201  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 16, 2015, 06:26:11 PM
I could not find anything to suggest they ever finished development on the L1, but maybe you have some info I am unaware of.

Just like you can not find anything about the S:Next-one, they are self mining with the L1 ......
202  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Any Standalone Miners with WiFi capability? on: July 16, 2015, 03:30:33 PM
Antminer S3 and S1 are both WIFI. They both can be finicky but adding an external antennae usually sorts them out.
I wouldn't vouch for going for a WIFI miner though, and that bitmain decided to drop it for their (now EOL'd) flagship S5 is telling.

Thanks, I looked at the S3+, but it said it was Ethernet as well.   Do you happened to have a link to someplace I can buy the S3 that comes with WiFi?

I share internet with my neighbor and do not have physical access to the router, so I need WIFI.

I'm not sure why they would drop it from their product line, as it's always better having more options, especially with a standalone unit.

All S3's come with WIFI in addition to an ethernet port, but because they are enclosed, the connection tends to be unreliable, however, that can easily be fixed by adding an external antennae (which should cost around $5).

You can also get a router yourself and bridge it with/to your neighbour's router then connect your rigs to your router.

There are loads of S3's (and the variants) on sale on ebay, amazon, gumtree etc, just do a search on any.
203  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [2900 TH] Kano CKPool (kano.is) from the cgminer devs [0.9% PPLNS] on: July 16, 2015, 01:49:01 PM

The change does have a long term affect on our % luck, but it doesn't affect what is really 'Luck' - which isn't exactly what pools report Tongue

However, it is also true to simply say that running ckpool has a long term effect on the % luck since it handles block changes very fast.

I've actually had the same thing on my mind since ck posted the message about the changes made (I believe that was during the "attack" on the network). I won't speculate as to what the changes may have been as it is to a large extent over my head, but suspected the changes would reduce the variance of the pool's luck (ultimately, as you say, seemingly improving the pool's luck, ie smooth it).

Now I know ck said those changes are being kept for the pool to have a better advantage over other solo pools, but wouldn't adding (some of) those features to a distributed proxy (which I believe distributed ck pool code has) go even further to improve / smooth the pool's luck to all our benefit?
(just a thought ...)

205  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] Bitfury ASIC sales in EU and Europe on: July 15, 2015, 10:58:02 PM
Hi guys!

Was going through the office and noticed still have some M-boards and H-cards left! Anyone interested?

Name your price, seeing bitmain are in the doldrums and sfards are aiming for your mantle.
206  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 1Ths Dragon Miner Raspberry PI Firmware on: July 15, 2015, 08:29:24 PM
^^^^ And that is the plague of signature campaigns striking .... basically nothing to add to (not even negate)  what has already been said.

AMT_Miners ..... 9 months since last post! This thread IS something .....
208  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 1Ths Dragon Miner Raspberry PI Firmware on: July 15, 2015, 03:49:12 PM
thx for the reply all off you, s2 syndrome what is that
If the diff is set low, then the software on the rig may get into a loop (for lack of a better word) trying to submit so many shares in a very short space of time that it crashes the rig before the pool has a chance of adjusting share diff. I personally always set my rigs' diffs higher than their rated speed (as I know the pools I mine on will lower / set it appropriately after a while).
209  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Sfards: SF100-the first 28nm Dual-Mode Miner gets into mass production on: July 15, 2015, 10:16:00 AM
Please Be Careful!!!!
We only have one official SFARDS Skype account sfardsservice. If there is any other similar account such as sfardsservice [ASIC market] contacting you. Don’t listen to them and please double check the account you have talk with and make sure you add the right one Smiley

Pricing on SF100 single units please!?

S5 is sold out...
S4+ is sold out...

Please wait the official announcement for any new hardware.

