121  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much gambling can change a person and how low his mind can go. on: April 04, 2024, 07:37:26 AM
A boy in my hood also thought he was doing his father a favor, they are poor and he wasn't happy with the situation, he decided to steal from his father and go big into gambling, he got served a few days later, and the loss was big, his father broke down and nearly collapsed because that's all they had left.

People around, including myself couldn't keep looking as the father broke down, the next day we contributed some money and gave it back to the father, but I called the boy closer and told him some truth about gambling, since that time he changed.

He claimed he never wanted to do it, but the situation made him to, and he has some classmates in school who have won a good amount of money in gambling, he claimed he never joined them once, but his father and family situation is making him very sad.

OP I hope this isn't the situation going on in that family as we speak. Just because the guy stole from his father doesn't mean he is bad or a thief to be, he might have his reasons, I smell bad father and son relationship going on, if not the father should be able to handle this without telling anyone from the outside.

122  Other / Off-topic / Re: Gambling addiction is not about the money you could win; it's about the "win" it on: April 03, 2024, 11:52:43 AM
A gambler is a gambler, rich or poor but who needs to be more active with gambling? The dudes with the less money, and thats where  the poor comes in, they have the biggest desire to make the most money, they will go all into gambling thinking it's the way to get rich.

And the rich already have a source of income getting them the real bags of money, gambling to them is catching some fun.

The poor will fall mercilessly in the addiction of gambling compared to the rich men, a responsible gambler who isn't rich like I am don't see much fulfillment of getting rich through gambling.

I know that trying to get my mind fixed on gambling as my source of income will put me in much bigger trouble, I prefer having a great time in gamble and going to other sources for income stream.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Seed phrase backup against natural disaster areas on: April 03, 2024, 10:23:49 AM
Natural disasters are very common in some parts of the world but luckily I am from a country where such things don't happen since I was born I have never seen a real Tornado that tears things apart like in other countries, any earthquake and others either.

The worst that can happen here is a fire outbreak and in this case, I am always cautious with fire, still, anything can happen, and the safest option that I know of is stainless steel.

I carved my recovery seeds on a stainless steel and I keep it where I can quickly reach if anything bad happens, my fear here is just fire and nothing else.
124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Simple mistake that makes you lose everything on: April 03, 2024, 09:26:29 AM
I always have this kind of mistake before way back when I’m still inexperienced gambler. A simple mistake such as not placing a bet on a round that result to massive win just because my screen glitch makes me tilted that resulted to lose focus and bust all my bankroll quickly due to risky bets.

There’s some instances that I’m already winning big on blackjack then one of my bet is a pair of 10 which I accidentally double down instead of stand while I place huge bet triggers me a lot that result to terrible loss.

I’m sure many players here experience this kind of minor mistakes that resulted to terrible outcomes. Share your story and let’s have fun hearing it. I hope there’s no BS story…
Leave your area and move to a better city.

Some countries have bad internet even if there are lots of internet providers available.

Location matters a lot, you should try different networks.

This problem that you are having is from your internet, moving from a 4G network to a 5G here makes a huge difference, I can open up a complete website with animation effects in seconds, and before I always had to wait and wait for the who website to display.

The better your connection speed the better your gaming or gambling experience will be. Note that if anything should happen when gambling in your case it's not the casino's problem, they have no fix for you since it's not from their side.
125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling excites you ? on: April 03, 2024, 08:12:16 AM
Gambling gets boring when you play for a very long time and notice how so unlucky you have been, the last time this happened to me was last year when I gambled for months and had no good win to make me feel at ease with myself.

It was like losing $20 for weeks and weeks and when I won it was like $60 which wasn't enough to cover all my past lost money, this was when I stopped gambling for some weeks and I also switched the online casino, and it got a bit better.

I tried to enjoy gambling for a long and never looked at how much I was losing, I can afford it and it's why I am risking the amount, but it won't look so good when losing turns itself into your shadow, at this point you will feel something else entirely, like start questioning why casino even existed.
126  Other / Off-topic / Re: No interest in gambling if there is no profit or fun to be accountable. on: April 02, 2024, 06:09:13 PM
At a state you bets and looses and before your time-out based on your gambling budgets or plans you always recovers your lost without profits accounted, and you don't find fun in the games and this happens concurrently, Would you still consider to game in such casino site?
Or would you go for the one you would either loose of gains by profits or find funs gaming?

To me if profits and funs are not featured in gambling then I don't find any Interest in it

Fortunately, there is fun in gambling, tell me, which sports are you specifically into? Or you are like an uncle who gives no likeness to any sports? I do watch sports without placing bets, and I am always satisfied with the games, UFC for example, its a real life action movie in its own way, so satisfying.

Now If I can derive fun from sports why would I feel the same when I place bets on my favorite sports? I guess the right answer is not all humans like sports, they derive fun from other things, and my advice for such people is to keep doing what they love to do in their free time and days.

