Sorry but there already exists a very well functioning secure online wallet blockchain.info. And they don't charge fees.
1265  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: August 15, 2013, 06:59:00 PM
If you have enough time then you can make 10 accounts on this forum and use these accounts for signature link. You have to post 2 comments everyday on every account to get monthly payment.

Best of luck.

This should be banned.. Those messages are most likely nothing more than nonsense/trolling/shit.

Well hello!
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My Bitcoin Note Design on: August 15, 2013, 04:17:54 PM
Nice design. I like the background. Why not move one of the QR code to the back side that looks a tad empty now ?
Also I am a bit puzzled by the pi letter at the end of the word bitcoin (that reads bitcoip in greek). The nu letter is more appropriate it seems.

I agree with that pi letter. I think that all the text and data and qr codes etc should be on front side. Just like playing cards  Cool

Welcome.

If you can, you just now need to wait 4 hours (or be online 4 hours, don't remember) to get whitelisted.

Quote
You can only post in the Newbie and Local sub-forums till you have made one post and waited 4 hours. This post must be substantial: at least several sentences. The other two restrictions are you need 1 post to be able to send a PM and 10 posts to put a link in your sig.
1269  Other / Meta / Re: [CENSORSHIP] Matthew N. Wright on: August 15, 2013, 02:33:39 PM
There is a full list here.

Thanks.

1. I think Theymos did right by banning Matthew from posting (I enjoyed MNW's posts but had no idea about the bet case), yet at the same time allowing him to send and receive PMs.

2. Ability to receive PMs and replying to them is essential for Matthew to communicate with his creditors (people he has financial liabilities towards) and essential for his creditors to reach him.

3. As soon as Matthew reaches settlements with all the creditors and pays them, the ban may be lifted.

He didn't get banned for that bet, he got banned for his "troll messages"/trolling.

I see people who have scammed being here in the forums as Hero members without any tags, just carrying a little neg rating from theymos. For example bulanula who scammed over 22 bitcoins, had scammer tag for a while..

Is this evidenced somewhere?

There is a full list here.

I guess he cannot update it anymore.
I see Anduck was in the list... So, Anduck, how did it end for you?

He paid me (not the sum I bet but a little part of it, something still!). I agreed this as a settlement for his debt to me.
1271  Other / Meta / Re: Group Buy Section on: August 15, 2013, 01:27:23 PM
I agree that the old/closed group buys should get archived. Or maybe sticky all the open group buys? And let only Full/Sr/Hero members make group buys?
1272  Other / Meta / Re: [CENSORSHIP] Matthew N. Wright on: August 15, 2013, 12:39:33 PM
Theymos, I don't think you did yourself a favor here.
I am disappointed. And now, for the first time, considering moving on elsewhere.

Ente

Is there another place with active community?

Theymos should listen to the community. Community has donated a lot bitcoins to this forum, though I don't know are those coins used to pay salary to theymos or something.
1273  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: ACTIVITY on: August 15, 2013, 12:17:46 PM
Oh no.. NO!!!

Account activity = Post count or 14*(2 week periods of atleast 1 message posted), whichever is lower. Updates every XX:00 and XX:30.
1274  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: hi on: August 15, 2013, 11:31:19 AM

The size of the QR code depends not only on the size of the data stored but also on the strength of the error protection.

Yeah, I think it's best to use the best error protection (level H).

1277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best practices for storing BTC safely on: August 15, 2013, 11:11:25 AM
Make a paper wallet with secure offline OS that never touched or will touch internet, there are plenty of good guides for this. But remember, when you spend money from the paper wallet (by scanning/writing the private key from the paper to an online computer, the private key is not secure anymore).
1278  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Increasing account activity? on: August 15, 2013, 10:37:46 AM
Account activity = Post count or 14*(2 week periods of atleast 1 message posted), whichever is lower. Updates every XX:00 and XX:30.

1280  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Yeah im a noob to bitcointalk on: August 15, 2013, 10:04:50 AM
Im waiting for cheaper prices..

And does the price of these will decrease more than you can mine with these USB Block Errupters in a given time?

If I understood right... No, they will not ever(?) pay back their cost but I am intending on buying one for fun, knowing it will not make profit. But I won't buy it until they're cheap enough.
