241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: May 09, 2018, 04:45:21 PM
Nobody can kill cryptos

Really?

- If the community doesn't find a way to expel all the criminal exploiting fake ICOs, crypto is doomed;

- If governments ban crypto exchanges due to money laundering, crypto is doomed;

- If criminal keep using cypto to fund terrorist activities and ransomware attacks, crypto is doomed;

- Etc...

Crypto can not be taken for granted, we have to fight for it's credibility and honesty.

I think encryption is different in different countries. That depends on the state's view of encryption. For example, encryption is not dangerous in Japan, but encryption is very dangerous in China.

Dangerous for whom? The dictators ruling the country? Them it might be good for the people, right?
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: May 08, 2018, 04:54:46 PM
I do not believe in electronic money, I just believe in the technology blockchain. If the electronic money does not run on this technology then I will never invest in this electronic money market.

You are already using electronic money! All your money is in your wallet right now, the rest is nothing but zeros and ones organised as database entries in your banking account.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's Time to Buy Alt Coin on: May 08, 2018, 04:49:36 PM
although alternative crypto currencies have become much more popular over the past six months, institutional investors who enter the crypto currency market, first of all, before diversifying their assets into other currencies, will begin investing in bitcoin.

That might be true for institutional investors but it's definitively not true for the average crypto enthusiast.

I know a lot of people who are betting only in altcoins, and I believe they are doing a safe bet.

245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum will overtake Bitcoin on: May 06, 2018, 06:28:47 PM
I wouldn't bet in any of the options.

Crypto evolution is completely unexpected; it's impossible to foresee what will happen in the next months.

I believe BTC will keep leading the pack for now, but in a couple year who knows?
246  Economy / Economics / Re: What cryptocurrency needs most nowadays on: May 05, 2018, 10:29:15 AM

Regulation is somewhat needed by crypto's right now since there are so many scam coins existing since anyone could able to create a token out of erc20 contract and government should hold that one since those are critical areas which could lead us to be more safer if government will enter the ICO's scene. I also believe that bigger markets could create a big noise so no wonder the more growth will came the more people and government pursue to get on the crypto space.

Indeed, some kind of regulation is mandatory in order to block the appearance of so many scam ICOs.

This will raise crypto's good reputation and credibility, factors of paramount importance for crypto to be widely accepted.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All coins are now dying, what do you think? on: May 05, 2018, 10:26:44 AM
I I hope the poster of this this thread must have come to a term with the fact that the cryptospace is so volatile and is prone to constant fluctuations. Now that the market is currently green attest to this fact after a long period of red. Red and Green remain the crypto colours.

Yep, this thread could be closed.

Altcoins are not dying, period!

The good ones are holding their own, the shit ones are naturally disappearing like they should.

That's it!

248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can I hold my altcoin for years in my wallet? on: May 05, 2018, 10:16:51 AM
It is perfectly possible to hold altcoins for many years in a software wallet.

Actually, it is advisable to do so instead of keeping the coins in an exchange. You never know when the next MTGox or Cryptsy is going to happen  Sad

On top of that, if you choose a PoS coin like you should, keeping the coins in your wallet will generate passive income as long as periodically open the wallet.

However, keep in mind that altcoins evolve so it is not a bright idea to leave your coins unattended for a long period of time.

Keep track of your coins' evolution because they might fork, leaving you behind on the wrong blockchain.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: May 04, 2018, 12:03:29 PM
hello

I'm new to the DMD community, find the coin very interesting.
How many DMD are needed more or less for daily staking rewards?

thanks

If you buy 1000 DMD and split them into 4 piles, 250 each, you'll have good chances of getting an almost daily reward. But this is not guaranteed. Read about PoS to understand the mechanics.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: It's Time to Buy Alt Coin on: May 04, 2018, 08:44:04 AM
For those entering the market, now is the time to buy PoS assets and hold to them for the long run.

Don't expect to get rich overnight.

Plan for your kids, if you have them.

Buy PoS v3 assets and hold, hold, hold...
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you truly believe in cryptocurrency on: May 04, 2018, 08:29:23 AM
Many of us believe in crypto. I think in a few years we'll be able to pay for crypto anywhere ...