Sports is the only interesting part of gambling for me, followed by slots game but at times slots can be very boring too, first try to understand what you are, it's not a must for everyone to be a gambler if they don't like sports or other casino games, rule it out if the reason you are here is to make money from gambling.

What will follow next is addiction and frustration, trust me, if money is this easy to make no one will be poor in today's world.
127  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Unbacked stable coins are a big danger on: April 02, 2024, 05:04:41 PM
Thanks for the warning, I have hold Bitcoin as my store of value much more longer than USDT or other stablecoins, apart from the fact that Bitcoin is not as stable as USDT and others, I still choose Bitcoin because it's more reliable and its also decentralised.

I do believe that USDT is regulated and backed and its centralized, if its not it would have died a long time ago, there was a time where the fear of USDT depegging was in the air and it never happened.

I hold USDT for short period of time, for buying opportunities and also for profit taking opportunities but thanks for the warning, I want to believe that USDT is a reliable digital USD but some dangers still lurks around it.

Your money is still safer with Bitcoin than stablecoins, every Bitcoin volatility is welcomed by me, what is important the most is the timing.
128  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Claw Machines: a category of gambling? on: April 02, 2024, 12:21:55 PM
With the way you define the games it looks like its skill-based and that makes it better, at least you will know deep down that you are the one that sucks big time with the game, not in others where you will be doubting if the game is even fair or not.

Still some luck is presence in this game, you can miss your target as times or hit the bull's eye, but I kinda like this more than some casino Games, I can just decide yo practice some throwing skills, and the amount to risk on this type of game will be less.

Because there aren't millions of dollars probably waiting for you somewhere, like the fake hopes given by casinos, this is no form of addiction on this part, what you are aiming for is minimal, gadgets and a few other toys, this is where the fun will be acknowledged.
129  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Going all in and losing the bet on: April 02, 2024, 10:09:10 AM
I feel you. It;s natural to feel disappointed after a loss. I actually sometimes ask the same question on myself when I feel frustrated about the result of the game I didnt expect to come out as expected. Which later made me realize that wins and losses are part of the game. And in order for me to not feel the same thing again, I just set a budget, gambling with what I can afford to lose.
Winning and losing are part of the game, but going all in is foolishness, if people really understand that winning and losing are part of the game why are they going all in on a game? Losing all that money is just in the next corner waiting.

I can never be this desperate about gambling, where all I can do is risk all my money for one result, I know that people do this and they get positive results but that's not just me, it can never be.

Let's handle gambling like gambling, by not becoming so desperate to win, this is not a sports race where you handle the steering yourself, this is not a kickboxing ring where you have to fight yourself, the power isn't in your control, and people can't see how dangerous this can be?

131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How old would you be by 2140? on: April 01, 2024, 03:57:42 PM
I don't need to beat around the bush further because what I want you to know that perhaps you haven't thought to sit and give a careful consideration about, before being bothered about any FUD and FOMO Or the mere thoughts of investing in BTC is this;
* how old would you be by 2140?
* What's your excuse for not investing in owning Bitcoin now?

I have no excuses as I am already investing and doing DCA in bitcoins.  Smiley
I think there would be none in this forum, who have any excuse for not investing in bitcoin as everyone here know the benefits and future of bitcoins.

By the way, no one among us will be alive by 2140. Even a child who is born today will have to wait for another 115 years to see the year 2140 (which is highly unlikely to happen). This means that none of us who are reading this topic, will be alive at 2140 to see that year or even see the last halving of bitcoin.

If I can choose I don't even want to live up to 100 year in this world, I want to be gone, i have seen old people suffers because of their current bodies being too weak for them to manage, it's like another form of suffering.

I am a strong believer in Bitcoin and that's why I am investing very hard into Bitcoin, but everything must come to an end like they say, its possible that new innovations will best Bitcoin in the future, in the early 2000s not a single soul ever dream that something as good as Bitcoin will be created.

The same thing will happen someday again, this is why we must not dip our heads only into things that we believe in, as an investor we must be open to newer investment opportunities.
132  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How can we help beginners not to get addicted on: April 01, 2024, 03:07:13 PM
Everyone knows about gambling addiction, will they listen to advice from us who only gamble to kill free time? They are here for the money, and this is enough to blind them about the addiction side, if a friend wins millions through gambling, many friends who are even friends of a friend will want the same to happen to them.

What we want is what will get us trapped or keep us safe, be careful what you wish for, some things are not meant to be yours, and some journeys are not meant for you to embark on.

Its wiser to always do everything safely, gambling is not reality, it is a fantasy way to make money, and you are easily been deceived or manipulated, I believe in this so much, thats why I always stop when I win in gambling, what is expected of me is to keep on gambling, this is money that I don't work for.

Always remember this.
133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does prediction in sport work for you? on: April 01, 2024, 09:24:56 AM
I just do my thing, I don't use any prediction websites to gamble, and I don't gamble based on what others believe will happen, everyone knows nothing when it comes to prediction, we are all in the dark until the end of the game.

The lucky ones will win and the less lucky ones will lose, how hurtful your losses will get depends on how much you decide to risk on the games.

