Thanks, I will send you an email. As far as I know, what happens in Windows 10 is that as soon as Windows recognizes there is a known wifi signal, it will connect to it. The first setup is important. In Windows when there is a total power failure and then it returns, the wifi is always accessible. Yeah, is not straight recognizable like LAN, will usually take few seconds every time the computer is restarted.
Linux is TOTALLY different + we have many scripts that do all kind of stuff. So we just need to test if nothing fails Smiley
OK waiting for email.
142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Manage Your GPU farm the easy way! (30 days free) on: August 18, 2020, 01:11:35 PM
Thanks, I'm just waiting for that, wifi is good and bad for various reasons, I know a friend that fried his PC because his lte router was struck by lightning, his lte router was connected directly to his computer via ethernet, yeah is rare but it happens in some parts of the world where lightning is constant, if you know how to do it properly, wifi is good, just make sure there are no more than 8 computers in your wifi network and where you live there are not many 2.4ghz radio connections, and you should be fine.
Recently i am using Tp-Link Deco as mesh wifi and i must say that those wifi are pretty stable and they actually work pretty well with seamless roaming around whole house.
I previously tested also Velop and Netgear Orbi which are just massacre ....
TP-link Deco AC2200 is super stable and very fast but it has one problem (ping spikes) which are not good for gaming, Beside that i recommend them Smiley
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/forum/topic/201302 (spikes problem - ONLY one problem while other Mesh wifi had like TON of them Cheesy)
Maybe those new deco AX standard will be even better.
If you want to test our WiFi support, please email me at admin@simplemining.net - i will send you soon image for tests.
We need to do few more tests like what happen if rig boots when wifi is not yet acessible (after power failure), or when wifi will lose signal and then comes back.
Also we need to add feature so that those settings of wifi SSID and password will be preserved after doing reflash image Action from dashboard.
143  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Manage Your GPU farm the easy way! (30 days free) on: August 18, 2020, 12:19:55 PM
Any ETA on adding wifi?
Few more tests and it should be released.
Might be added in new image that will be released very soon.
I would still say 2-4 weeks. It is not our priority subject and we highly do not recommend it as wifi = more troubles.
144  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: NiceHash OS vs Hive OS vs Simple Mining OS - Which is the most profitable on: August 14, 2020, 12:45:55 PM
I've DONE SimpleMining and i prefer SimpleMining Cheesy

SimpleMining.net is cheapest (still it depends how many rigs you planning to have)
Then you can set your hashpower to nicehash pool or normal pool like ethermine or nanopool or others or for example miningrigrentals in which you can sell your hashpower for certain number of hours and certain price. Selling 14% more than "avg" price works many times in miningrigrentals.

Still, you should get also consider stability, features, design, user interface, support, community and others.
Better just try both and see which one suits You the most.

trying to set up zil pool on phonix miner having issues any ideas ?

https://docs.google.com/document/d/11ZMfxKtdyy__8xPDFJFgj0m4P3ZBQGQkgXCX9mH8k3Y/edit

Faster answer you would get on Discord but here:

-pool sg-zil.rustpool.xyz:8008 -wal 0xxxxx -pass aaaaaa@asia1-etc.ethermine.org:4444@8G -worker $rigName -proto 2

that was my zil config
-pool sg-zil.rustpool.xyz:8008 -wal 0xxxxx -pass aaaaaa@asia1.ethermine.org:4444@4G -worker $rigName -proto 2

Update v1282
- If you want to flash nvidia via SSH, you can now unload all modules using special command: nvidiaunload, then you can flash your GPUs
- Improved output information for detecting problems with network. Checks if rig got DHCP address and if can ping google, cloudflare and simplemining
- Improved "Unknown Memory" type reading for VEGA/NAVI GPUs
147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4GB GPUs and DAG file load problem with Claymore and Ethereum on: August 04, 2020, 09:45:18 PM
Each gpu brand or memory type fails at little different dag epoch.
I guess different memory has little different free memory that can be used.
Or there is something different.
Anyway i know that problem will be bigger and bigger.
148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4GB GPUs and DAG file load problem with Claymore and Ethereum on: August 04, 2020, 06:47:09 PM
Hello, ive 2 computers, one with 3 cards (the first 8 GB, the other 2, 4 GB) and i dont have the problem

But i have other PC with only one card (use sometimes for mining, its my main pc) and ive the problem here. why is this? (all RX470/570) Claymore 15, WIndows 7x64

Claymore miner stops working on certain GPUs in different time.

2GB card cannot mine Ethereum. Its not possible.

The first topic says why is this happening.

