Why don't you like coins with POS?
What are PoS coins back by? Nothing. Its an illusion that they are worth something. Endless new once will pop up forever because they cost nothing to create. Uh... how is this different from any other crypto? POS is coming to a coin near you, unless traders and manipulators just keep squeezing it forever. POW is a tax on holders, No matter how slow the coin-generation it dilutes your value every block every day. Its also centralized due to mining consolidating smaller and smaller. POS is true asic resistance (can't mine it ha!) Its also true decentralization. Its also non-inflationary if its zero/low interest (blackcoin is only 1%) POW is outdated, its first generation crypto tech with first generation wasteful-ness and security risks. (51% is a real and daily threat. Lets see you 51% blackcoin) It just takes a long time for the the world to catch up. Btc is still new to 99.8% of humanity. So it will continue to get first mover recognition.. for a while. |

+1 If Blackhalo will work we wil get REAL investors not PnD squads. Good if they dump for Cloak real BC investors can buy now in 20-25k are which looks preaty strong. More BC is living more people we are getting on board. Clones like clones week without ninja lunch would be  lost for them.. Funy that they added Cloack and Crypt 2 coins who fights each other in anon technology. They will eat each other volume. BC is targeted by more people who invest in NXT or PPC bishares master coin such type of investors. The problem is: the more often they do this, people will see BC rise and immediately fall again. Very few new investors will notice that the result of all this Mintpal madness is a 3k higher floor after 4 weeks. They will only see instantly killed uptrends. Nobody who is serious about this coin should leave a single BC @Mintpal as soon as possible. Lets hope that will be very soon. I tend to agree, they are in the business to make money, sure however I am in the business of adding value to Blackcoin. And I don't like seeing that value sucked away by showing favoritism to PnD coins, Plenty of other places for that. But they don't care. The migration will happen at some point. And in the end, Will they think Whitecoin, PinkCoin,Cloak etc was worth it? |

No multipools! maybe I missed something but this fly's in the face of the whole concept. If people want to mine MIN let them join one of the pools already in place through pow phase? Tell me why a multipool should be allowed ...I'm not seeing it.
I'm not sure you understand, the multipool mines other coins and sells them to BUY MIN from the exchange. It does not mine MIN directly. |

I have hold my PPC for more than half year, but may I say POS=Proof of Shit?
The interest is very low, one can rarely get the interest without massive PPC's.
Even if Peercoin gives you no "interest" wouldn't you own some just for its security against vulnerability of a pure POW coin? Artificially high POS rate is just inflation that pushes down the exchange rate. I believe PoS is a work in progress, but it seems to me that very low interest is important. There needs to be incentive to keep wallets open and staking, you will get more total compounding interest if it is open all the time in a coin like Blackcoin. So there needs to be incentive to stake. But too much interest will mimic the same inflation as PoW and I think lower levels of inflation are one of POS's biggest benefits. |

Bitcoin vs Blackcoin
You can buy them both directly on exchanges
You can still mine bitcoin directly, However it requires massive investment in specialized hardware to hope of ROI, (massive investment)
You can obviously indirectly mine Blackcoin from exchanges with numerous mining platforms not just specialized mining hardware, creating a immensely lower point of entry as a function of mining cost vs Blackcoin reward against market cap. While this is a add-on to blackcoin itself, not part of its codebase (its no longer PoW mineable) It is the current state of reality in crypto today and likely for as long as Blackcoin commands attention. If all other altcoins vanished miners would still mine BTC directly to sell for blackcoin with greatly dimished returns. But possibly still greater gain in BC against market cap, than with BTC vs marketcap.
So, allowing the blackcoin multipools into the equation is leaps and bounds cheaper and easier to get blackcoin with your mining hardware than it is BTC.

Bitcoin mints at 3600 BTC perday, At current market cap that is about 2.3 MILLION dollars of supply creating constant sell pressure in a agnostic market. Blackcoin mints at 1% interest per year. If Blackcoin had
the same 8.5B usd market cap BTC does, that would be around 230,000 THOUSAND dollars of new supply created daily. Roughly ten times less depreciation if there the market is stagnant in-regards to demand.
This means that you are in a race to the bottom with PoW, unless you are standing at the very top of the mining/minting game.
AND those new coins ONLY go to the miners that can keep up with current tech and price of mining. Whereas if you hold any amount of BlackCoin that 1% is paid to you. Not a big mining farm, but you.
Why is PoW more fair?!?! PoW is the epitome of rich get richer, Previous poster was correct, PoW TAXES the holders that can't mine if you factor in that many mined coins will be insta-dumped soon as mature. Gotta pay for those million dollar mining farms after all.

there is no blacksheild yet, And even if there was how could it be 'more' abused than our current situation. If a big dumper wants to take on the Shield, go right ahead. It will severely diminish they're coin supply in doing so and everyone will know you don't often get a chance to buy coins below the shield.
Why have thin support? Only to lure out the big dumpers at the worst time? To hell with that, anyone who wants to sell this coin is crazy to me, and they should sell it sooner than later.

Me promoting it I'm sure many of you are already aware but often for the cost of one BTC Busoni will list xlb, just have someone talk over details and work a deal with him either via email or polo's irc. I checked your volume on bittrex I can't see a reason he wouldn't list it already but if you guys pool together a single btc you could probably make it happen today or this weekend if desired. I almost believe Polo has missed its chance now, XLB will hit 200 BTC volume easy today, maybe same/more tomorrow on one small exchange. Now our tweets are shifting to Mint instead of Polo. |

Why bigger exchanges have not added is becoming a mystery. We've hit critical mass, we are nearly 160btc volume on ONE SMALL exchange. Imagine what we would do on another exchange with tens of thousands of new buyers. Most of crypto does not even know what XLB is yet.

Can somebody bring some clarity into this: In what way is Liberycoin anonymous in the way it's coded today? Does it have Zerocoin implementations, or is it removed?
I'm potentionally investing in a few coins, but the information I've found so far is really ambiguous.

Its really simple actually, I can save you a ton of reading: LibertyCoin launched with the Zerocoin libraries in the code waiting further development. With the intention of implementing anonymous transactions once the code was mature. However the OP was worded in such a way many had thought it was implemented and working. After many pages of confusion and the OP being uncertain how to answer many of the questions due to having a temporarily un-reach-able Lead Dev created a FUD nightmare that we are just getting out of. Combine this with a pool having trouble and holding a bunch of coins it caused a massive dump from multipools who mined the coin knocking the price down. If the OP was worded differently, and there was no early pool trouble I think this coin would be at 10k Sats and rising fast. Instead what we have is a severely undervalued coin gaining traction everyday in what I would consider to be a fantastic launch. Moving forward, it has been discovered that Zerocoin code may not be finished in the future. And the community has rallied a large bounty to hire a developer to take over finishing some-type of anonymous transaction method for LibertyCoin. The bounty will continue to grow until developers sign on so it will happen. We also have a Multipool in the works and are currently consistently the highest volume coin on Bittrex. Its only a matter of time before Poloneix adds XLB. To the moon they say... |

LibertyCoin is dropping price right now.  and then someone bought them all back up.  Everyone push this coin on twitter, Reddit etc, we need to get on more exchanges, Bittrex is great but its a small market. How many buyers are available? If this coin hits mintpal it could be 10k sats almost over night with massive volume due to its rarity and fast PoS alone. |