Is a prediction going to work? Only fools will believe that it will, because you are simply trying your luck, you can't solve a math if you can't see its questions, linear equations or other.

Do not expect predictions to keep working for you, its predictions and clearly its means that you won't always be right.
134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Is lack of proof a problem for you or not? on: April 01, 2024, 08:24:09 AM
Most online casinos are said to be regulated, they claimed to have a license to operate, but experts claimed that it's stupid if there isn't any evidence of them being regulated.

My question to all of you is ...

Have you verified that the online casino you are using now is verified? How can you tell that its verified because there is no proof of verified shown to the public.

Also, in any way, does it bother you if you can't be able to figure it out that the casino is regulated or not?

Do you think that if all online casinos can tender some proof of being licensed all it reduce scams in online gambling?
135  Other / Off-topic / Re: Can family members help a gambling addict? on: March 31, 2024, 09:26:27 AM
They can help If they care, or add more to the problem, you heard me right, someone was addicted to gambling and I was helping him to open is eyes and his elder sister instead choose to make jokes out of him, telling him that he is always this useless.

This guy told me how he won some money few months back and the news get to his sister which later came to ask him for some money and he refused to gave her any, this was the cause, and now that he is losing and losing again, she instead decides to make jokes out of him.

There are many types of families, even the parents are not all the same, but an addicted person who really wants to be saved will always be the one to take the steps first, you can't change someone who doesn't want to be changed.
136  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the #1 rule you live by in sports betting? on: March 31, 2024, 08:35:26 AM
We read you!

The same old rule that we've talked about many times already, to never use more than I can afford to lose, this doesn't end in sports betting only but in every other things, even when investing your money in reliable assets.

Investing what you can afford to lose on anything bring you comfy, even if anything bad happens you won't go down with it, because you risked a small amount of money, and if you are greedy you will always not be satisfied with risking small money, because you will always want the biggest rewards.

The problem is how one will know if what they are about to do will come out the right way that they wanted, even gods are not always right, and we are humans, its better to stay withing your boundaries, and always treat predictions as a possible failure.
137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give Away Bitcoin To Avoid Estate Tax on: March 31, 2024, 07:18:04 AM
You are so focused on Satoshi's bag and the tax, but not about the country he lives in, as if this tax thing is generally affecting all countries, where I am from we don't pay taxes, unless we start a big business on the government lands, schools, casinos and others.

Having Bitcoin is my business, I risk my money on something that may swim everything away some day, why the hell will the government want me to pay tax on only of this? I will gladly leave such a country and move to another.

Now, as per what you said in your post, who will be stupid enough to give out all their money so that they can evade tax payments? They will lose the whole money and thats dumb, why not use part of the money to settle the tax and keep the rest?

Nakamoto might not be an American citizen.

Even if he is, he will remain unknown till the end of time.

But something deep inside me believes that Nakamoto is far from being an American.

does betonline.com send an sms when you sign up?
Do they keep your money if they find out you use VPN?

Find something better, it's not the only gambling platform that ever existed.

This is even the first time that I have heard this name, it shows that it's a less popular online casino, and apart from the possible restriction on your location, they can decide to do you bad.

Unpopular casinos are not to be trusted, that's why I don't just go to any I can find online and start using it, if you can share your location instead you will get free names of good online casinos that you can use.

They can find out that you are using VPN, but the problem is if they don't support the use of VPN, have you read their ToS first? Just do the research yourself, if you can't find anything about VPN then do not bother to even use it.

If you win some money, they can make up the excuse that you use a VPN, they must say that VPN is supported or not, if they say nothing about VPN, do not use VPN, they will use that against you when you win.
139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Ordinals and Runes help Bitcoin to be a better system of electronic cash? on: March 29, 2024, 05:56:18 AM
We all know that these additions to Bitcoin Core have slowed down transactions and made transactions more expensive.

What is the justification for them?

Why are they being added when they make the network less efficient?

The last time I checked, the only good thing that ordinals and runes have done for Bitcoin is the increase in profits for BTC miners, even after the halving becomes a success and the reward gets lower, the existence of ordinals and runes will keep miners at work.

The high transaction fee will keep becoming a problem once in a while I hope that a solution will come for this issue, this is the only problem I have with ordinals and runes but money can still be made here, I am not just sure about the future of ordinals and runes, only time will tell.
140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My DIY Seed Storage on a soda can Inspired by Pmalek's Guide on: March 28, 2024, 05:05:28 PM
This is not entirely bad but I wouldn't do it, if you want to try this just know that you are going to get yourself cut few times, unless you gear yourself up with strong hand gloves or other protection.

I respect this idea, but its not for everyone, I will stick with using stainless steel and carving the recovery seeds on the steel, then keep the stainless steel in a case and keep the case in a locker or safe location.

Either its carved on a iron or steel, or even wood, which I don't recommend though, its all offline way of strong your keys, just make sure you don't fuck this up yourself and you should be fine for the long term.
