This is what mine does. After a LP pretty much for a minute it drops blocks.

I may try this, just got a new SBE board friday.
864  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Watchdog for cgminer - supports HTTP, email notifcations, pool APIs on: April 27, 2012, 05:12:37 PM
I have a vbs script that calls CG-WD as a scheduled task at logon.

Quote
Set WinScriptHost = CreateObject("WScript.Shell")
WinScriptHost.Run Chr(34) & "C:\cgminer\cgminer-wdog\cgm-wdog.bat" & Chr(34), 0
Set WinScriptHost = Nothing

That hides the window. The cgminer.lnk also calls the same vbscript that hides the cgminer window.

So far working pretty good.
865  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ Bonus PPS Pool - 105% ] - Private Beta OPEN on: April 27, 2012, 02:48:18 PM
So far today and last night the pool has been running awesome.
866  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Watchdog for cgminer - supports HTTP, email notifcations, pool APIs on: April 27, 2012, 02:30:29 PM
This looks pretty neat. How about programming in hooks so it can be run/installed as a service?

dropped you a couple coins. thanks.
867  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Do people still need frontends like mmcfe, simplecoin, p2pool, etc? on: April 26, 2012, 05:45:55 PM
when you run more than a couple of rigs it makes things a lot simpler.

p2pool isn't really a frontend, it's more of a backend.

I use anubis to monitor my cgminers and I can point them to whatever pool, or solo or p2pool with a couple clicks. Don't need to stop every miner and have them reload a config to restart.
868  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ Bonus PPS Pool - 105% ] - Private Beta OPEN on: April 26, 2012, 02:47:04 AM
Stales are way better. Rejects too. Still seeing 15-20% discards though from LP changes ?
869  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [360GH/s] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: April 24, 2012, 09:07:09 PM
I threw my little farm at it for an hour or so to test something, may be back soon.
870  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [459 GH] MaxBTC.com Pool - Merged NMC, Zero Fee, DGM, LP, API, SSL, Port 80 on: April 24, 2012, 02:42:54 PM
yeah something broke, all my miners dropped ( at exactly 12:00am/0:00 ) but it appears they are still working?  My page shows we are on block 200? But the last payout was block 116, with data unavailable.
871  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [ Bonus PPS Pool - 105% ] - Private Beta OPEN on: April 24, 2012, 02:40:08 PM
The pool comes and goes for me as well.  When it is up it is MUCH better, but I still see a ridiculously high number of rejects and discards.

pool            share        accepted      rejects     discards     stales

bonuspoool 10582    19035    752/4 %    834/4.4 %    59/0.3 %

otherpool  19819             52138         2/0%         141/0%       1/0%
872  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ANUBIS - a CGMINER Web Frontend on: April 23, 2012, 09:59:02 PM
What I think would be really great is to have the miners organized into groups and be able to change them all in one shot. Change a pool -> click. They all go. Go from failover to roundrobin or whatever-> click done. Clicking through each one is not very fun.
873  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: ANUBIS - a CGMINER Web Frontend on: April 23, 2012, 09:56:13 PM
Just an idea, I think it would be nice if there was some way to have the site require a login or something for any webpage commands to be executable.

Sometimes I just want to show friends of mine my ANUBIS page without giving them the potential to blow up my mining rigs.

this is a setting in .htaccess or file permissions on the webserver. It has nothing to do with anubis itself.
874  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [459 GH] MaxBTC.com Pool - Merged NMC, Zero Fee, DGM, LP, API, SSL, Port 80 on: April 23, 2012, 09:19:25 PM
+1 on worker password changes.

Is anyone else having problems with auto payout?  I'm above 0.75% for donations but it hasn't triggered.  I tried re-saving with another % value but it's still not working.

I just mentioned that. Mine has never auto paid, been at 3.5% since I started mining.
875  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [459 GH] MaxBTC.com Pool - Merged NMC, Zero Fee, DGM, LP, API, SSL, Port 80 on: April 23, 2012, 01:34:26 PM
I'm really liking this pool. The site is awesome and the stats are neat. Founds 2 blocks already, some great luck ( knock on wood, been quiet over the weekend ).

2 questions. Does autopayout work? Am I missing something?

On the block stats for the rewards, what does the asterisk mean by some people's names?
876  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Sell Bitcoins for paypal? on: April 22, 2012, 04:08:37 AM
Easiest I've come across is Spendbitcoins.com to amazon payments. Gets the highest mtgox rate when you cash out. Takes a week to clear but it's quick and convenient. I've put 150 coins through. So far so good.

Amazon payments doesn't charge fees even on credit cards to personal accounts. ( for the first $1,000 a months ). It's awesome.

PayPal is crap.
877  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good clock settings for XFX 5830, Sapphire 5830 and 5850? on: April 20, 2012, 08:20:56 PM
in cgminer in the conf make sure you are using the phatk kernel not the poclbm. worksize should be 128 or 256 vectors 1.
878  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: USD/BTC broke Resistance Level at $5? on: April 18, 2012, 03:42:20 PM
Good enough spike for me to sell 150 coins.
879  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Good clock settings for XFX 5830, Sapphire 5830 and 5850? on: April 18, 2012, 03:33:38 PM
I run my 5830's at 970-1000 and 300mhz ram. dropping the ram speeds can drastically drop the temperatures.

cgminer is nice because you can specify the ram clocks and gpu clocks in the conf file. You can also specify fans speeds. ( <85% for longevity )
