801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - testers needed for Stratum beta tests on: January 24, 2013, 07:01:15 PM
Thanks a lot for testing Smiley
I'm planning to introduce Stratum step by step, starting from fastest coin available Smiley
My test miner submitted so far 102 shares, 0% stales! Meanwhile there was 42 new TRC blocks found. Such amount creates huge odds of getting stale work. Nonetheless 0% stales Smiley

though that won't tell u a lot

Are you using this version: guiminer-20121203.exe ? Older might not support stratum.

cgminer 2.9.7 I get an error "JSON not subscribed"
(leaving for a couple hours, I'll test again when I get back)

Fixed. Should accept connections now.
804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - testers needed for Stratum beta tests on: January 24, 2013, 04:58:54 PM
We have started beta tests of Stratum server. Currently we are testing TRC mining.

If have some spare MH please point your miners to coinotron.com:3333 and help us find last bugs Smiley

Just log on to Coinotron website and create TRC worker ( if you don't have one), then use it in one of following miners:

cgminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=28402.0 or
poclbm https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1334.0 or
guiminer https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3878.0

Example:
cgminer -o stratum+tcp://coinotron.com:3333 -u workername -p password

Thanks

Website just had some connection problem on.

Also do you guys have IRC ?

Sorry for that outage. I was applying security patches. Unfortunately it took little more time to complete than I estimated Wink
We don't have our own IRC channel, but I'm always present on #litecoin
806  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - NEW FreiCoin (FRC) pool !!!!! on: January 03, 2013, 11:17:48 PM
It would be very helpful if you increase number of decimal places for BTC/day to 3 or 4. Two places don't provide enough info anymore.

Done.
807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - NEW FreiCoin (FRC) pool !!!!! on: December 31, 2012, 10:13:31 AM

FYI
Usage of PPS and RBPPS workers :

          PPS     RBPPS
BTC     20%      80%     ( 1 month after introduction of PPS/RBPPS workers )
LTC     75%      25%
PPC     40%      60%
TRC     20%      80%
FRC     40%      60%

Good news!

Payouts are fully tested and enabled Smiley
810  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [Pool] Coinotron - NEW FreiCoin (FRC) pool !!!!! on: December 28, 2012, 11:43:17 AM
Maybe cointron should open its own exchange due to the amount of cryptic coins can mine on it. Would be a great idea to implement and have cointron exchange

As well as the coinotron pool has been run, I'd love to see them open an exchange.  Big +1 to this idea.

I'm not planning to open an exchange. I don't like the presure of keeping large amounts of other people's money Smiley

BTW

Payouts are not working yet. Still testing Freicoind's sendtoaddress RPC.

Explanation of the practicalities of demurrage accounting, written with application developers in mind:

https://github.com/freicoin/freicoin/wiki/How-to-properly-handle-demurrage-in-applications

I observed that you changed type of balance related fields in few rpc calls, for example getbalance, getinfo.
They are no longer decimal. Instead they look like :

"2358.09006344+934850464087855181388968773148467/10384593717069655257060992658440192"

I'm not sure how I should convert those values to simple decimal type.
Ommit everything after "+" ? Or perform whole calculation:
2358.09006344 + 934850464087855181388968773148467 / 10384593717069655257060992658440192

Do the math or you're rounding off too many numbers. You'll find computers are good at doing maths.

934850464087855181388968773148467 / 10384593717069655257060992658440192 = 9.0022825115555227875670197259871

I'd like to think an exchange operator is working to exact figures Smiley

hehe
Fortunately I'm just pool operator and I'm only working with 0.00000001 precision numbers Wink
BTW 934850464087855181388968773148467 / 10384593717069655257060992658440192 is closer to 0.090022... than to 9.0022..

I just would like to know why those balance fields are not decimal anymore. It is very inconvenient.

We have started a Freicoin pool !

1. You can use any BTC miner
2. On our website choose worker type FRC. Point worker to coinotron.com, port 8322 or 9322.
3. Depending on worker type you can have PPS or RBPPS rewards

Disclaimer
This is experimental pool. Currently there is no FRC exchange. FRC network is small and prone to 51% attack. You are mining terracoins at your own risk.

PS
Currently payouts are disabled. I will enable enable payouts as soon as I perform all tests .

Why is it I can never get the website to load?  Seriously, I mined for a few minutes, and have no idea how many coins I mined.
That is very strage. What browser do you use ?