At the moment, U3 is the only miners in stock

A picture says a thousand words ..... button for S5 is active, ditto the price hike

211  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: 1Ths Dragon Miner Raspberry PI Firmware on: July 14, 2015, 09:14:24 PM
al sorted out, thx for the help.

one last question,
I can set the difficulty in thr gui of the miner, what does it need to be for example f2 pool.
if i look at my dashboard at f2 it does not reach 1 th/s

greetings

Set it to at least half the speed that you've seen it hash (or what it is rated to hash) to be on the safe side, i.e if you see 1Th/s, set it at 512 and the pool will take it from there; that way you avoid the classic S2 syndrome!
212  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 14, 2015, 09:00:51 PM
So much for that the buy button on the S5 Meltdown series works again at the time of this post. oh well I guess no S7 or S6 yet.

There is your proof if you wanted any ...... S:Next-one is a 1.5Th/s rig for $600.
213  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 14, 2015, 08:17:34 PM

Is that actually a bitmain chappie?
I doubt the S:Next-one will have the same spontaneous-self-combustion bug that the now discontined S5 has ... but I suppose we'll have to wait and see.
214  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 14, 2015, 07:39:32 PM
Was just thinking if the earlier "rumour" of the S5 price going to $600 having been mis-interpreted, but that the price was, rather, for the S:Next-one.
Seeing both the S5 and S4+ have been withdrawn from market at the same time, and assuming that the earlier price leak was for the S:Next-one, then that would make it a stock 1.5Th/s machine at the mid point of the pricing for both the S5 and S4+ for the rumoured $600 (or in magnitudes there-of).

I shall be watching the used S5 market (or alternate gear) should that be the case ....
215  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 14, 2015, 06:30:57 PM
^^^ Makes you think of the people that bought at $439 ...... was that a master-stroke on their part seeing they'll definitely be getting vouchers worth (by bitmain's standards) over twice the short term increment ($439 - $399 = $40), aka approx $100 voucher off the S:Next-one? Now that would be something .....
216  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 14, 2015, 05:32:47 PM
Hmmmm, The s4+ and the S5 seem to be greyed out AT THE TIME OF THIS POST maybe the S6 and S7 or upgrades are coming out we will see.

Good spot there ....! Yep, S6 cum S:Next-one is definitely due any moment now. Ooops ... squeeky-bum-time .... can't contain the excitement.
217  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 13, 2015, 04:22:29 PM
At the current $399 price, the S5 is $0.346/GH at stock freq (or $0.381/GH at $439) - not too far off the advertised but either way not what it says (anymore) in the thread title.
PS. Is having a signature campaign qualification to post irrelevant rebutals (verging on spam)?
218  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: OFFICIAL CGMINER mining software thread for linux/win/osx/mips/arm/r-pi 4.9.2 on: July 13, 2015, 03:17:03 PM
@Kano, any chance of  updating the S1 cgminer with the power-reboot fix you applied to the S3 cgminer?
219  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 13, 2015, 03:06:02 PM

I paid way less than that and got free shipping.

Yep I agree .... I paid a total of BTC 1.1 (that's including shipping) for my first one (after applying a voucher I got from no other than dog1965 !). And remember those earlier batches were regarded as price skimming ...... so what would you call the latterday pricing on the extended batch 5 if not a price rip-off?
220  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S5: 1155GH(+OverClock Potential), In Stock $0.319/GH & 0.51W/GH on: July 12, 2015, 09:42:19 AM
Lets take a bet on when SHITMAIN will raise it again.

I bet you (and I know their last one was less than a day ago), but if the BTC rate hovers over $300 and looks like holding there, then there will be another price hike today.

Its called "preparing the field" for the next crop of S7

If you can push up the price of the old hardware, then you can "Justify" the massive cost of the "next Product"

My forecast fwifw:-   The  S7 will enter at $700 (3BTC) and the S5 will drop to $300

It most likely is the case that the S7 is on the horizon. I for one am out of this game for a while purely on the pricing, and seeing bitmain control the market to the extent of being able to dictate competitors' pricing, I may be out for a while yet. If however you are right and the S5 drops to (what now is 1BTC) on the S7's release, dependent on the effect the release has on the BTC rate, I may be back in sooner with the S5 or SF100 (certainly not the S7).
