This is the reason for the earlier typo on the image. I've made the guys in the World Crypto Network to talk about VeriCoin. In particular Chris Ellis, he is a very intelligent person and will se the potencial of VeriCoin Here the link (@ 1:14:57) http://youtu.be/39gCIgFCyY4?t=1h14m57sLet's see if my anti-FUD tactics will work, I guess so! Let's cross our fingers! Awesome! Great work!

I dont know what you are talking about effectsToCause, my only goal is to expose Christopher Bouzy, the nigerian scammer going by the name of IconicExpert, aka barabbas. I have never visited your IRC. Somebody else is impersonating me for obvious reasons if you have seen me in your IRC. Note down the IP next time you see IconicScum/IconicAmateur in your IRC. Together we can hunt down the nigerian fucking scammer. Be strong. I meant barrabas sorry edited my post for clarity

All the things mentioned here are fabrications. Just ask our community, our IRC people. As long as Barabbas doesn't go into our IRC and FUD you won't hear that these statements are true.
Everybody knows the truth effectsToCause. Bouzy said #VRC was a bad investment and he can;t get over the fact he was made to look like a butthurt dumbass (which he is anyways) when the prices rose sharply. Barabbas attacking a relatively trouble free Vericoin is more proof of the following equation: IconicExpert = Christopher Bouzy = Barabbas = Nigerian Fucking Scammer = Dumbass = Butthurt loser.I am exposing Christopher Bouzy, aka Barabbas, aka IconicExpert, the nigerian fucking scammers scams at https://twitter.com/IconicAmateur. Come collaborate and ensure this gangrene to crypto is weeded out. Whoever Barabbas is he appears to be trying to play both sides, most would say that is suspicious behavior.

VERICOIN Yes, vericoin. In the Wall of Shame. Reason? They simply don't play fair. They censor perfectly legitimate posts from their thread and randomly kick out any poster from their IRC channel if the question, even minimally, the procedures, let alone criticize anything. Just not acceptable. There are other red lights too. Extreme arrogance on the part of some of the mods AND their self-proclaimed media front man, which serves the coin and the community very poorly. That is inappropriate behavior in a coin, but specially in a new coin that has, technically, the interesting traces of one that could actually "make it". A very deep change in behaviors, along with TOTAL transparency, is needed there. Shameful. Curiously, this poster just came on the VeriCoin thread to give encouragement and descent advice.
I urge anyone reading these claims to ask members of our community, I am confident you will find these accusations to be false.

People were inquiring. Though we no longer give ETA's because they can be used against the community in temporary delays, the next wallet update to be released will implement the first version of the ANON #VeriSend feature.
Thanks guys and gals.

I have a question, I just xfered some VRC from exchange back to wallet, I'm not very versed in stake coins, however I have now held these coins for roughly 2 hours, and when I mouse hover over the Blue Icon in the wallet, it says my time to earn interest is 2 days , is this normal? I had thought I had read earlier, some one has said 8 hours?
coins need to mature in your wallet for 8 hours before you can stake them Also, when you get a payment depends on how many coins you have as well, it works out at the end of a year to be the average interest rate for that year earned.

Can we have an ETA on anonymous transactions please? As much as I think SMS wallet will be useful long time down the road. It seems most investors only care about anonymous TX so we really need to have it within the next 3-4 weeks. I think SMS wallet is actually better than anon long term but we need some short term price rise for VRC so I can living Working hard on it, making good progress! Can't give an ETA, but don't worry it will come.

We will have the current logo in the list of logo competitors. I personally like it the most, but we'll let the community decide.
Wow I'm glad you're doing that. I agree I like it the most. It is simple and professional. Let the best logo win! By the way, who made the current logo? I did, glad you like it. I want to do whatever the community vote is.

Is there a rich list yet?
Go back a whole 2 pages! For what? I see no link to a list. Why are you participating in a text-based communication exchange if you can't be bothered to read? All I see is your lying troll of a dev passing the buck, probably because he knows this pump was in the waiting by massive whales holding off for some news. Why else would every exchange grab so quickly. Get out soon. This forum will turn ugly in a few days. This is a pretty pessimistic view point, in some cases it may be warranted, not here I assure you. If you choose to not believe me please ask anyone in the community who has been with us for a longer duration. Deliver the open beta sms wallet. As you know those people that have been here know nothing since you didn't delivered anything in the past weeks, or did you? Just keep your promise and show the wallet.... No bullshit. Edit; what is your timezone? Just for clarification? SMS wallet beta almost ready! No BS here my friend.

Network Stake-Dependent Interest actually mitigates this potential attack. As the PoS difficulty drops, so too does the probability of receiving a stake and the corresponding probability of scoring excessive blocks without an insane amount of coin. Unfortunately not, the attack involves an exploit of the difficulty adjustment, similar to the multipool problem in PoW Dogecoin faced once. Note that the comparably old NovaCoin also has a dynamic interest rate, and many people consider it as a flaw. Time will tell what happens - if it would be so obvious to fork a coin with 1% stake then I would assume some people would have done it before (and we would have noticed). Remember that full PoS still must be considered as an experiment, a successful experiment so far, but still an experiment. I agree crypto and PoS is experimental, but if you analyze deeply the variance between average difficulty adjustment trends and our log stake adjustment, you find the probability of attack is extremely low. But definitely worth pursuing research further! thanks.

We have some big projects going on that a rich list would take some time away from. If it is desired it can be created by anyone. I urge anyone to make it. I could see coming in new it would be reassuring to see. I stand firmly by our launch being fair. Any volunteers?

Can anyone give me basic instructions on how to install the VeriCoin Linux wallet on Mint 17 (Ubuntu)? The instructions on Github are confusing and I'm fairly new to this process.
I installed QT Creator and then opened the vericoin-qt.pro file, but now it's saying that it's using an invalid kit "Desktop" to parse the project. It's asking me to add a kit and I don't know where to find it. I assumed I'd just be able to hit "Build", but I clearly don't know what I'm doing.
I also tried doing it the other way by installing these packages:
apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev \ libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev \ libssl-dev libdb4.8++-dev
However, libdb4.8++-dev apparently "has no installation candidate" and won't install. I found it online and installed it manually after I installed the other dependencies. When I go to run "qmake" and then "make", I'm uncertain what to specify with it, so this doesn't work either.
I'm sure my issues are coming from my lack of understanding when it comes to building packages.
Try this sudo apt-get install qt4-qmake libqt4-dev build-essential libboost-dev libboost-system-dev libboost-filesystem-dev libboost-program-options-dev libboost-thread-dev libssl-dev libdb++-dev libminiupnpc-dev libboost-all-dev libqrencode-dev git
