whoa, I've missed last ~10 messages, for some reason I stopped receiving emails on topic posts. I see that Smokeandmirrors posted some images of the android game. great. I made a bet, and in the middle of playing - the game refreshed on me and i lost my bet (without clicking on anything).
we've resolved this over pm's, it seems that his browser (chrome) had some trouble with occasional auto refreshing of the page. let me know if any of you encounter a similar problem. So, what happens to those odd hundredts of cents in the end?
Casus: I played a bit, lost some and had a really weird amount left; something like "0.0062". Added some new funds to make it a round number (and being able to play a bit more). Then lost interest. With 0.0025 left in balance.
That amount is not enough to transfer without fees (according to the official client anyway) and probably not even worth the effort.
Will you keep that amount there, for when I come back to deposit some more? And what if I come back in two months? Is there a moment after which you close the account and take the balance as your own?
good question: nothing, I let you cash this out if you wish and I'll loose money on transaction fees. I hope nobody will abuse this as there is nothing to gain from it. and that amount will be kept there for you forever in your account.

I have withdrawn to a MtGox account and it says the withdrawal is confirmed(it said so instantly), and blockexplorer shows an empty transaction...
I'm hoping it's just cause MtGox can take a while. Please help me, owner!
don't panic the site doesn't wait for confirmations on its own payments, it just calls them confirmed by default. and the blockexplorer needs a few minutes to notice them, they are showing up now, everything is fine.

Now I know why I don't gamble, I was up (Let's see how far I can take this!)
And then I wasn't.
yeah. gambling is so very nasty and statistically, you shouldn't do it at all. I also lost some btc myself, on a similar game, and then I wrote this one I've been observing the strategies people have, and they mostly don't ever stop. their balance fluctuates until they hit the floor.

Hello, I made minefield.bitcoinlab.org, and I'm interested in this. I was unsure if people would play smartphone games so I didn't go into implementing those myself, but now that I already have the infrastructure you need (with admin interface with statistics), this sounds very good. I'll pm you my contacts.

You mentioned creating new games, any ideas on what they are going to be like? Another gambling game, or a "pay to play" game?
yes, I have some specific ideas. I suppose they'll be closer to what you'd call gambling "pay to play" games are, in my opinion, something completely different. with "pay to play" games, a focus is on the games people enjoy, and with bitcoin gambling games, people play those because of the bitcoins if I wanted to help people use bitcoins with real games, I wouldn't write one, but I'd write a payment proxy for steam or something like that. I am interested in the work on "real games" and do work on something but I don't see it as something related to this. and it is far from being done. It will include a bitcoin payment possibility if I'll ever accept payments. and about my future bitcoin "gambling work" my infrastructure is sound now, I'm happy with it. I can easily support multiplayer for example. there are few more little things to fix, and then I'll make new things. I have an idea for a lottery, it should be interesting, this, I'll do quickly, I'd just like a lottery like the one I have in mind to exist. and then I'll work on my first "real" thing. I won't go into details yet. it will be different from the others and it won't be a gambling game but it will heavily revolve around bitcoins. I'll be able to work on this in about 6 days, as I'm traveling atm. and you can expect that simple lottery beta in ~10 days. you seem to have some preferences or something in mind, I'd be happy to hear about it.

Wow! That's impressive! I am WAY too scared to try it at 23 (But how many times did they lose? haha) they didn't loose much, it was a real gamble and yeah, I'd also be way too scared

I've implemented a new payment system! you can play right away, with unconfirmed transactions, and cash your winnings out when your payments get confirmed. I'll implement an option to pay out automatically once the confirmations are received. ..I'm slowly building the system up, I want to have everything polished before working on new games. suggestions are super-welcome
