After 10 days of running, our Ethereum stratum pool is used by 35% of Ethereum miners.
We encourage all to switch to stratum. It is 5-10% more profitable than standard getwork and uses far less bandwidth.

We simplified creating and managing workers in our pool. We removed link between coin and worker. From now on every worker can be used in any of our pools.
If worker's payout method is not available in pool you are minig, your rewards will be calculated using default method for that pool (in most cases PPLNS)

Today we added RBPPS 4% mode to Ethereum pool.
Round-Based Pay Per Share. Like PPS, but payouts are delayed till a block is found and confirmed by the network.
If a found block gets orphaned, earnings relative to it are not paid.
If block becomes uncle earnings related to that block are paid.

I gave it a try again with 200Mhs but got only 0.4 eth in 2hours... switched back to other pool.
Coinotron uses PPLNS reward system in Ethereum pool. Due to variance of that method 2 hours is not enough to properly assess payouts. |

We have temporary solution. An hour ago we increased share difficulty 4x. Server's stats show that in case of fastest miners ( mostly multi GPU rigs ) their hashrate increased significantly (10%-20%)
There is disadvantage to this method. Slower miners will submit their shares less frequently, thus pool estimates of their hasrates will be less precise.
We are planning to introduce new, multi-port pool. It will provide special ports for slower miners. The only problem is, that ethminer must be modified to securely support this feature.
Meanwhile we extended our 0% fee promotion to Sep 15 !!!

pull is good, but there is a problem. 1 when the video card is the speed of the program and worker is the same. To pull 4 cards do not work loads. And the MSI Afterburner shows that the loading of the video card to coinotron not 99%. This can be seen and the GPU-Z. The video card does not work for 99% and miners lost profit. It's not just me. but others also write. the average loss is about 20%
with these settings nanopool / ethpool.org loud video card at 99%.
Thank you for detailed description of the issue. So it seems to be problem with multi-card rigs. I will investigate it. |

i am mining VTC on the pool but hashrate shown on pool side is half of what miner is showing. I am using djm34 miner on Win7. There are still no mining calculators nor do i have any idea how much i should be earing so i can't see if its just how hashrate is calculated on the pool or i am loosing half the hashrate. Please can you help me with this & check out if there is an issue on the pool. Regards Sam Very strange. What miner are you using? Maybe your miner is producing a lot of HW errors ?
