421  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] BFL Single (FPGA) for 8.5 BTC From Toronto on: May 26, 2013, 07:26:38 PM
Perhaps you should just quit thread crapping then.  I assure you, FPGA boards are selling for what is being asked.

And use 600-700 watts to do so. And a host PC that can fit them. The cards are not the full and only cost.
423  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTS]: Quad LX150 FPGAs (800+MH), 8 BTC shipped, accept PayPal/Credit Card on: May 26, 2013, 04:12:04 AM
I have a quantity of FPGA miners for sale.

They are quad LX150 boards that are physically similar to ZTEX 1.15y boards, but as pictured, are NOT ztex boards.  I find them to be higher quality boards that turn in higher speeds than my "real" 1.15y boards, though obviously YMMV.

I have a number of slimline heatsinks I will include in orders as long as I have some in stock.  If you want boards without heatsinks, take 0.25 btc off the price.

I will also accept PayPal and credit cards, though I'm not confident in my ability to accept non-US based credit cards (sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, and I haven't yet worked out the pattern).

I will ship for free with USPS Priority Mail or better, though if you want higher speed shipping I will also ship with UPS Global Express Safer or comparable for an added fee.

I am offering bulk discounts for more than 10 boards.

I will escrow if needed, but fees will be paid by the buyer.  I will send a photo of the actual boards, with a custom message, before I ship, and I guarantee shipment within 24h of receiving payment (assuming that doesn't fall on a Sunday, holiday, or other days I can't actually ship).  If you're not confident in my ability to deliver, you can always use PayPal or your credit card.

Prices in various currency options right now:
Bitcoin: 8.0 btc
PayPal: USD$1075
Credit Card: USD$1075

Do you have any shorter ones, or just the long ones?
425  Economy / Goods / Re: Bitmunitions.com - Secure ammunition re-seller that only accepts Bitcoins on: May 26, 2013, 01:17:13 AM
I was going to order as well (pick up $20 of .22 first), but given the responses in this thread, I think I'm going to hold off a bit...

If anyone receives their order, please post!
426  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Amagi Metals - Largest Selection of Gold & Silver for Bitcoins on: May 21, 2013, 04:44:52 AM
Good to know. I got stuck with the bitcoin checkout issues but they were resolved this morning  manually.

You could at least post the model of aircraft...
428  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Reset GPU without resetting rig on: May 14, 2013, 01:16:35 AM
It's mostly that the AMD drivers suck.

I'm guessing if you check your dmesg output you'll see something about an ASIC hang.  That's pretty much it for a GPU until it's re-initialized with a reboot.

Any plans for stocking 100oz silver bars at some point?
430  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Just purchased a ModMiner QUAD... on: May 12, 2013, 10:04:07 PM
Jon -

Were you ever able to successfully get the card working?
431  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Project: Stealth Mining Rig on: May 12, 2013, 10:03:03 PM
The case door fans push a lot of air into the card intake, and the front fans push a lot of air into the case.

I totally agree with you that it looks like it shouldn't work, but it does work just fine.  YMMV, and as noted, I wouldn't do it with AMD cards, but I've known people who packed 4 6990s into the same case and kept them perfectly cool while running.
432  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] ztex Single FPGA Miner or similar [Europe only] on: May 12, 2013, 06:04:46 PM
You probably don't want to pay what I'm asking.  I'm shipping full 4-FPGA miners for around $1500 and getting paid this rather regularly.  I can't keep the things in stock.

If you're willing to pay with bitcoin, I'd go a bit cheaper, but not by much.
433  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Project: Stealth Mining Rig on: May 12, 2013, 06:03:24 PM
No. Not unless you want to turn your case into an easy bake oven. 3 cards max. Each spaced evenly. Case must have good airflow and wire management. Your sketch is a perfect example of what not to do. The cards are not spaced at all and won't receive any fresh air due to:

1. being sandwiched together.
2. cable obstruction.

Actually, that case did work just fine to keep those cards cool.  It wasn't great, which is why I eventually moved to 3 card designs, but the biggest issues is that while nVidia cards have a nice step at the intake to deal with being crammed together, AMD cards don't, so don't cool nearly as well in that configuration.

The case door fans draw air IN - the cards suck air from that area, so blowing cool air into them helps a lot.

It works, but I don't use 4 cards in that configuration anymore for good reasons.
434  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Motherboard with onboard power/reset switch on: May 12, 2013, 05:12:03 PM
Most higher end "enthusiast" boards that support that many GPUs will have onboard power switches.  A better question is, "What board will support 4-6 GPUs properly spaced?"  There are a few options, most of which have the onboard switches.
435  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] ztex Single FPGA Miner or similar on: May 12, 2013, 05:07:03 PM
You could use a ModMiner Quad & remove the cards you don't need - they scale down just fine with fewer cards installed.  I'll have a few for sale here in the near future.
436  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Macbook Pro 20011 with broken Display on: May 12, 2013, 05:06:19 PM
I'll offer $250 shipped to the USA, paid in PayPal or bitcoin.  I repair laptops on a regular basis.
437  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: Project: Stealth Mining Rig on: May 12, 2013, 05:04:25 PM
If you try, you can cool 4 cards on air fully contained in a case.

http://blog.cryptohaze.com/2012/02/quad-gpu-builds-with-case-part-2.html

That said, I don't recommend it, and have since moved to 3 cards per system with 1 space between them for better cooling.  This is easier to power, easier to cool, and keeps cards significantly cooler.  This is the "standard build" now for the boxes I've got in a data center.
438  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: New FPGA rig or ugrade my gaming rig? on: May 12, 2013, 04:04:52 PM
Cards like that cost "If you have to ask you can't afford it."  They're also not going to be supported by the normal mining tools unless you port them to it.

If you're asking about it, you probably don't have the VHDL/Verilog experience to do it.
439  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: ASIC or FPGA miners in hand or with imminent arrival on: May 09, 2013, 05:12:44 PM
eBay disagrees. $1300 plus shipping might be doable.
440  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB: ASIC or FPGA miners in hand or with imminent arrival on: May 09, 2013, 02:51:13 PM
I still have a ModMiner Quad for sale.
