101  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will be used as a donation to the church on: July 27, 2018, 11:40:15 PM
It will be an amazing feeling, where a holy organization can take donation by bitcoin. We want to use our bitcoin in every sector of our lives and even in the donation. But That day hasn't come yet and I am very much confused about it. Maybe it will not happen ever  Sad Because Church is a hold place or organization, will they take donation which is volatile in price? or should I donate bitcoin there?
102  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is Bitcoin? ✅ on: July 27, 2018, 05:26:15 AM
Bitcoin is far safe than Myetherwallet. I mean bitcoin online wallets are pretty high security. I am using an online wallet, and almost 5 years running, still haven't faced any kind of problem. But, every month's people's myetherwallets are getting hacked.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] zFastminer - Fastest Zcoin XZC miner (on poolside) for nVidia Pascal GPUs on: April 05, 2018, 10:38:08 AM
Tried this miner on overclocked titan Xp's rig, while it does perform ~600kh better per card, achieving 3800khash per card (21% better than other miners), it's nowhere near the stated33-39mhash per 8 Ti's (4500khash average).

This is in miner by the way. Pool didn't show boost after 2.5 hours running. Also seeing that the OP won't tell the fee, which leads to believe it is draconic, can't recommend right now
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I shut it down tonight boys. on: April 04, 2018, 02:11:41 PM
Also to all people saying you can't profit at $0.20ct electricity cost... I have €0.22 over here and still make profit... It's all about the algo you mine and how you optimize your cards buddies
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I shut it down tonight boys. on: April 04, 2018, 02:10:27 PM
It's bad for hardware that worked hard to rest for too long my friend Smiley
80% chance your mobo will fail next time you turn it on back to mining

Awesome work by the team!
By the way the support team also does amazing work with new wallet rollout. Had a question and got resolution within literally 3 seconds DM on Discord.
This is insanely good
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: March 06, 2018, 03:26:00 PM
Good post.
I have to add though, that medium/large businesses invest into steadier endeavors, as they have internal governance and approval processes (often with multiple layers) and added bureaucracy. Even technology centered companies that are entering this field.
Therefore, investing in younger, unknown crypto, new algorithms, and finding some gems which ultimately will bring great technology (ex. ethereum, ex zcash, ex dash, etc) will undoubtedly be rewarded. Indeed you will need to get lucky for this to happen and be on a constant lookout, invest a lot of time in scouring for new tech, and having flexibility and time to experiment.

Another piece of the puzzle is the POW. As long as POW is alive (it's already being phased out or at least being part of hybrid model) mining will be alive.
However as blockchain tech evolves, I believe POW might be superseded entirely, as we see it in more and more projects.

Wow mining is absolutely garbo and only getting worse..

not really, the ROI of about 1 year - 1,5 year is very good in the business world. ROI will continue to go down, its a simple supply/demand/allocation of resources in the business world (which crypto has taken a seat in). As the marked matures, the risk decreases the ROI will also increase.

They will buy cards with quantity discounts, without/low VAT, they will have cheap electricity and they will try to get low taxes. and when nvidia and amd launches new cards they will be before you in the queue. Now let's assume things are going well! Right good for everyone? Not necessary, they will increase their investments into the sector, further increasing ROI and pushing your profits down. Their profits will be larger, their share of the market will increase. ASICS development for algoritms will increase, limiting the flexibility for GPU mining, if some companies with GPU mining has a large "breakthrough" the profits will be temporary, the asics will arrive. Or mining farms.

I have 3 riggs and think its great fun, but I'm not buying more(just replacing cards). Can you still make money on mining? sure. Great money? maybe. But current status and development the effort and risk I dont think see how ROI can go down. You can still get lucky. There is no scenario where we go back to old profits, that was early/first mover advantage (possible exception is an insane increase interest rates and inflation).

If you think the business world is just gonna sit and watch us make ROI >1 year and not jump in, you are in for a wakeup call.

My 2cents. I'm sure you will absolutely slaugther me, but wanted to share my thoughts.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: March 06, 2018, 09:33:18 AM
He's not using a pool he is solo mining, you can see that on the screenshot.
Yesterday tried with part of my farm the Nexuspool.ru, returns are about $3.5-4.5 per 1080Ti, nothing spectacular.
Solo mining might work better with this coin, but like others have said - most likely just luck factor. You can mine for weeks or mine for an hour and get a block.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Windows 10 v1709 always 1 less GPU (n-1) on: March 05, 2018, 12:29:40 PM
It's not a faulty mobo. Read below.

It's something else. I've had exact same problem, where i tried rolling back about 5 times, and then each time it all works.
Every time it auto-installs update, 1 gpu always disappers, doesn't matter how many connected, always n-1 (unless just 1 in system).
By the way I have the Nvidia GPU's 1080Ti's and an H81 Pro BTC mobo.

You can prevent issues by changing your lan connection to "metered connection" (google it). This will prevent the updates from coming.

Also, I assume this will be fixed if you do a clean install of new windows version, as all my other systems are on latest version and work fine.

