721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Miners are your new slave masters on: November 19, 2017, 09:13:39 PM
Its a bitter truth of crypto-world. Miners do have all the control on every crypto-currency. From developing new coins to confirming a transaction, everything is in miners hand. And the bad part is we can't really help ourselves to get rid of it. Bitcoin miners are taking advantage of it by rising transaction fees day by day.
722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who here lives on crypto currency daily? on: November 19, 2017, 08:46:04 PM
I personally only use crypto currency nowadays. I have a bitcoin debit card (bitpay) that I use everyday to make any payments.

It is nice because I can receive money anywhere in the world and have it sent directly to my bitpay account and then spend it in a irl store within minutes.

What about you guys? Do you invest/trade/use crypto currency?

I live in NY btw

I do invest/trade and even spend BTC where it is accepted.
In my country Bitcoin is not that extensively accepted...nor any BTC debit card is available. But I sometime I use to settle my accounts with some of my friends who are into crypto so that my part of spending.
I do earn Bitcoin from bounties, sig campaigns, writing etc and happy to HODL the earned amount so thats Investing.
723  Economy / Speculation / Re: If bitcoin falls 20% a day on: November 19, 2017, 08:36:32 PM
It depend if this is a regular correction then I will rather buy more, but if BTC fall coz of some bad news like govt. Ban or regulatory policy etc then it is better to sell it coz I have bought it way down at $3000 and I will book my profit for a while and let the market be stable again. When I see recovery than I will again buy it.
I will rather want to play safe than being a fool.
724  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think bitcoin ever be safe for any investment ? on: November 18, 2017, 08:13:18 PM
BITCOIN will never be a safe investment tool until central authorities clear their stand on BTC legality.
Apart from that, BTC proved to be one of the best investment tool which can give you outstanding Returns on your investment in long-term scenario without even putting any efforts in it.
725  Local / India / Re: Indian bitcoin exchange Unocoin increases BTC transaction fee on: November 18, 2017, 08:02:05 PM
India being a market where BTC is getting quite popular day by day. So a lot new users are joining crypto-market everyday. There are only a few(about 3-4) exchanges, in India that provide them a door to enter this market by exchanging fiat to BTC. Unocoin is the oldest and largest used exchanges in India. So all these few indian exchanges are enjoying monopoly position and therefore applying high transaction fees.
726  Economy / Speculation / Re: 1Btc=$10000 on: November 18, 2017, 07:31:19 PM
I don't think BTC can touch $10k target by the end of this year. I am expecting BTC to grow till $8500 by the end of dec but expecting more than that would be foolish. I think it will take around 2-3 months to reach BTC at the level $10000.
727  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will increase to $100,000 says expert on: November 18, 2017, 07:25:47 PM
I don't find any solid research or base behind this report. First of all, on what bases max keiser is claiming that all other coin except top 20 will vanish. Such article are not trustworthy and are there just to create a fake hype to boost market.
Even I don't think BTC at $100K is not an easy journey. Its legality status is not clear all around the world, which is the biggest obstacle on its way. No central authority will like to loose control from their hand.
Apart from this hindrance, it got potential to grow and touch the moon.
728  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: SegWit2X finally out of the game? on: November 18, 2017, 07:08:36 PM
For now Segwit2x is not happening, but I don't think that Miner group who were supporting Segwit2x will remain calm. They will again try to create a propaganda and bring back SWT2X. It may not be surprising if we will soon hear a new launching date of segwit2x. So Game is not over yet.

733  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] INDAHASH ICO: WORKING APP, 130 PERSON TEAM, 7 OFFICES, 300 000 INFLUENCERS on: November 14, 2017, 09:21:47 PM
Good to hear that pre-ICO is fully filled.
indaHash is getting a overwhelming response from all around the globe. Some ICO review sites has given amazing rating to this ICO....ICO-bench has given 4.2 rating and crpto-coins given 9.5 out of 10 which make it a nearly risk-free investment.

Strong team including BARBARA SOŁTYSIŃSKA (CEO) who got the title EY Entrepreneur of the Year and DAREK ZIELIŃSKI(COO) who has an experience of 9+ years as a manager in the media industry, makes this ICO more trustworthy.
734  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if Satoshi Nakamoto dump his 1million Bitcoin Cash (BCH)? on: November 14, 2017, 09:06:52 PM
I think Satoshi Nakamoto don't care about BTC price going up  or down. Rather his vision was to make BTC as a alternative payment mode not a investment tool. So he is not at all bother about its price compared to FIAT.
So if in case, BTC died and BCH grow, his concept is still the same. Thats what his vision is....
Moreover he left his coding open on developing section of bitcoin.org so that developers can easily access to it and if they want can make a better version of it.
735  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do some coins take off while others don't? on: November 14, 2017, 08:55:15 PM
There are many and complex things to consider. As many coins that seem to take off may also be a pump and dump coins.
The planning.
Team.
Concept.
community,
decision making capability of the developers.

