I did a bit of research into the premine and thought I'd share it with people because I found it pretty interesting... A lot of the premine hasn't been spent or even claimed! It's been sent to addresses that haven't even received it yet. All of these examples have been taken by following block 1 (with 270,000,000 premine in) through all the transactions until the end of the chain. First 50mSecond 50m40m Unclaimed (the ~10m output ends up unredeemed)Third 50mSome 18.5m unclaimedThere are a few more: ~15m5m #15m #2~4m2.5mThis all tallies up to a massive 240,000,000 of the original 270,000,000 premine that hasn't even been touched yet. One thing I got from this is that it isn't the dev that's dumping... Most of the transactions leading up to the last one with the unclaimed amounts were small amounts that looked like giveaways with a few bigger transactions of a couple million to what could be personal accounts (and one exchange where it had a LOT of inputs/outputs). The only bad thing that you could perhaps take from this is that only 30,000,000 out of the 270,000,000 has been spent (on giveaways and perhaps some on personal too, I have no way of knowing what was given out and what's been kept/moved around by dev etc obviously). Thought it was interesting and would share with you guys. Disclaimer: This is all my own research and opinion, draw your own conclusions from it.Edit: Could also have missed some transactions in my search so that more is unclaimed than I have statedInteresting research. I would like to inject though that we cannot assume that the 240M are even in Dev control anymore. We simply just don't know. A big portion of those coins could have already been ear-marked for behind the scenes activities. Such as share-holders. Deposits on future infrastructure etc etc. I would like to assume that core devs themselves are hoping to hold onto a 'large' portion of the premine themselves as this showcases extremely passionate long-term optimism.

I'm trying to figure out how to stop the daemon so I can restart it, I did everything as directed but it looks like I'm hashing without being connected to the network? I'm hashing, but there is zero blocks and the different is than my local pc.
write vertcoind stop in order to stop it. Then if you cant connect add more addnodes. Those worked fine for me. just add more addnodes by copy pasting the cd........conf thing with more addnodes and pressing enter. Than start again with vertcoind --daemon You are fantastic! I'm up now, wow the diff must be very high now! No found blocks yet with several computers! 84 million is a lot of coins... Why so hard right now?

putty is always access denied...
When exackly? When you just put your IP on putty? Droplet takes a minute or two to be created before you can connect. Sometimes DO fucks a bit and you may need to restart droplet. At worse case scenario you may need to destroy and create a new one but this will cost 1 hour of the droplet... if access denied is poped at password, are you sure you put the pass correct without spaces? But anyway i think a restart or delte/create will fix it...it has happened to me before and it is DO's problems.... I got in, I have no clue, now I am doing the unix makefile scrypt, its taking its sweet time! I'm sweating over here!
