161  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Expect new IRS crypto surveillance to come with a surge in confiscation on: November 09, 2023, 09:09:09 PM
The Justice Department is claiming that it's "critical" for it to have the power to seize cryptocurrency from Americans — even if a judge never signs off.

Seems that they don't know how Cryptocurrencies works

That only can happen if you surrender your seeds to them. Never do that guys, never surrender your seeds to them store it securely.

It's sad to see that some of those businesses don't hold their coins for a long time, i know they have bills to pay but they have missed the opportunity to hold half of a quarter of each TX.

I wonder if they are hitting the wall right now.

Motivation for Beginners, @Bitcointalk.org Users

When I saw the title for this topic I think that i was about to read something about motivation to stay in the forum... but no.

Sometimes I feel a little motivated to post here, I try a lot to find good technical topics to write something about my own experience but most of those are already answered by the same regular users of the forum in most cases they already write what i want to write and i don't see point to repeat the same over and over.

Acabo de darme cuenta de que es una cuenta falsa, lol  Roll Eyes
165  Local / Esquina Libre / Me sigue Chun en Twitter on: November 09, 2023, 01:53:49 AM

166  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Eng: Tutorial] Kali NetHunter - Linux on Android on: November 09, 2023, 12:42:48 AM
I have dex on my Samsung phone connected to my smart TV with a keyboard it looks like a mini PC but it only supports the APK app.
So I just want to know if this can be cast or connected to a smart TV

It should support all the apps that are available for termux.

I did that on the Dex Environment of the Samsung on my Note 10+ and it works well, but the Linux Desktop environment was extremely slow maybe because it is like virtualized OS inside of another OS.
167  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Eng: Tutorial] Kali NetHunter - Linux on Android on: November 08, 2023, 11:06:32 PM
Once months ago I did that with some other Linux Desktop environment, it was just XFCE under Termux but it was extremely slow and my phone is or was a high end phone (Samsung Galaxy Note 10+).

So maybe some users will get disappointment with those Desktop environments under Android

If I understand correctly this basically runs two operating systems on your smartphone, Android and Kali Linux?

Yes that is what they are doing, but if you ask me there is no need to that for some users that will be some complex, I use PGP and other Linux CLI tools on android - Termux every day, for example  i use it as my password manager with this tool: passwordstore an open source password manager

For me there is no need to use those tools under GUI environments. Maybe i need to do a video tutorial of how to use PGP/GPG in Termux without GUI, If you ask me it is more efficient and simple, but some people simple doesn't like command line tools...  Huh Roll Eyes

I feel stupid with CLI applications, it's just that.

168  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some business/developers misunderstand how bitcoin fees works on: November 08, 2023, 04:37:33 AM
It's indeed frustrating to see some businesses or developers misunderstanding how Bitcoin fees work, even during low congestion periods on the mempool. Sending excessive fees doesn't make miners work faster. The miners have their own pace.
While some entities may have the resources to spend excessive fees without concern, their main goal should be profit maximization. This problem can be caused by poor fee estimators in some cases, but in others, it's a result of poor developer or business policies.

In any case, when you need to make a Replace-By-Fee (RBF) or Full RBF transaction, you only need to increment your fee by 1 sat/vB, not by hundreds. -

It is a summarize? It said exactly what I said, just paraphrased and maybe rewritten by chatgpt...

4. Can cryptocurrencies be subject to theft or hacks and how does one protect against them?

Yes, cryptocurrencies can be subject to theft and hacking, and there have been many cases of people losing their cryptocurrencies due to false exchanges, theft of private keys, or electronic fraud in virtual wallets used to pay with these currencies. Protecting cryptocurrencies involves a high degree of security and caution, including storing private keys in secure locations, investing in hardware wallets, and using secure online payment methods.

Here we need to add that cryptocurrencies also can be lost by the owner if he doesn't do a proper backup. There is a lot of Lost bitcoin because this motive.

but it is important to remember that transactions on the blockchain network are recorded and are completely public activities, so any attempt to use cryptocurrencies to Illicit transactions can be easily tracked and detected.