I think Team is the main assent in making a ICO successful. In this scenario, where most of the ICO's are fraud, Team members feedback is quite important to trust an ICO. Experienced and honest Team members are the key to make an ICO successful.
2nd comes the Product...Effectiveness and application of the product apeals the investors to invest in ICo as it determines the revenue in future.
3rd come the Marketing and USP's....Marketing strategies to gain popularity & make ICO concept reach to every investor is really important to fill ICO crowdsale initially.
736  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your favorite altcoin project(s) and why? on: November 14, 2017, 08:18:06 PM
My all time favorite Alt-coin is Ethereum & waves. I think ETH is trading at quite low price at this time...its a good buying opportunity. And waves got a huge potential to grow in future. So you can invest in these 2 coins to get a GOOD ROI in near future.
737  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Losing faith in BTC... on: November 14, 2017, 06:38:31 PM
Who else is losing faith in BTC? I use to believe that BTC would change the world. What I just witnessed last night with BCH attempting to take over just shook my entire belief in BTC and crypto currency in general. It feels pretty obvious to me that BTC is the best thing ever and BCH is built upon greed, but I'm not entirely confident that either will win in the end anymore.

The huge boost in BCH overnight makes me wonder if anything in the crypto world is legit. Seems like everything is based upon greed. All the figure heads that are suppose to support BTC started being like "oh yeah, BCH is the new bitcoin now guys". John Mccafee (yup, the guy who said he'd eat his own dick on TV if BTC doesn't make it to $500,000 by 2020) is all like BCH is the solution blah blah blah. I figured okay, people are getting paid off to say stuff like this, he's a miner after all so he's looking for money. But then I started reading the core developer's tweets. They either don't talk about BCH, but even some of them were talking about BCH taking over.

I get that pump and dumps are going to happen, but when developers are switching to BCH this means either two things. One, BCH will become the new BTC. Two, developers are greedy and care about making money than BTC.

Another part of me wonders whether this was a pump and dump or not. Perhaps BCH really is better now.

Decentralization, limited supply, medium of exchange, store of value. These words are thrown around a lot when describing BTC, but it just seems to me that people really care only about money. When the developers are like this, that is means for worry. This means people will make changes to BTC strictly for hype to make money, even if it actually hurts the security of the coin.

The only figure head in the crypto world that I feel is trustworthy is the creator of LTC. My reasons are this:
1) He hasn't pumped the crap out of Litecoin with false propaganda
2) He was awkward on TV when talking about Litecoin
3) Intuitively seems more genuine

Last night has left me depressed all day today. I'm very bothered by this. I feel like if I go with BCH I lose. If I go with BTC I lose. I feel like BTC is the good guy and BCH is the evil guy. However, BCH might win in the end. I see possible +EV with BCH though. So last night I caved guys. I caved. I feel sad but I did. I bought BCH which I thought I would never do (I didn't sell most of my BTC, It is like a hedge I suppose). Just seems like the +EV thing to do. Couldn't figure out if it was a pump/dump or a takeover so went with my limited knowledge.

If BCH makes it to $3,000ish I will dump some of my BCH for BTC again.

I'm distraught guys and not in a good way either. I kind of feel like I might be getting played, but I might be making the right decision.

This is the real issue....People start building and loosing faiths overnight. You are talking like a newbie man.
If there is some bounce in the price, people like you start saying that BTC is a new future....its arevolution, we see it at $20k-30k-50k by 2018...and blah blah blah.
And If it price fall by 10%...we don't believe it, its decentralized, no authentication, Fiat is best etc etc...

Such people often create panic or excitement in the market which result to soar or crash. But let me clear you 1 thing both are temporary. We were already expecting a dip after hardfork...now as sw2x canceled, crash is pretty sure to happen. Nothing to panic about it...it just a common market trend.

If BCH is rising...it does not mean BTC is dead. So keep calm and HODL your BTC tight.
738  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the btc price correction done? on: November 14, 2017, 06:26:41 PM
I think correction is done...Price is now seems to be stable at about $6500 from last 2 days. A positive trend is seen in last few in BTC pricing which proves that panic sellers has already exited. Only those who believe in BTC are left, so there is quite a less chance of dips anymore. I take $6000 as a the strong base price and hope it makes a new high soon.
739  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you think bitcoin be bullish in 2018? on: November 14, 2017, 06:14:25 PM
Technically speaking, more Bitcoin users are jumping in crypto-market day by day...this lead to soar the market cap of BTC. As more no of transactions will inc, Demand will inc. and being supply to be limited, The price will definitely be bullish. Hope to see BTC at $15000-20000 by end of 2018.
740  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin community is rising. on: November 14, 2017, 04:23:41 PM
Let the more member join to this global family. I don't see any harm in rising bitcoin community. More the no. of users...higher would be the market cap and Price will soar more n more. It will inc. BTC awareness and more n more people will start believing in this system and  then only BTC can be used as a true alternative payment mode in everyday life.
