object. you are taking a huge leap of imagination between seeing something in the sky, and intelligent life from another planet flying in a machine Smiley

When can we withdraw?
if the payment is registered, you can withdraw it.

if you are "user-4e1de994eb71cc8023000078", you are trying to withdraw "[ 333]" instead of just "333", so it results in an error Smiley

330  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 13, 2011, 06:15:21 PM
Same, I deposited 1btc, it has 10 confirmations now and it does not show up on the site.

found it, I've credited your account, sorry about this.
331  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 13, 2011, 06:12:56 PM
I just deposited 0.05 and it's got 12 confirmations but it hasn't shown up in my balance. :/
I've pm-ed you about this

people, this is one last bug to fix until I can call this app a beta, unfortunately it has a nasty consequence of not registering a payment, it has happened once before. don't hesitate to msg me about this.

I'm onto it and it should be fixed in a few minutes.
332  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 13, 2011, 06:00:21 PM
The site seems to be down.  Huh

fixed.

and I'm working on this.
333  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 13, 2011, 01:43:00 PM
I'm scared of double payments, so now the site requires 5 confirmations before it registers the payment.

I'm working on a better way to handle this, users will be able to play with their unconfirmed bitcoins, but the site will pay it out once they get confirmed. also, you'll be able to set the server to withdraw the money automatically when it gets enough confirmations.
334  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 13, 2011, 11:26:36 AM
I deposited a test value, clicked on play and thats what I see now:

Service Temporarily Unavailable
..

aha, the server was down for a few minutes, the site is working now.

it was down due to update,
I updated the code to fix a rounding problem mentioned by Alex Beckenham.

server now stores and works with values in 8 decimal places (bitcoin implementation maximum) but it displays money in 4 decimal places so that it doesn't bother users with useless numbers. if somebody cares, I'll add an option to show full precision numbers.

Thank you holorga for fixing my account. Man I am a dynamite magnet ;(
hah I'm sorry  Smiley

Yeah definitely accuracy issues... my balance is on 0.007 now after only ever playing the bitcent button... it seems to be charging more like 0.0105 for each game.

I've credited your acc with 0.5 btc, its more then needed, but I'm grateful for your good feedback. gonna go to sleep now Smiley

Thanks very much! But I just logged in and did SHIFT-refresh and it's still on 0.007 balance.

there ya go. forgot to update something Smiley

Something else Smiley

I just deposited 0.5 btc and I've ONLY been clicking the 0.01 button, but my balance went down somewhat like this:

0.49
0.48
0.469
0.459
0.448
0.438

Like it's also charging an extra 0.001 occasionally for no reason.

Edit: Does each game get recorded in a database? I've played so many games now for 0.01 btc, that all the extra little 0.001 charges have added up to more than 2 bitcents so far.
Balance going down slightly faster than it should be.

yes, javascript can get weird with small floats occasionally, I feared this might show sometimes, I'll need to investigate this a bit. this is serious and I'll make this a priority.

and the games are recorded yeah, I'll repay it to your account
339  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin MineField - 10%-2300% winings, fully automated, with cool technologies:) on: July 13, 2011, 02:54:26 AM
what I display is what I use to calculate the winnings.

Which is exactly what I used to calculate my table, hence your cut calculation.

you are right, yes, by saying  "the house is taking 5%" I didn't mean to say you are wrong but to say "yup, the house is taking ~5%, your table is correct" Smiley

Anyway, in other news, I played the '24 mines' game and clicked the same square each time and it took me 53 times to win Smiley Just my luck.

But the real news was that after I got the right square, and there are only 24 squares left, each with a mine, it should have ended the game, but instead it still lets you pick another square even though 100% of the remaining ones contain a mine.

I'm assuming that's the same for other games too (eg. Play on '15 mines' and pick the 10 free squares, the game should automatically end there, not let you blow your entire winnings by clicking on another square - certain death).

right, I missed this. thanks, I'll implement it.

yeah, the house is taking 5% Smiley those differences are due to rounding, I'll disclose the algo if anyone cares.

If those differences are due to rounding, and the cut is always exactly 5% then that means those advertised rewards you display are rounded?

aha, no, that rounding affects the real cut I'm making, what I display is what I use to calculate the winnings.
actually, that multiplication number you see after a game is started is a number received from a server when it creates a new 'field'

(even though there is no need for that, I'm doing the same calculations client side when changing the slider. (so its already 'disclosed' Smiley exactly the same peace of code is running on the server))