@Lupanar

When will the date stamp of sending transactions be fixed?
Any time now a transaction is being sent from the wallet, it has an old date, not corresponding to current moment.
That's why many people were complaining they can't seem to see their sent transaction in the wallet. i.e. you need to scroll to it, or sort by sent and then see the relevant amount. If amount is same each time and address as well, there's literally no way to find it.

Not to mention amount of stress related to all of this!
Although all crypto is like that, if you ask me. Especially younger projects.

Man, this thread is friggin' scary. Makes me wonder what have I gotten myself into.

Messed up software, messed up exchange, unhappy stakers / miners...

I hope these are really just "growing pains"
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LUXCoin—New PHI1612 PoW/PoS Hybrid—PrivateSend—LUXNodes—Live on Cryptopia on: February 28, 2018, 10:37:53 PM
let me add:
5) Titan Xp 40.4 MH/s
6) Titan X pascal 38.8 MH/s

With current GTX1080(Ti) prices, these babies almost make sense

1) GTX 1070
2) GTX 1070Ti
3) GTX 1080
4) GTX 1080Ti

These cards is what I'm running. Should I use CCminer-phi or just version 2.2.2 or 2.2.4?
I'm using spmod for lux, running the cards @ 0.825-0.887V, getting
1) 20 MH/s
2) 25-25.5 MH/s
3) 26-26.5 MH/s
4) 36.6 MH/s

And was it like 100MH/s = 1 LUX, per day?
http://whattomine.com/coins/212-lux-phi1612

I suppose it depends where you mine and the GPU settings.
I am running 4 1080ti's & get an average 33MH/s per card. Avg 132 MH/s total.

I mine about 1.4 LUX a day.
Would be nice if the price can go up to $50 again Smiley

113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: February 27, 2018, 01:22:50 PM
Exactly. My MSi cards beat everything else in my park (Evga, Zotac, FE, Asus, Gigabyte)

2 more days and I'll have one of the best (if not the best) 1080Ti ! The EVGA FTW3 which cost me 950€.

For now I'll stick it into my secondary slot and use this beast solely for mining. After VIVE PRO is released I'll use the 1080Ti 20% for VR gaming and 80% for mining.

As for the new cards, I wouldn't expect them anytime before December. Right now Nvidia has no competition in the gaming sector and they don't seem to mind that much for the 1st place in mining. So why would they release a new card if AMD does not? Just to compete with themselves? I believe their best option would be to lay low until sales slow down.
ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme is defenetly better and faster.
i own one of that. its surely a beast compared to rest all of the 1080ti aftermarket solutions. easy stable at 2050-2088mhz core.

LoL my ROG STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING does 2050mhz stable core clock.

I Don't see any MSI card on your list guys, Gaming X or Trio Edition?
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Predicting upcoming VOLTA hashrate on: February 27, 2018, 01:17:13 PM
Don't expect any improvements over 1080Ti in the newly released cards. As others have noted, these most likely, will be a refresh. Therefore below could be expected:
- If it's a refresh based on 1080Ti shader count, there might be 10% increase (saturation of TDP, even with process optimizations / die shrink)
- If it's a refresh based on the 1070Ti shader count, there might be 15% increase (more room).
- If it's a new card based on cut down version of Titan V, see case of 1080Ti again. As the Titan V is about 25-35% faster than 1080Ti depending on the applicaiton, it is unreasonable to expect same gain for non Titan series.

All in all, my recommendation (given market conditions) is to load up on the Titan Xp (collector's edition cards) as these are retailing now below 1080Ti pricing and will definitely have better resell value. At the same time, with optimized temperatures these cards hash at least 10% faster than aftermarket 1080Ti's.

@Lupanar - are you guys considering to work together with Cryptopia to resolve the LUX wallet issues?
Deposits were stuck for over 5-6 days
Withdrawals are now blocked as well due to maintenance
Trade volume plummeting

I understand that probably this is not your highest priority, and it is a "3rd party" issue, but reality is, it is the only exchange where LUX is currently listed...

Wrong coin / asset buddy.

Hi!
I participated in the airdrop, but I do not understand whether this applies to your coin or not?
If so, how are the coins received sent to the local wallet?
Thank you!

Another issue with the wallet:
- timestamp of sent coins is not correct (verified against the system time etc). Just sent 12.37 coins shows datestamp of 21-02-2018 07:01. We all know that today is 23rd of February, regardless of timezone.

This is just... wow.
The 4.0 alpha was ok but with features disabled
The 4.0 beta was bugged all the way, but was not getting stuck on new blocks
The 4.2 was okay at first, but now getting stuck on blocks (29 hours behind...)

What's next?

You're right, my bad. Was traveling for business saw this between the flights and got spooked big time.
I just wish we'd have more status updates and more structured ones.
Like a weekly news with highlights, lowlights and main challenges of the week. Would give everyone a nice coherent perspective and insight, maybe even trigger community driven input on how to improve certain issues Dev team is facing.

Someone just dumped big time... Value is minus 25% already low value.
Devs dumping?

That's textbook FUD, man. Show data, not speculation.

Obama himself dumping it is just as valid.

price is going down slowly starting from 22nd January. if I was dev and wanted to dump I would do it around 22 January not now Smiley