We can avoid begin tracked if we have a good coin-control an if we make transactions like Coin-join and STONEWALL, also we can use Mixers here.

7. How can I start investing in cryptocurrencies and what precautions should I take?

To start investing in cryptocurrencies, a process similar to any investment is required, including selecting a reliable trading platform, investing in a currency, and the hosting and security procedures necessary to maintain the investment. As a precaution, it is advisable to thoroughly research the trading platforms and cryptocurrencies where you wish to invest, and also diversify the investment to minimize risks and minimize exposure to large losses.

Just lets to remember that exchanges also can be hacked.

Not your keys not your coins

So what's the point of making such scripts ?

They believe that nobody else tried their "original ideas" before.
171  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] USDT [N] BTC on: November 07, 2023, 03:59:14 PM
I don't know how secure others will be trading over here but I believe this should be posted in your local sections then you will see more people who will want to trade with you, and gain more trust since is same locality. Have you tried doing that at your location sections most times people who knows you would actually wants to trade with you with ease.

WTF with you? This secction is a Currency exchange no?

And yes i have this same Post in my local section, but nobody answer there
172  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] USDT [N] BTC on: November 07, 2023, 03:35:46 PM
Maybe because I do send binance to binance so I believe the fee will be lesser but sending to another exchange then we should expect to the fee up to what you mentioned. However, usdt withdrawal to another binance exchange is free so if you have binance exchange and the next person is also using binance no fee will be attached.

That is! I always try to send it to my external wallet (auto-custodual), yes binance to binance should be free always, actually is sad that yo pay 1$ in bitcoin to send it to another binance wallet.

I try before to buy USDT on binance and exchange it for bitcoin in another way but as you mention there is a fee for the exchange in CEX and DEX

I am still looking for a trade.
173  Other / Meta / Re: TalkImg.com - Image hosting for BitcoinTalk on: November 07, 2023, 01:54:31 PM
The error message could be improved, but webp isn't supported by the forum.

The HTML5 Canvas have the feature of Accept almost any media format and also save the current image in standard formats like jpg and png.

The page should detect if the input file is WEBP and process it to PNG or something like that, that should be transparent for the end user.

OP if you need a hand with that let me know.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When we are going to be able to have fees between 0.01 an 1.00 sat/vB on: November 07, 2023, 01:26:16 PM
Here is the relevant code: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/d9007f51a7480246abe4c16f2e3d190988470bec/src/policy/policy.h#L57
Code:
static constexpr unsigned int DEFAULT_MIN_RELAY_TX_FEE{1000};

Thank you for point to that part of the code.

I think super low fees are just a dream for the future.

Yes i know that is why i talk about a Hypothetic case

but I think we will not see Bitcoin fee is lower than 1sat/vbyte since 2 sat/vbyte is already low when the Bitcoin price hit $20K.

We recently have some period of 1sat/vB but it gone again, the reason why we don't see anything under 1sat/vB is because default minimum value is that. As some users mention, it need to be change to allow less.

Thank you all for your replies.
175  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: [H] USDT [N] BTC on: November 07, 2023, 11:52:15 AM
So far from binance exchange you withdrawal fee won't be more than 1$

That is not true for Bitcoin, for Bitcoin the fee is bigger, they charge you some fee like 2-3 USD + network fee

That is only true if you withdraw USDT, they charge you 1 USDT.

Si tienes screenshots de la conversación puedes publicarla como evidencia para poderle colocar trust negativo, aunque este tipo de usuarios se abren cuentas al por mayor para estafar
177  Other / Politics & Society / Re: UK social security policy that reveal mindset of future CBDC on: November 06, 2023, 11:00:12 PM
china like many countries including the UK/US has private companies that use criminal records checks and private business information sharing, to create a social credit system(blacklist).. where businesses decide if they can trust/suspect their customer. but not at government level

That is actually the Social Credit system that I was talking, thank you.

For all other check this full video: The Truth About China's Social Credit System

And yes that is maybe optional for some cases, but in the future it may be enforced, we don't have way to know. dictatorships will always wonder us.
