201  Economy / Speculation / Re: I know HOW TO FIX the RALLY! on: October 17, 2014, 12:20:43 AM
You all need to start selling now, then rally stops! Easy. Just as we fixed the CRASH.

Can you please stop the selling now?
202  Economy / Speculation / Re: If You're Not Buying Bitcoin Now... Then You're Just Stupid. on: October 16, 2014, 11:28:45 PM
I have seen instances where a homeless man refuses a new pair of shoes because he knows they will make him the target of thieves.  The same can be said for receipt of cash.  A homeless man knows he should spend all of the money he gets from begging that same day on things that cannot be stolen, like food/drink to be immediately consumed.  Anything not immediately consumed will be stolen that night while he sleeps.  Cash will be stolen.  No bank will give an account to someone who is truly homeless.  Banks require a home address.

A homeless man can use a library computer and localbitcoins to turn cash into Bitcoin and actually build up savings.  Bitcoin is the answer for the unbanked.

Now you got me thinking maybe I should take a homeless person to a public library, teach them how to use btc and deposit 0.1 btc in their wallet. Could be an interesting experiment.

Oh yeah, I've never had a homeless person reject an offering of cash from me.

No, they'll never reject it.  They'll simply spend any excess immediately.  Spend it and immediately consume or have it stolen.  Your cash will be spent first on food.  Anything left over will probably be spent on smokes and booze.  To the homeless, it's use it or lose it.  Bitcoin can change that.

Fascinating.  There and gone.  Thomas, what do you know?
204  Economy / Speculation / Re: Critical Levels - EW analysis on: October 16, 2014, 11:08:14 PM
This would be more useful, and less prone to interference, if you stuck to larger timeframes.  Care to post some analysis using daily candles?

what if there is 10,000 unverified account each with and avg of 1000$ that need to be withdrawn in BTC  Grin

They've stated these accounts are all a year or more old.  Want to restate your guess on average balance?
206  Economy / Speculation / Re: If You're Not Buying Bitcoin Now... Then You're Just Stupid. on: October 16, 2014, 10:36:57 PM
Savings can be withdrawn into cash with localbitcoins later.  This makes for a great savings account for the unbanked.

208  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you need an options exchange? on: October 16, 2014, 05:10:22 AM
There aren't any yet.  That would make you the first, like Bitcoin.
209  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you need an options exchange? on: October 16, 2014, 04:08:20 AM
Multisig =/= decentralized
210  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you need an options exchange? on: October 16, 2014, 03:39:35 AM
It would be good to be able to see what the offers are on options for various different time periods/contracts, but I couldn't see it on your site.

You can actually see after login or from the screenshots https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=821889.new;topicseen#new. But I am planning to put them on the homepage so you can immediately see. There are BTC/USD, BTC/CNY, and BTC/EUR. For each of them, there are 6 time periods from Monday to Saturday.

I am planning to add more longer periods. Do you have any suggestions?

Make this a decentralized exchange and I'm there.

idk gold was pricing in a zombie apocalypse...

Hey, they're working on it...

Rabies-Flu hybrid covers the onslaught, though not the "undead" aspect.

No phone number or address on the Contact link.  Just a "support" email address.

398 . ButIDidntCoverMyShortsYet!

Without daytraders, I'd have to buy all my Bitcoin from miners or offer exorbitant prices to "hodlers" (sic).  Thank you for the liquidity.
214  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wouldn't it be nice... on: October 15, 2014, 11:43:39 PM
Oda, would you mind sharing the tools you are using for automating this?  I'm looking to recreate your workflow.  I use Tradestation for equities, options, and futures.  But I haven't found anything decent for Bitcoin yet.

215  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when BTC is 1M each on: October 15, 2014, 11:35:30 PM
You can be sure if I ever make it to the real moon, I will be planting a BTC flag and posing for a picture to reproduce the popular gif.  I will direct in my Will that anyone receiving any part of my estate or living trust is obliged to perform the same duty and add the same clause to their own Wills.

Are people like you (who want this new system) going to be the ones to be charitable, or are you going to leave it to the "suckers" oops, I'm sorry, "kind hearts" like me to do it?

Sounds like a great way to pass the buck, and I couldn't disagree with you more. Relying on the charity of others seems like a great way to have absolutely no guarantee that shit will get done.
Hm, why would you think you're a sucker for being charitable?

A) I'm saying that's how I think people who agree with you will see me. "Cool, I saved some money on my taxes this year thanks to suckers like that person."

B) You never answered the question: would YOU be the one to do it? Would you even consider doing it? What if it were mandated that everyone had to put in their time? Would you still like the plan then?

A mandate to perform a service is slavery.
217  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking on: October 15, 2014, 04:47:11 AM
Mandating services be provided to those who do not pay is no different than slavery to those who perform the services.

I have a torrent client, but the file I download shouldn't be a .exe should it? There's like 9 download buttons all with different URLs.

Paste this into your browser for the Torrent:

Ok, I don't think we're going to head down for much of a dip.  And I don't like others buying up my Bitcoin.  I'm restarting accumulation at this price level.

The rocket will launch after the countdown.  That means page 9876.