I'm not so sure about that. I was expecting to see a lot businesses entering crypto but that is not happening. The markets instability is holding the widespread acceptance.

Yes, I believe cryptocurrency can bring me a lot of wealth. I think this industry has many opportunities for us to become rich. As long as we can seize it once, we can become a millionaire.

Crypto is much more than that but as long as you play fair, I guess it's OK to be here only for the profit.

Blockchain techs have the potential to change our lives, allowing us to transfer value without the interference of a banking institution and no Big Brother watching us. That is my belief!
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do we Need Altcoin? on: May 03, 2018, 09:46:29 AM
We need altcoins because they are the ones pushing for innovation and widespread crypto usage.

However, altcoins are also a major threat because 90% of them are pure trash, scams created to fool the greedy investors.

Conclusion: we need some sort of mechanism to filter the honest projects and put aside the shitcoins.
253  Economy / Economics / Re: Why is bitcoin stability important? on: May 03, 2018, 09:43:20 AM
Bitcoin stability is very important for investors confidence. Most investors don't feel confident in investing unstable coins.

Indeed, but stability comes with a price: heavy regulation.

Question 1: Who regulates?

Question 2: How will it be made?

Question 3: Are we willing to give up on the decentralized system?

We cannot have stability and decentralization simultaneously, we have to choose!
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: May 02, 2018, 08:55:29 AM
"A purely peer-to-peer version of electronic cash would allow online payments to be sent directly from one party to another without going through a financial institution" Satoshi Nakamoto

Let's keep in mind that crypto currency exchanges are all heavily connected to banking institutions and have to abide to some serious legal regulations.

The romantic idea of a fully independent system is still very far away as the world still relies on fiat for everything.

In the current political reality, governments are feeling threatened by what crypto stands for; freedom from banks and anonymity.

However, there is also a huge pressure to implement safer ways to make business and blockchain technologies are the answer to that.

Therefore, IMHO crypto will not be killed but it will be increasingly regulated.

255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is crypto industry dangerous ? on: May 02, 2018, 08:41:11 AM
Every new technology has a potential to be misused, crypto in no different.

It might be dangerous for the greedy newbie investor who will jump into the first scam ICO or shit coin and end up losing everything.

It might be dangerous for the old establishment because people will gradually stop using fiat currency.

It might be dangerous because it can cloak criminal activities.

But there is also a bright side to it, right?
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: May 02, 2018, 07:54:42 AM
Just letting everyone know that as of today my purchase of 433 dmds from Cryptsy still hasn't shown up.  I keep getting a generic answer that the wallet is in maintenance mode.  It has now been 6 days with no resolution so I am not sure what is going on there.  I would not purchase or deposit from Cryptsy until we get confirmation otherwise.

WTF?Huh Are you trying to mock us?

A lot of users here lost a lot of money in the Cryptsy tragedy, me included.

Why don't you find another place to play, another kind of jokes?

257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: May 01, 2018, 10:42:34 AM
If ETH turns into a POS coin, then i think that ethereum is going to go down like a rollercoaster, just take in consideration that the price is more than inflated because of all that people who is mining ETH in a daily basis.

Wrong! It's exactly the other way around...  Grin

ETH is constantly kept at a low price due to people systematically selling to pay for the mining costs (fees and electricity). There is demand but a huge offer supplied by a vast number of miners.

In PoS there will be an incentive to keep your coins, not sell them immediate. This will lower inflation, decrease supply, rise demand, therefore rise price!

Has there been any wallet development? What is the current version?

According to the OP the latest wallet is version 2.0.2 but in https://github.com/eagleflies/noblecoin/wiki/Download you can find version 2.0.4. That's the one I'm using and it works very well.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ¤ DMD Diamond 3.0 | Scarce ¤ Valuable ¤ Secure | PoS 3.0 | Masternodes 65% on: April 30, 2018, 04:18:52 PM
Just trying to make a bit clearer; each block found 35% goes to PoS and 65% to the lucky masternode

Each block is 2,26 = ,79 + 1,47 (35% for the PoS and 65% for the MN)

Привет!
Do i have to keep wallet open to get a reward?

No, you'll need to open it once every 20 days. That's the time your coin piles will take to mature and be ready to stake again.
