Hi shanem. You can do that, but you should keep a few things in mind:

* First, every time the chart is updated a house edge of 0.2% is applied. Thus over time the chart will have a tendency downwards, this is how we make money. Thus after several days, you are very likely to have lost money (just like on a dice game that you play for several days)

* The chart can get negative as well. Your balance will change together with the chart. Say for example if your balance is 1000 satoshi, you buy red, then red increases by one, then you have 1001 satoshi after the update.

At it's core Chart Bet is nothing different than a dice game on auto roll. In both cases a series of rolls determine how your balance changes and a house edge is applied in every step. The difference is that we have a super low house edge of just 0.2% and that we plot the past rolls as a graph.

I highly recommend to try this game out with the 500 free satoshi that you get when you visit the FastSlots for the first time. Only once you have familiarized yourself with the concept, should you play with your own money.

Thanks a lot Edmund. We've had a lot of happy customers. No one has called us a scam before. Here are two reasons why it is very obvious that we are not:

a) We are provably fair. This means that the sort of cheating that MJ is accusing us of is simply not possible.

b) Even if you do not trust provably fairness, try to think about how to set up a rigged casino. You'd probably do something like this: You buy a script from someone. You tweak the code so that it's rigged (very easy). Then you buy lots of adds to get as many people to participate in your scam as possible.

Now look at what we did. We coded everything ourselves. We really tried very hard to come up with some innovative games like Chart Bet, Double or Nothing, or Bonus Dice. We've spent a lot of time and money developing our own design language, finding good sounds, etc. We have engaged with the community (see this thread). We have still not spent money on ads bc I have this weird thought that a casino that grows organically could offer a far better house edge to players.

If we were a scam, we'd be like the most inefficient scam in the history of mankind.

tldr: MJ played at FastSlots, lost it all, complained in the forum that we are a scam; I looked into it, found no problem on our side and that he had just lost his 0.04 btc deposit; I gave him a full refund nonetheless, asking him to tone it down; He takes the refund, looses it all again, makes above post.

I'd really like for everybody to know what is going on here. MarkMJ came to our site yesterday, played some chart bet on the free account and raked in a small profit going from 1000 satoshi to 1112. He then decided to to make a deposit of 0.04 Bitcoin, played, and lost it all. In my mind there would be two possible next actions:
1) Accept that in gambling there is the possibility of losing money, take the loss like a man, and hope for better days.
2) If I'm really suspicious I'd pm the op to see what is going on.

MarkMJ opted for possibility 3: Post to the forum thread in big red font that the site is a scam. I subsequently made a quick post to the forum and got in touch with him by pm. He told me by email that he would remove his comments if I were to give him a refund (that is what is called extortion). I looked into our db very closely and convinced myself that it was in fact only bad luck. We have a provably fair system where every step can be checked. It turns out that there was no bug on our side and that MJ was just really unlucky. I felt really bad for the guy so I gave him a full refund. In exchange I had asked him to tone down his comments in the thread.

At this point if I were in his position there's really only one option, take my money and go my way (consider that MarkMJ was convinced to be playing in a rigged casino). But not for MJ. He proceeded to continue gambling at FastSlots, and to loose it all again. Then goes on to make the above post using even bigger red font (I removed that part from my quote).

I really don't know what his problem is, will contact mods now.

For everybody else: Chart Bet is a provably fair game with a house edge of 0.2%. You do not have to take my word on this, just look at the provably fair mechanism.


EDIT: So apparently MarkMJ just got 6 hours of gambling out of 0.04 Bitcoin and complained. Don't know what to say...
 

Hey Tongkar, a lot of people have made quite sizeable wins on chart bet. You don't have to take my word for it, it's a provably fair game with a house edge of 0.2%.

It's a bit tough to be called a scammer here to be honest. If you look at our casino you will notice that we have put a lot of work and love into it. We would be idiots if we were to scam people now. You can also look at the comments in this thread and you will notice that we have a lot of very happy customers.

I have looked into MarkMJ account and could not find any irregularities. I have reached out to him by pm and I'm sure we can figure out what happened and come to a solution that everybody is happy with.

I'm guessing that you had a problem with setting your client seed on chart bet. What is not stated there is that your client seed must be numeric. When you enter some letters, there should actually be a popup. For some reason that does not happen. I'll try and fix that right now.

Hi shulio. If we had no house edge the chance of getting a 6-streak would be 1 in 64: to get a streak of length 1 your chances are 1 in 2 (or 50%); length 2 is half that chance, that is 1 in 4 (or 25%); length 3 is 1 in 8 (or 12.5%),  ... length 6 is 1 in 2^6 which is 1 in 64 (or 1.56%).

If you take our house edge of 1% into account then the same calculation gives you that your chances are 0.495^6 which is 1.47%. That's your chance of hitting it in one try, if you continue to try the chances are much higher.

But as you know, probability can be a b**ch: If you're unlucky you could try forever and fail. If you are lucky you might hit it quite quickly. When we launched the competition Jaaawsh posted a 5-streak within minutes...

By the way, I've noticed that there have been several users trying to get the 0.1 bitcoin in the high rollers in the competition (see below). We've had some near misses but no one has been successful so far. I think that for people that are happy to gamble at higher stakes the high roller competition should be quite attractive. Without the competition the house edge of Double or Nothing is at just 1%. Taking the competition into account, its even lower...
