Hello Henry, I cant seems to understand how is this chartbet game
It seems like when I didnt buy the "stocks" or whatever it is called, it seems the chart is being stagnan, and when i have buy it, the tendency of falling is greater than rise, it can be falling for almost entire my bankroll ( which is the free balance ) does this means that if i have a btc in my bankroll and the chart keep on falling will my 1 btc be consumed in the end?
That's extremely unlikely. Well, where you playing yellow, red, or purple? If purple was the answer, there's not much to complain about. I once deposited 0.01 and cashed out 0.1, because the chart flew up really high. Sometimes it goes really far down too. The game is provably fair, it's not rigged at all. But when playing purple, it might feel that way. I think you misread my post , im just saying it has the tendency of falling and im not saying it was rigged because i knew it wasnt and there is actually a seed hash that can be verify with provably fair system, all I asked is that if i got 1 btc in my bankroll and the tendency of the chart is falling, will it eat up my entire balance? The sort(er) answer: Like in any gambling game, on the long term (talking hours to days of play) you will lose, because there is a house edge that is greater than 0. In the short run it depends on your luck: if you get lucky you will win, if you are unlucky you will use. In respect to your chances of winning Chart Bet is like any other gambling game. Actually your chances of winning on Chart Bet are higher than in almost any other game because the house edge is so low (just 0.2%). The longer answer: The way the charts move is independent of whether you have bought the stock or not, or whether you have deposited or not. You can check this very easily: When you click on 'verify' in the bottom section of the page you can see the exact code we are using to determine the change of the stock from the server secret or the client secret. Even if you are not a programmer you can see that the code is always the same, not matter if you have bought or not. The difference between the three charts is only their volatility: the yellow one is relatively stable, the red one is sort of "medium-stable", and the purple one fluctuates the most. Here is how we compute the change for each chart: from the server secret and the client secret we first compute a positive number the determines the rate of change for a chart. Then, exactly like in a dice game, we compute a second number that determines whether the change will be upwards or downwards. On every update of a chart, the chance that the chart will rise is 0.2% lower than that it will fall. So you are right, each chart has a very small tendency to go downwards, this is how we make money. I really need to try to write this up in the clearest way possible and add it to the website. Hi funtotry, I don't think you are missing something. To be honest, it's just a game of luck. Chart Bet is really just a dice game with a different user interface... Yea good idea, the reasoning is that lets say theres 15 users online. Likely not all of them will be chatting, and there is multiple different games, splitting the users to chatboxes for each game and therefore each chatbox would be very empty and only 1 or 2 people max on each one.
I absolutely agree. From my experience only a single digit percentage of visitors on a website are active in some way or another. So you really need some sizable traffic to get a chat going. Your suggestion of having a single chat for all pages combined is really important. Also wanted to give you guys a first look at the upcoming chat (see screenshot below). If you have any feedback, would be great to hear it, cause it's easiest to change stuff while I'm working on it... |

I think I am going to have to pass, keep trying and could not hit a streak higher than 5. Not very lucky... Congrats to the winners I'm not gonna lye, it is quite hard at this point. The chances of hitting such a streak in the next hand are at about 1 to 2^10 so thats under 1 to 1000. If you're feeling lucky you might want to give it a try but the only realistic option at this point is to use a very small bet size (min bet size to qualify is 0.00001btc). |

Ok, have now read all the comments, and luckily almost everything relevant has been said already, so I'm not going to repeat it. Still I want to answer some of the posts. save your time, I think he finally understand it and it was his mistakes that he lost and he wanted to share his experience, he doesnt even know about provably fair, but it seems like now he do and he will stop posting about this
This might be the best comment made so far. Thank you also for defending my position while I was away. I basically support everything you said. Should not have given him anything. You are a reputable enough casino and people were standing up for you. All you had to do was stand up for yourself as well, but now you've shown that all people have to do is bitch after they lose and call you scam and you'll give their money back. This is gambling. The site is provably fair. They don't get a penny back!
Hey Droganson, thanks for your comment. Sorry to have missed it previously (thanks to MarkMJ for pointing that out). I guess you are right, I was trying to be too nice. I can say for the future that nobody will ever get a refund for accusing us. The reason I gave MarkMJ a refund was not because of the accusations, but because his first loosing streak (the one before the refund) was really quite brutal. To be clear: it was 100% fair, every single bet can be verified. But sometimes a loosing streak can just be very bad. We really try to treat all players well, evne if they get a bit emotional. MarkMJ, I think we are both ready to let go of this topic. I think you had no bad intentions and can understand your anger after the loosing streak. As Shulio has pointed out, I think the underlying issue might have to do with some misconceptions about the notions of provable fairness and house edge (had noticed that many people have issues with these concepts when reading a related discussion on Reddit). Will see if I can write up some blog posts to try to clarify. One last point: So far I have been amazed by the people in this forum. The amount of support and high quality actionable advice I have received here is just amazing. Droganson's and Shulio's comments are great examples for this. I really appreciate the support and feedback and would really like to thank everybody for that. |