Teamredminer when try to connect to ethmine its got an error

Please copy this error here or directly into Discord general channel.
150  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Manage Your GPU farm the easy way! (30 days free) on: August 02, 2020, 07:47:02 AM
ah ok? But why much other Mining OS have this feature?
This tool was made only for smos. Other OS'es cannot use this tool.
Amdmemtweak also allows to do this kind of tweak.
151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Deploy, configure, monitor your GPU FARM on: August 01, 2020, 02:59:02 PM
a simple coding on your side should fix this

thx for info.
We are adding wifi support and rewriting wifi parameters from that config file so maybe this broke somehow.
I disabled this BETA image, we will check it on monday.
152  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethos ETH miners stop mining at epoch 352 on: August 01, 2020, 02:42:05 PM
OK then.
Actualy in our OS we have those:

export GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PRECENT=100
export GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS=0
export GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT=100

(setx is for windows) so use export instead.
You should find script where miner is starting and put there those at very beginning (or after #!/bin/bash )
I do not know their architecture but i think they have those basics covered ... as it is like base line for linux OS and mining.

Did you tried other miners like phoenixminer or teamredminer ?
The both have fix for many problems so it might help.

btw, i was yesterday at their support and i actualy were able to receive some info so you could send it and just wait or PM directly to mods.
153  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethos ETH miners stop mining at epoch 352 on: August 01, 2020, 02:32:45 PM
I think the solution are these commands, but I don't know how or where to put them in ETHOS

setx GPU_FORCE_64BIT_PTR 0
setx GPU_MAX_HEAP_SIZE 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_SINGLE_ALLOC_PERCENT 100

I found out that setx=export in linux.

Might not be the case but please try their support (2 replies up)
154  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mininig with Air Conditioner ??? on: August 01, 2020, 01:26:39 PM
The important thing is the GPUs has no dust, no overheating.

Even if you are mining to get some coin - whatever it is. You can always mine ethereum - get more cash this way and then convert it to whatever coin you want to have/keep.

If air condition does not blow directly into rig then it is ok.
Also GPU can easily run at 75*C. The Max temperature for most GPUs is 90*C and this is too much usually.
Also fans in GPU should not run on 100% so if they are running at 60% then you are all set Smiley

I had air conditioner that wat takin 5kW and cooling with power of 15kW.
Rigs that were in that room were taking about 25kW, so air conditioning was cooling but had not enough power. Room temperature was 30*C.
They were running or a 2 years in that conditions and they have totally no problem and running even now almost 3 years. GTX 1070 8GB.

It looked like this: https://youtu.be/F9_2WBalUF8

And you are right, it is clean and without dust.
Currently i have air cooled GPU farm and the dust is there Smiley
Actually dust is not bad, the worse are those flying worms which always get somehow in Smiley
155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Problem with ethminer - just shuts down. on: August 01, 2020, 01:08:11 PM
Hmm 1080TI have 8GB so i dont think that this is problem with increasing DAG file size in ethereum. (by any chanse
But you could try running other miners like teamredminer or phoenixminer.
also if you are using some extra parameters in etherminer you could try removing them or if you are using ohgodapill, you could try without it.
Also try lowering OC, might be the cause also.

If you will still have problems then you could just run our simplemining.net operating in which you do not need to mess with the drivers or system settings.

156  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Deploy, configure, monitor your GPU FARM on: August 01, 2020, 09:32:11 AM
Also updated smos to latest version (BETA) does not work.
Maybe you can shout out to TRM to support hawaii Smiley

Smos support those gpus but honestly those are so old and so little users uses those 280/380.
I dont think developers will be supporting this gpu Sad

You can ask on their discord
TeamRedMiner Discord is here: https://discord.gg/89BmJDX
157  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Mining OS] SimpleMining.net - Deploy, configure, monitor your GPU FARM on: July 31, 2020, 06:23:18 PM
If anyone has problem with 4GB AMD GPUs stopped working under claymore miner then you just need to use teamredminer program and it works fine under 4GB GPUs.

Hi! What about older Hawaii cards? TRM does not support them..

You could try also phoenixminer, might work. Try that. I have info that it should work.
158  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethos ETH miners stop mining at epoch 352 on: July 31, 2020, 09:53:34 AM
Well i have been using ethos for over 3 years now and i can confirm that ethos has the miners needed to hash with 4gb vram gpus. Yes the ethos servers wont show those miners but if you ask in the ethos support channel (http://ethosdistro.com/kb/#support) you sure will get the instructions on how to do it.

I do love the plug for SMOS though , good move
Thx for info.
159  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethos ETH miners stop mining at epoch 352 on: July 31, 2020, 09:29:55 AM
ethOS' customers are able to update mining clients by themselves if they wish to do so.

Quote
sudo update-miners && sudo service ethos-miner-monitor restart

Even if those miners are not prepared on ethos servers ? Then tere would be nothing to update.
From their changelog it seems they do not update their miners (there is no information about this for 2 years now)

Any ethos user around ?
Can you tell us guys that phoenix or teamredminer version do you have onboard ?
160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ethos ETH miners stop mining at epoch 352 on: July 31, 2020, 08:37:05 AM
You can keep using Ethos.
However, make sure to select the latest ....

I am not sure if ethos is making any updates to miner programs.
Last changelog was at "(released October 9th 2018)"
So i do not think that it can mine on 4GB cards.
